Dear all, I've worked in IT my whole life and feel confident with computers, networks, and peripherals, but this Sonos issue has me stumped.My friend’s Sonos system includes seven devices: the Arc is on Ethernet, while the others use Wi-Fi on a new, high-speed Asus router. Everything works flawlessly, and the Sonos app opens smoothly on both his MacBook Pro and iPhone.The problem starts when we add a new Sonos Move 2 to the Wi-Fi. Although the router shows it as connected with no IP conflicts, the Sonos app immediately exits its active mode, displaying an error message instructing me to check network settings, firewall, and allow incoming traffic—all of which are already configured. Turning off the Move resolves the error, but turning it back on reintroduces it.Everything is updated to the latest software. Has anyone encountered this or can suggest a fix? It's driving me nuts! :)Best regards// Roberto

So new internet provider and router. Speakers can’t be found/ connect to new system. Do I have to do a factory reset or am I missing something here? 

good evening, I have a question. I bought two Sonos ERA 100, I wanted to connect them to my hi-fi system. if I bought the original line in adapter and I connect it to the system, do both speakers work or just the one connected with the cable? does the speaker not connected via cable communicate with the other one that I connected with the adapter? thanks

Sorry if this topic has come up before and if there are solutions being developed.  However, I have built and rebuilt my music libraries at least 6 times now.  Each time I create them I am able to establish them and index all of the files.  Then I am able to play music from them for a day or two.  Then after a day or two the music libraries have disappeared and it is as if they have never been created.  Needless to say, I am sick and tired of having to rebuild these libraries every few days.  I am really at the point where I am ready to ditch my Sonos system and make an investment in a different system that is reliable and stable.  I used to really love my Sonos system and have enjoyed it for many years.  But these days the reliability of the system and the app are so poor it is not even worth using it any more.  Please tell me something is being done to fix this.

HiI currently have an ARC, Sub gen 2, and 2x Era  300 as surrounds. They are currently in a detached room and i absolutely love watching movies “as they are meant to be watched” We may soon be moving to a semi detached house which will mean my set up will be in a room joined to a neighbor and i am worried my levels my be a problem so i am looking for advice on placement and vibration mitigation.Worst case scenario, i have purchased the Ace headphones but i would obviously prefer to not use them all the time.Any ideas anyone ?

I’ve upgraded to new iOS app (80.01.11) on iPhone running 17.5.1. Sonos Playbar & Play:1.Sonos app settings have Local Network & Bluetooth enabled (disabling either makes no difference). App reports No System Found, and I can’t add system. It is connected to my Wifi (I can see the devices via wifi mgmt tool). I can see and control the system via Sonos Controller for PC (v16.2) over wifi - so there is no problem with my network setup, or the Playbar/Play:1 connection to the network.Is this a known problem on this new app, any known workaround or fix? 

 I have been trying, to no avail, to manage my SONOS One SL, through hard reset, factory reset, WiFi and WLAN connections. Incredibly frustrating. I get the following message: Sonos One SL has been added but may not appear in the system settings. In this case, unplug the power cable and plug it in to complete the setup via the system settings.This system message obviously doesn't help to resolve the issue. While the SONOS appears to go through the configuration and rest, it does not appear in the app. When I attempt to AirPlay, the speaker shows up as Unnamed Room. Unfortunately the inconsistency of the AirPlay connectivity results in the speaker only 1 in 9 or 10 times being available to stream to.  I can’t even access the speaker from the app to play directly from SONOS or local library as it doesn't even show up in the app as a connected and configured/manageable device. So annoying.  Anyone else getting this? Any suggested troubleshooting? I have updated all the components, app, ph

I would like to change the default alarm or timer notifications if possible. Is that configurable in Sonos and if so how do I do that? Thx

I am trying to connect Soundcloud to my Sonos system. Once I have chosen to add Soundcloud and logged in, I get to an activation screen where I am asked to “Enter the code from the device you are trying to activate to sign in. This code will refresh after 5 minutes.”I do not see an activation code anywhere (doesn’t pop up on the phone, the Sonos app, or by email). Any ideas about how I can complete this process?

Hii I have a pair of 5 Gen 1 speakers which were fantastic and I still think of ways to do so. Could I take an analogue output from the Sonos Amp into the aux socket on the 5s (with the correct cable!) and use the amp to divert sound and control the volume controlled via the gen 2 app? It makes sense to me but I’m sure Sonos have a block for it. 

As of this morning, the microphone on the Sonos Beam is not responding to input. The light is white, but doesn’t blink or dim when I say “Alexa” or “Hey Sonos”. I can switch the microphone on and off manually by touching the button. I’ve unplugged it, waited 30 seconds, and plugged it back in. The Sonos app on my iPhone shows everything is connected and working. I also tried uninstalling and re-installing Alexa on the Beam, but no joy. I installed Sonos voice control on one of the Era 100s, and that works as expected. Any assistance will be appreciated.

I've just bought a beam gen 2 and set up the google assistant but when I ask it to play music it tells me "sorry it looks like you have not set up your account on this media service provider yet"Spotify works if I connect through the Spotify app.  Can anyone help?

Hey Smart People!I've just pre-ordered the ARC Ultra, which I'd like to use with two ERA300 in surround sound. My problem is that the video comes from a video-projector (Hisence C1) which is in the back, on the same wall as the ERA300s, 5 meters from the soundbar (and the screen) with no possibility of pulling an HDMI cable between the two.Is there a solution to make all this work in home-theatre mode? Ideally, I'd like to be able to enjoy Dolby Atmos, but at the very least, I'd like the surrounds to be active as surrounds, and not just speakers rocking the same stream as the ARC Ultra.

Hello. It seems like many on here, for some years I’ve been been happily playing Amazon Music on my 2 Sonos Ones and Era100. I could ask it to play a playlist, and it would continuously play till I asked it to stop. About 2-3 weeks ago it started playing a playlist but then stopped after the first track. Soon after that it stopped playing any music requested by Alexa. I can still request Alexa to do other things e.g. weather forecast, set thermostat, lights etc but as for music, nada.I’ve tried some of the useful advice I’ve found on here, e.g. re-authorizing Sonos to play Music etc, but am a bit nervous about wiping out the few features I still have if I de-install everything. At the moment it feels a bit like I have one expensive Bluetooth speaker and 2 paper weights! Any advice (preferably at idiot level!) would be much appreciated.Regards Steve

Hi CommunityI am using Beam which is connected vie ARC to my Sony Bravia VH21 (Google TV OS) and Google Home for my smart-home (both Sonos and the TV connected to Google Home).In the Google Home app, I can see two devices for Beam:Sonos Beam - works well.  Sonos Beam TV Control - it constantly appears as offline. In the past, it used to be in online status, which I could use to switch-on the TV (via ARC). I have been trying to fix this and search for articles about the problem but can’t find anything. Can anyone share advise on how use Beam and ARC connection in order to switch on the TV?Many thanks

Recently, Sonos plays but intermittently, missing many tracks.  I use the app on a Windows 11 PC. I’ve checked that my subscription to the streaming serve (Deezer) is up to date.  I have 2 Sonos Play 1s.Is there anything I should do before uninstalling and reinstalling the software, a tedious and not always successful process.

Many people told me about the SMB1 protocol when I specified from the beginning that I a using SMB2 only since more than 5 or 8 years now.Of course, both of them used to work very well before that. The known issue was coming from a Sonos update when they released their headset and I have seen that many, many people were very upset by that.One day, several weeks later, a new Sonos update made be re-abled to access to this library, but I had to delete, then recreate it.So, today, I have a room that works very well, the Sonos Connect plays all the music tracks I want… but not the other one.Both are on the same Wi-Fi router / network, but the one in the second room refuses to work and I get an ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED message when I try to play something locally from either Phonos or Sonos Controller or the Sonos Android App. It cannot acce

I have my Sonos Play:1 configured to play an alarm at 6:30 am every weekday. The alarm is set to shuffle a private playlist from Spotify. It worked fine for a few days, but now I can never get it to work, it always plays chime instead. Wondering, do Sonos swap my Sonos Arc to New Sonos Arc Ultra if  add extra money covering difference? or its only option to sell my one somewhere else, keeping in mind my one is in excellent condition inc. original package.
