Sonos Voice Control

First of all the App (I know, shocking right) is incredibly confusing and ambiguous, and isn’t clear if voice control is actually installed on my Move 2 or not. Some sections appear to say it is, but I think this is partly because the app doesn’t off doesn’t always clearly differentiate between individual speakers or global system settings. When I try to add Sonos voice control to ‘another speaker’, the Move 2 appears and I follow the onscreen directions, but it always fails after a few minutes. The mic button on the back is on, by the top one is off, and it just flashes for a while when I press it. All firmware and software up to date at time of posting. I have tried a factory reset but doesn’t help.  Is there another I can try, or is yet another broken feature I will just have to wait for to be fixed?

 I'm not sure if it's a Beam or Internet issue, the mic just stopped responding to my queries. I uninstalled SVA then when I'm trying to install it, the installation takes a long time and fail afterwards. Even Alexa won't install. Any ideas? I already tried reset and rebooting my phone it still won't install.  

I have to play my Sonus through the app on my phone, it will answer questions and higher or lower the volume but it won't play the music when directed. 

Hi alljust purchased a new ROAM SL and Sonos Voice Control does not show up in settings.I only see Alexa and Google Voice controls.I notices some (very old) messages pointing to router/dns issues. I'verebboted router changed two times DNS rebooted networks optionsbut SVC stilll does not show up.can you help ?EDIT : SONOS SL does not have microphone...sorry i missed that

Hello allIn France, when i say « hey sonos mets franceinfo », sonos plays a playlist with name franceinfo. But franceinfo is a famous radio in France.  So i cannot listen franceinfo with VoiceControl.how to fix that? Sonos ?regardsquentin

I want to turn off voice control 

how do I change the language that my Sonos is speaking? I’ve tried to change the language but there’s no where in the app to change it.

My Sonos voice control won't action simple commands like set timer. I try and it makes a double sound and says there's an error use the Sonos app.I also cannot connect Alexa no matter what I do from any app. And once Bluetooth is connected to a device it will constantly try and reconnect even if the device is off. I try tapping the Bluetooth button, it turns off and then after a few seconds it tries to reconnect again. It even makes the reconnection sound though music. I have to unpair it from the connected device for it to stop.So three issues. Cannot connect Alexa, cannot use voice control for some commands and cannot stop Bluetooth from reconnecting constantly. I'm at the point where I might just take them back. 

Now and then while watching TV, my Sonos system seems to hear a command from the TV audio - I assume some chunk of audio sounds like enough like “Hey Sonos” to get triggered. This causes the audio to duck, and sometimes the system says “Yes?” I feel like the system should be smart enough to ignore its own output. If it’s supposed to be, it’s not working in this case. I feel like this doesn’t happen when playing music, just TV audio via eARC.

everyone should know that Sonos voice control is absolutely terrible and does not even support YouTube Music. It’s a swindle to try to con you into buying their music service. The only one that supports voice control. I’m absolutely returning this thing immediately. It used to be illegal to false advertise in this country. when I bought this thing, I absolutely envisioned myself controlling YouTube Music with my voice using this device And was 100% convinced that that was going to be possible. but no. sonos: Very clunky and incompatible. does sound good though

Is there currently no way to play BBC radio through voice commands? Like ‘ok Sonos play BBC radio 1”? I’ve also added it to my favorites and still can’t get it to play radio 1 via voice. Like ‘ok Sonos, play my favorites’. I assume, currently there is no voice control for radio, as at the moment it plays a promo for radio 5 (random) when I ask it to play radio 1.  

I’ve just recently installed a Sonos Arc with eArc from a Samsung TV. I’ve noticed while I am watching video from a FireStick 4K Max, occasionally (seemingly randomly), the Arc will turn on or off the microphone. I haven’t noticed this happen while watching cable TV or through other HDMI sources (blue-ray, etc).I haven’t been able to narrow down any more details around when this happens other than it seems to be randomly and only with the Firestick input. I haven’t found anything similar on searches, but has anyone else experienced similar or how to get this to stop? I’m not using Alex or any other voice services other than Sonos Voice Control.

Hello -Is there a Sonos Voice Command I can use to play from my Favorites (My Sonos) as configured in the Sonos app? 

A couple of weeks back, our TV or spectrum or Sonos has started narrating every click of the remotes associated with our TV.  Example:  If I Click the volume up it narrates that I am clicking the volume up. I’m not sure what device is doing this…. But it’s driving me insane. Can anyone give any advice?

I can’t seem to install Sonos Voice Control in my Beam Gen 1.  It keeps on saying: “There was a problem adding Sonos Voice Control.  Make sure your products connected to WIFI.”   Alexa is working fine though.  How do I resolve this?

I have the latest version of the Sonos app according to App Store however when I go to voice settings it does not show any option for Weather location?

Hi All,My sonos beam (in 5.1 configuration) suddenly stopped responding to voice commands- neither Alexa nor hey sonos work. I tried rebooting, forgetting sonos skill and re-enabling in Alexa app, also de registering and re registering- no avail. Voice commands are working well in all other devices- Move etc. I wonder if something is wrong with Beam hardware and it’s not able to listen to my commands anymore? it’s really annoying- and any help and guidance would be much appreciated. It appears the “hey Sonos” command only pulls music or station from the sonos radio service, even if you have another service set to default.  hey Sonos always defaults to their Sonos service. Ive tried every verbal command possible.  I'm trying to play specific station from audacy and iheartradio. I give the command “hey Sonos, please today’s 101.9” or “….. from audacy”…..neither one does a thing.  it doesn't respond and just turns off.  if I say “hey Sonos play 101.9” it will play another 101.9 station that is in the Sonos service.  how you do you make “hey Sonos” work with the other services?  I hate having to do it from within the app.  I just want to talk to it.  I dont use Alexa or google.  I use Siri and HomeKit.  Siri completely understand and will play through my phone to my Sonos speakers...I dont want that as it uses my phone to play.  I want to use hey Sonos and have it stream directly to through the sonos speaker, not through my phone to the speakers. if sonos doesn't fix

The Sonus won`t play the channels I want through voice control, it selects Welsh of it`s own volition, I have to play the channel I want through Android. 

Hello, am I able to control my Sonos Five with a voice command if it is paired with Sonos voice-enabled speakers such as a set of Eros 100s?

I know LTE routers are not supported and I have read all the related articles but, so far, I have managed to create a system with a 2nd gen One (second one due to arrive in the next couple of days) and a Sub Mini, update each product and connect to Spotify and BBC Sounds without any real trouble. I managed to get Alexa working once I found out that you have to delete the Amazon Shopping app to make the connection work. I also tried adding Google Assistant before realising that you can't have both that and Alexa on the same speaker. The only thing I can't get to work is Sonos Voice Control. I have tried using 5GHz WiFi, 2.4GHz WiFi and even a hotspot but no dice. The "update" (don't ask me why SVC should be an update and not part of the basic firmware) crawls round to the full circle, hangs there fire a minute or two and then fails. I have tried wiping the app but to no avail. N. B. I am using Three's 5G broadband on a ZTE Mc801A and have a good stable 5G signal.  Can anybody (@Corry P)

I can use voice control to listen to music on Spotify. When I ask for Radio 4 i am told there is an issue with my music provider. I have reauthorised etc. I can connect to Radio 4 via the app but not with voice control.
