I’m just starting buy buy philips hue products and wants to see if the Sonos will work well with Philip Hue Sync Box. I want to know first if I can connect it directly to the TV I’m going to use or do I need to have another device like Apple 4K to use it correctly? I own a lot of Sonos products and need to make sure I’m spending my money on something that works!
When I try to play music on Sonos group set from Apple Homekit I get “Controls unavailable for this device.” The speakers (Playbase, Sub and 2 Sonos Ones) are grouped as home theater set. How to solve this?
Sonos Community, I have a 4 room Sonos setup that works well together and is linked to all my music accounts. I also have a Google Hub and multiple Google Homes and Minis in different rooms in the house. Is it possible to play a song on spotify (or any music service) across the entire network of speakers, both Google and Sonos, simultaneously?
Hi there, I’m wondering if it’s possible to achieve this with Sonos if garage door sensor shows door opened for ## minutes, then play a specific alarm in Sonos until door is closed or a set time limit is up. Any suggestion on how to achieve this?
I have had problems controlling the volume of the Sonos Beam with a Harmony remote ever since I purchased the Beam about 6 months ago. The volume control (using the Harmony) seems to work for a period of time and then stops. It may be related to playing music through the Beam then switching back to the TV. Usually I reboot the TV, Beam and Harmony hub and it starts working again. This time it doesn't resolve itself. I can control the beam through the Sonos app. I cannot put the volume up/down/mute using the Harmony remote. I also can't put the volume up/down/mute using the Harmony app on the phone. I have read quite a number of online articles and have tried selecting "TV" again in the Sonos app. That doesn't fix it. I have also tried switching the remote to only using IR for the Sonos beam but when I sync remote and app it resets itself to wifi + mini blasters. I have tried hanging one of the mini blasters in front of the Beam but that also doesn't work. I can't re-program the volume
Hi I’ve been trying to connect my ring doorbell 1 with my sonos but not getting anywhere. I’ve tried the IFTTT applets but that’s not working either. Any ideas anyone?

Hi All, I have a problem with adding my Sonos speakers to HomeKit after i did a reset of my HomeKit (i.e. removing the house and re-creating it). The speakers are found by the Home-app, but when i tap the Sonos speaker i get a response “Airplay Unable to to connect to [name speaker]”. This is strange because AirPlay does work correctly when selected. Only problem is that i cannot add the speaker to Apple’s HomeApp. I did read through the forum but nothing works for me. I did: Reboot the (i.e. power cycle) the Sonos speakers Reboot my iPhone Restarted my Router See attached screenshots on the procedure i followed. I also added a screenshot of My System in the Sonos-app. Who can help?
Hi all, I just bought Sonos One and it works perfectly. Did add Apple Music service, works with Air Play, ... So far, so good. Then I tried to add it to my Home via ... Add Accessory Don't Have a Code or Can't Scan? ... but my device didn't appear there even after couple of minutes. I was searching this forum and I've found that I have to disable Group Non-AirPlay Speakers. The problem is that this option is there (control app), but it's greyed out (can't disable it). Trying to disable it in the Settings - AirPlay. Sonos Control app version 9.2 (build 46357271), Sonos One speaker 9.2 (build 46357250), iOS 12.1. How can I disable the Group Non-AirPlay Speakers to make it working with HomeKit? Thanks, Robert P.S. I tried to disable Home in iOS, reboot Sonos One, etc. Nothing helps. This is the only thing that doesn't work for me. Rest works like a charm.
OK, lots of us have had issues with losing connection with SiriusXM. Today, I was listening to one SiriusXM station and when I changed to another SiriusXM station, I lost the connection! And now I can’t listen to any SiriusXM station. The status page shows SiriusXM is up and running, and I can get SiriusXM on another device. And I can listen to any TuneIn station I want. Any suggestions? I’ve yet to see a definitive answer to the question that lots and lots of us have. Ok, one hour later, my connection to SiriusXM comes back. And I didn’t do anything such as reboot the router, reinstall the app, etc. I just tried to connect every 5 or 10 minutes, and I finally connected. Any ideas? One thing: even though this seems to be a somewhat common problem, I’ve yet to see an explanation of the problem. But maybe I’ve missed that. If I knew why I was losing connectivity, I may be in a better position to fix my problem.
Does anyone know of how I can display the artwork of the currently playing music on a TV, ideally with the song name, album name, and TV? I listen to a lot of playlists and I'd love to be able to see what artist/album I'm listening to. Is there any third party integration that will do this?
Hi, I’m thinking of buying a SONOS AMP, and I want to connect my 2 BeoLab 8000 speakers. BeoLab uses 8-pin Power Link cables. How to connect these to a SONOS AMP, what type of “in between” cable is needed, and how to set this up? Thanks for your help. /Ulf
Hello, I am unable to add 2 x Sonos one to Apple Home, I get the following error:Couldn’t add AccessoryHome couldn’t connect to this accessory I have tried the following, deleted the home app, started a new home, uninstall the sonos controller from my iphone, restarted the sonos one multiple times. Wifi signal is excellent, I have unifi wifi network, tried asus router, nothing has worked. I can see both speakers show up under the home app but they error out when I select to add them. I can play on both speakers using airplay from music app but unable to add them to the homekit. :(
One of the best features of sonos system is playing different music from the same spotify account on multiple Sonos speakers at the same time. When I use Google Assistant to start playing a song in a certain room, it works great. But when give a secomand command to play a different song in another room, it stops the already playing stream. I believe it forwards the comannd to Spotify, and not to Sonos. My setup is two Sonos play:1s, and android based assistant / google home app. I will get a google home mini, and a google home hub What am I missing?!
I have my Beam set up in my living room, an Echo in my bedroom, and an Echo Dot connected (via aux) to a non-Sonos speaker in my kitchen. Is it possible to play the same music (e.g, on one Spotify account) on the Beam and the Echo devices at the same time? If not, is my only alternative to be able to stream music throughout my apartment to add more Sonos speakers to my ecosystem?
Is there any way to use sonos on the Samsung smart fridge with the Bixby built into it?
Initially purchased the IKEA Symfonisk speakers which worked great. Recently tried to incorporate the volume control from IKEA as well and have had nothing but frustration. Plugged in the TRÅDFRI gateway and it wanted an update to add the audio control device. Try to update the app and it say the gateway is already up to date… Saw some chatter from 2018 that certain networks don’t play nice with the gateway. I have a prouser network set up with Ubquity products. I physically go to friends plug in the gateway to get it updated. Go home and now the IKEA app won’t find the any of my 8 sonos products. This has been a very frustrating experience. Anyone else run into this?
Hello, I own several different Sonos products. I recently purchased a Sonos One for the bathroom and grouped it with a play 5 located next to it in our bedroom. The grouping works, however if I use Alexa to control the Sonos one it only play on this device, but not on the play 5.Is there a way to avoid this and have the music play on both if they are grouped - and if not, why….?Thank you guys!
Hi Sonos Community, Does anyone know how to use apple home kit's automation feature for a Sonos Beam. I'd like to be to create an automation that play music at a certain time, or turn off the Apple TV at a certain time. My Sonos Beam is listed in the home automation but I can't do anything with it. The speaker icon stays greyed out. Any links to articles or videos regarding this topic are greatly appreciated. Luis
I have a playbar and two play:1’s. A few weeks ago I picked up the Ikea Symfonisk remote and it worked perfectly with my setup. Last night, my internet went out and my symfonisk remote wasn’t working. I went to set it up again and completed the setup succesfully through the ikea smart home app. However, the app still does not recognize my remote as a device. After successfully setting it up, the remote still doesn’t work and does not appear on the list of devices. I’ve tried disconnecting my account from the app, and also re- set up the ikea hub and the problem persists.
I honestly don’t know if this is an Assistant problem, a Vizio problem or a Sonos problem but figured I’d post here since you all are such a great community.I have a Vizio 55” P Series 4K UHD TV hooked up over HDMI ARC to a Sonos Amp and controlled over Google Assistant (activated via Sonos Ones set-up as rear speakers)Until recently, I could turn the TV off and on via Google Assistant. Now, I can only seem to turn it ON. In both cases, assistant responds to the command in the affirmative but the TV doesn’t turn OFF when I say off.I suspect it could be the Sonos component because it responds that the Sonos TV Den Control is the one responding despite there being a Chromecast built-in to the TV also.I have confirmed CEC is enabled. I can’t remember exactly when this started but it used to work perfectly well. I have tried hard rebooting the TV.Any other thoughts or suggestions?
So I recently updated to the new Sonos integration, per Smartthings' recommendation in their September 17th email. That is, I changed the 'type' to "LAN Sonos Player Websocket". This, of course, broke my existing scenarios involving Sonos, such as playing a white noise playlist when I turn on the "goodnight" routine. In trying to do something similar with the new app, I cannot find the setting to play a playlist (or any sound, for that matter) from any of my Sonos speakers. The only options available are to set the volume, or to mute/unmute. Does anyone know how to accomplish this simple task which was quite easy before? Thanks!
Has anyone managed to get Sonos speakers to show up as devices in the Shortcuts app? I have Sonos Ones and they are set up in the Home app, but they won’t show up as devices in the Shortcuts app so I can add them to scenes/automations.
Does anyone know of a way to use Apple Automations to group Sonos speakers? I have set up the Automation shown in the image, which streams music from Apple Music to a Sonos One in my hallway. However, I want to add a step between Set Playback Destination and Set Volume that groups my Hallway Sonos One with my other Sonos Ones, therefore streaming the music to multiple rooms. Any ideas/help would be much appreciated.
Hi Community, I recently installed two outdoor zones (1 with in ceiling speakers in outdoor kitchen and 1 with two outdoor waterproof speakers attached to the house). I want to hook up the outdoor TV to the both Sonos amps/zones. The TV has the ability to connect via bluetooth but as we know Sonos runs over WiFi. My question is if it is better to run hard wires from the TV to the Connect Amps. If so, how can I get both amps wired together so I can play sound in both zones? If not, does it make sense to buy a WiFi to BT converter and connect that through the Connect Amps somehow and then connect to the TV via BT. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Rich
