Hi all,I have a 55” TCL television. In my Living Room, I have a Sonos Soundbar, a Sub, and 2x Play 1’s for left/right surround.I am feeding the Soundbar with a TOSlink cable. The issue is, I cannot control the volume of the system with the TCL remote. (It only does the TV’s speakers)I can use the Sonos app on my phone but want to have a solution for any family member who is watching TV, to control volume easily. Can someone recommend a remote that I could purchase? Thanks in advance.-GC
I recently got my Sonos Arc and Sub. But my Samsung UE50J6240 isn’t always sending threw the audio to the Arc. I have the Sonos Arc connected on the HDMI ARC port. And I got it working when I installed the Sonos ARC. But when I turn the the TV off and on again then it will not connect to the Arc. I have to psychically shut down the tv (disconnect the power plug from the socket). When I turn the tv on again then it will connect to the Sonos Arc and send threw the audio. Is there something I can do? I want the TV to send the sound threw HDMI ARC when I turn it on and the put the Sonos Arc on the TV source.I tried changing the sound output on the TV to receiver when it’s not sending. Then it will try to connect to the receiver (ARC) but eventually it won’t send any audio. I tried searching on the tv for HDMI-CEC /Anynet+ devices. But no result. Thanks in advance!
Hello, I have a pair of Sonos Five’s in white that I want to mount about 7 feet off the floor. Would these Vebos Mounts angle them down enough or should I go with the flexon vertical mounts available on the Sonos site. https://www.vebos.co.uk/vebos-wall-mount-sonos-five-rotatable-white-vertical.html thanks in advance
We purchased the new Sonos Brand speaker stands for our Sonos Ones. We place them behind the couch for surround sound. They are too low/short. We should have bought the Sanus adjustable ones but we are stuck now. I need about 6 more inches. Can’t really find a proper looking riser the raid them.Does anyone know if Sonos sells a longer “pole” for these? First world problems I guess but annoying either way.
Hello all.I’m coming right now into Sonos sound world. I’ld like starting with Sonos Beam, although I’ld like to read a real technical features chart. Is there a way where to read frequencies range, impedance, etc?Thank you so much.
I moved into a house with Sonos speakers in each room. But have no instructions. I have a small tablet fixed to the wall where I should be able to control it. But after downloading the app on my phone and trying all I know and understand I can’t get connected. can any one help? thanks mezzabeth
I must admit that I am extremely impressed with my stereo pair of Play 5’s,with the Sub…..The system is so good that I pretty much can’t believe you can get this much sound quality at these prices….I was an audiophile for years and spent a bundle on high end equipment….This set up has me impressed, but I wonder if the dream will end sooner than I’d like, since these cost “so much less” than many standard audio products of the past…..Hmm?How have your older Sonos products held up?Thanks in advance.-:)
I currently have a Connect as input to a Yamaha sound bar w/ sub with a Samsung TV. I’m thinking of replacing the Connect and Yamaha with a Beam. That means I have two fewer things to plug in and take up space in my small den. I thought I’d use the Connect to feed music to the Yamaha system but I just never do.I will keep my two paired Play:5’s in my kitchen and a Play:3 in my home office. Those are on WIFI.My Connect is connected to my router via ethernet and would do the same with the Beam. My TV has ARC. I don’t really think I’ll miss my current sub. I’m really after better voice clarity on TV (sucks to get old!).My question….Is this all a seamless setup...Beam, 5’s and 3? Does having the Beam on ethernet buy me anything? Thanks.
Hello,I have a Fiio X5 iii, how can I listen music from my Fiio player to my Sonos system (Bem + 2 sonos one) ?
I have a Sony X9500H and a Sonos Arc. I want to buy a 4K disk player - what’s my best option for Dolby Atmos compatibility and in general? The TV has an eArc input. Any suggestions would be super helpful as I don’t want to buy a dud and not get to enjoy the best sound I can.
Would anyone be able to answer this question about S1 and S2 appsI'm presently using the Sonos S1 app to play music library stored on my Ipad device. The S1 app also allows me to play my music library through a 3rd party app called 'Djay'Using 'Djay' allows me to cross fade tracks and also provideEqualisation on the volume across the entire library. Can you please tell me if the S2 app will also permit this integration with Djay to allow crossfade and volume equalisation.Thank youFrank
Hello, just read the news that two subs could be installed now, but why is it still not possible to add two fronts or rear height speakers?think that more people would love that!!
Hello,Is it possible to not only show dolby atmos in the app. but also if it is stereo, dolby, dolby 5.1, etc..Further it would be nice it lip-sync could be changed in minus direction, don't know if that is possible? Thanks.
Hi Sonos Folks, I am thinking about buying an arc soundbar and wondering how it will work with my current set up. Thus , i have a questions hoping i can get answered.Current set upplay5 gen1play1 gen1play1 gen2 x 2total of 4 speakers Question:If i buy an arc sound bar will i be able to connect all of my sonos together (wirelessly) so i can get surround sounds for movies? If #1 is not possible, what can i do to have surround sounds and connect all of my speakers w/the television? Thanks in advance folks.
On the website it says: Sonos products that connect to your TV using HDMI-ARC are compatible with both IR and RF remotes. Make sure your TV has CEC enabled and your Sonos home theater product is connected to the HDMI-ARC port on your TV.So, what I don’t understand is how does that allow my remote (an RF remote to a A/V receiver) to control the volume? If I have the A/V receiver connected via a normal HDMI cable, and the Beam connected to the HDMI-ARC, when I adjust the volume on my A/V receiver, will the Beam adjust it’s volume?
Anyone else having an issue with Sonos App not recognizing the system when playing the new series x? I had to re-pair my sub and SL surround speakers twice in one day after playing Xbox Series x… system and app works absolutely fine until I turn on the Xbox after that the app doesn’t recognize my surround set up...audio still plays but I lose all functionality with the app
Hii want to set up my playbar with front and rear left and rightsi have play 1’s for the rear and play 3’s for the front.can I set this up do they are all on my master bedroom tab
We have a group in the family room. It has a Beam, Sub, and two One’s. we also have a 19 month old son that loves to touch the top of the beam to pause the music… ALL THE TIME!!! Using the S2 Sonos app, it appears that the only option is to turn off touch controls for ALL speakers in the group. This is extremely annoying when using Alexa to play music and not being able to quickly adjust the volume. Is there any logical reason why touch controls cannot be turned off for only one speaker? There must be a way… right? Please?
Short Version: Can anyone out there who has their movie collections ripped to a Plex server and using Apple TV 4K speak to the experience they’ve had with Arc (or Beam / Playbar if connected via HDMI ARC)? I’m concerned / curious about how this combination works with differing audio formats / codecs. ****************************** Really Long Version: 99.9% of my viewing these days comes from an Apple TV 4K. Mostly via the usual streaming apps, but also in large part via my movie collection ripped, stored, and played via a local Plex server. While I keep a BD player hooked up to the TV, I honestly don’t remember the last time we used it (it’s there more as a backup / just in case). Current audio setup is an older Onkyo THX receiver and a 3.1 speaker setup (L/C/R/Sub) simply because I haven’t been able to figure out a decent way to run surrounds that my wife would be happy with in the 12 years we’ve lived in this house. I’ve got a Sonos Arc on order and, if I can get Atmos out of
Hi, I removed the Bridge from my Sonos system and it works fine without it. But I hate to just throw electronics in the trash. Could I use the Bridge as a WiFi extender at home? Is there any other use for it? Thanks.
Would there be a benefit to having both the Arc and the Sub connected directly to ethernet (Cat 5e)? I also have surrounds, but they have no wall jacks near them for wired internet) Or is it faster to just connect the Arc and have it create SonosNet? Advice on how to make the fastest/most responsive surround set up are appreciated!
Hi everyone, Please help.I’ve had a gen 1 system for years with no problems, As of 12 months ago it started dropping out when streaming from spotify. I run a bridge hardwired to the router, a gen1 connect hardwired to my amp but wirelessly to the bridge and a connect amp wireless to the bridge. The problem seems more frequent on the connect but does also occasionally happen with the connect amp. So far I’ve upgraded my wifi to super fast fibre, changed channels on every piece of equipment i have, including sonos, It still happens, I then ran it with all other equipment depowered, It still happens . I’ve moved the router next to the connect, I’ve replaced the bridge with a Boost and finally I tried hard wiring the connect to the bridge. It still happens. I have no hair left.I’m about to throw it all in the bin.Is there anything else I could try before I do?
Lousy service and poor information. Bought an $800 sound bar for the TV. The directions say "download the Sonos app to connect it to the TV." But in the App Store there are a dozen Sonos apps. After an hour waiting for tech support to ask which one I use, I called the salesmen at MAGNOLIA (the operate out of Best Buy). They told me the wrong app, which I found out when I tried connecting to the TV. And the directions with the sound bar didn't match the app choices. While trying to connect, it told me this was the wrong app. It told me the right one, which I downloaded. But once I logged in, it took me to Terms and Conditions...and a dead end. No button to hit "accept." No access to connection process or controls. Only access to pages selling Sonos products. Called the store again, saying I needed help or I'd return the product. They texted "return it." I’m returning it.
Please assist :) Sonos AMP is pretty old but still very good.I can't move the amp due to the wooden custom made cabinet :\Also there is no ethernet cable there, all wireless… help me :)
