Random output from Sonos speaker

Sonos randomly thinks someone has asked it a question and provides a useless (and loud) answer to the non-question.  It doesn’t happen often but it’s often unnerving if it does. It has nothing to do with the TV being on, as has been given as “the” answer on questions from other users.  It doesn’t ususally happen then. It sometimes happens when no one is in the room where Sonos lives. I am told to turn voice control off, and I may do that, but isn’t this a bug in SONOS software that they should fix?

The microphone is likely picking up a sound in your home that it detects as a voice command. If you don’t use Sonos Voice Control or any other voice assistant, just remove the voice assistants from the affected device or disable the microphone.
