Like many on here I have an issue with intermittent cutting out of Era 100.Purchased Beam & 2 Era 100 speakers for tv. Set up no issues, but when playing TV Era speakers intermittently drop sound. Assumed network so upgraded Sky to guaranteed high WiFi in every room including (new router)  (at a cost), no improvement, at times it drops all sound for several seconds. Spent half my life it seems in chat with Sonos to be told to sit in a queue to talk to someone despite going through every diagnostic with chat support. Stil no closer. Even replaced era speakers with existing play 1 speakers and same issue occurs. Rebooted everything, reconnected everything and feel £900 wasted so far. It’s almost u listenable. Works ok for music, Spotify etc, but for tv it’s intermittent drop out since installation. Sonos seem to know about issue but customers are not getting solution. So, anyone help as I feel left and abandoned with a system that I cannot listen to.

Hi. I currently have a playbar, sub mini and two one SL as surrounds. If I replace the playbar with a beam gen 2 would I get atmos ? Are the SL’s compatible with atmos setup ? Thanks for reading. 

I have a pair of powered bookshelp speakers (not connected to a reciever). Can I hook them up to a Port and stream using the Sonos app?

I have a Sonos Five stereo pair connected to a turntable via line-in, and one side (the one that is connected to the turntable) doesn’t work. The pair works fine for streaming (Spotify), but not line-in. I have tried disabling Wifi from the connected speaker (Right side) and connecting it via Ethernet,as per other discussions in this forum, and it still doesn’t work. At a loss here. I’ve paid a lot for this system and am very close to giving up and selling it and going wired.Please help!

My beam gen 2 is less than a year old and apart from initial connection issues at the start it has been working fine since. However I unplugged the beam to change the TV wall mount and since then it's not working at all. There are times it just starts working itself if left connected but then cuts out randomly or the remote stops working. I have tried disconnecting/reconnecting a number of times. Turning settings off and on again. Running the set up through the Sono app. None has worked. Running the set up on the app now says it can't locate the arc connection. It's 100% in the right hdmi port. I'm at loss of what to do next other than get rid of the bloody thing and buy a different one. My TV is LG C2, I'm using the hdmi cable provided with the beam. Any help will be massively appreciated please.

I've had The Frame (2019) TV [QE55LS03RAUXXC] for a couple of years now, and I'm planning to buy the Sonos Arc. Will these two work together? I've read a lot about connectivity issues (such as sound cuts) related to the HDMI eARC function on newer versions of The Frame. However, since my version only supports HDMI ARC (not eARC), will I still experience those sound issues? 

I have a Sonos One Gen 2 speaker. Worked fine since i got it Christmas 2022. We moved house recently and I cannot get it set up on the new WiFi.I have tried factory reset.I can get it to the point where it connects to the speaker by phone, plays the chime and then asks for the wifi password. it will not pass this point, its as if the password is incorrect.i have tried connecting directly to router via ethernet cable. no joy. I appreciate any help, thanks.

I cannot get my Roam and Pay:1 to group. When I try to group them it says “Unable to group, try again later”. What gives? I updated the Sonos app and the Spotify app. Both speakers are connected to my wifi. Very frustrating. This used to work. 

Hello, I have my old Playbase & one surrounds connected to my PC via optical cable to audio adapter. So optical cable from Playbase to adapter, then adapter connected to pc via USB. Everything was working great until updates last week. Windows 11 updated as did Sonos and now no sound from speakers. I contacted Sonos support and got this answer saying I basically screwed and it will no longer work. I’m new to this so thought I’d check here to see if people agree before bailing on my Sonos. I’m using curved monitor that does not have optical cable connection. I’ve tried to connect via wifi and my computer sees the Sonos but won’t play sound.  Any help would be appreciated  

I have been using TuneIn on the S1 app for years. Today it has stopped loading WUNC. I have tried to add/use Sonos Radio but it fails there too. I also tried to remove and re-add TuneIn, but that didn’t fix it. I tried another station that did work.What’s confusing is that I never created a TuneIn account. I assume that way back in the day, Sonos had some auto-Tunein-login agreement. I did sign up for TuneIn using GMail just now, but there’s no option to use those credentials in S1. When I re-add TuneIn, the S1 app just automatically does it without asking me for a username.BTW WUNC does work on the TuneIn browser page using me new account.It’s driving me crazy. Do I need to reboot something? It worked yesterday!

After the last update my optical connection with my video projector doesn’t work any more. The assistance says that the problem didn’t came from the update, but everything works fine until now. Very disappointed about the support and the fact we can not downgrade to solve a bug they made.

I have a beam2 and when I connect it to a Technics SL 1200 turntable with the optical to HDMI adapter through a pro-ject optical box E phono preamp, I can't hear anything. Is that configuration possible, or am I doing something wrong?

I’m a Sonos novice.Using a setup with three zones.  That part seems to be working fine.However, I’d like to add one non-standard setup through the HDMI AMP input (RCA already works for this setup, but 75ms latency is too long, so not an option).  I’ve seen the digital/HDMI input is supposed to be much lower latency.I want to be able to speak/sing into a microphone and have it amplified through that HDMI input.  Not loud, just maybe 70-75db range.  I connect a microphone to a Zoom U44.  Then I take its optical output, use the Sonos optical to HDMI converter (with an additional HDMI 2.1 cable) and go into the Sonos AMP.  Getting no sound, unfortunately.I believe the Zoom is outputting audio when trying this method because when I connect it’s digital output to an entirely different system it’s working fine.I know this idea may seem like more trouble than it’s worth, but would like to be able to test out and find out for myself if this can do what I’m hoping for.If you have additional idea

For three years I have successfully used an ensemble consisting of Beam and two Play1s to play back my PC sound. This is done via an external sound card (SPDIF) and a TOSLINK cable connected to it. A few days ago the sound stopped completely! I suspect a connection with the recent SONOS controller update, the second suspect is Microsoft. I spent a total of three full days trying to find a solution - in vain. My great frustration is mixed with despair.Here are some pieces of the puzzle from my search so far:It is a Windows 11 PC.A second Windows 11 PC shows the same failure.Sound signals are displayed graphically.Connecting an Android tablet to the TOSLINK cable: music plays!New external sound card does not help on both PCs.Does anyone have a brilliant idea?Here are some screenshots for illustration. 

For the past year or so I've been using my Beam gen 2 with my win11 laptop through an external 5.1 audio card that can output SPDIF (one of these cheap cards CMedia CM6206LX ). It had been working perfectly fine as a PC speaker for all PC audio. I had this set this up using this very helpful post.This was until today when I booted my laptop after a couple weeks away and the beam didn't even detect it. I'm not getting audio from my PC onto the beam. It's only when I use the Netflix app or the test the Dolby Digital signal in the control panel that I get a sound.Previously the app would show the source as SPDIF + Stereo PCM on most sounds and SPDIF + Dolby Digital 5.1 on Netflix. On stereo sounds, the app just shows SPDIF but no Stereo PCM and no sound.I've reinstalled the driver and windows and the issue still persists which leads me to belive this could be a firmware issue. I also tested this on my Ray and still got no sound.Any potential ideas for a fix or anyone facing something simi

I’ve had a Sonos Beam for several years, hooked up to a system to allow me to play output from my computer. This required a bit of tinkering to get right! I had to:Buy a device that converts USB → SPDIF Get a SPDIF → HDMI converter Connect all that up so that I had USB → SPDIF → HDMI → HDMI into the BeamSince getting that sorted it has worked great! Until yesterday, when suddenly I could no longer get any audio through this setup :(. In all other respects the Beam works fine - I can connect to it through the app and play audio that way, and it correctly makes noises when I press the buttons.Things I’ve tried to fix the problem:Unplug and replug all of the various connections Reboot computer Reboot Beam Fiddle around with the audio output settings from my computer (as far as I can tell they are all fine) Rotate the HDMI-HDMI cableI’m pretty sure that everything is fine as far as the USB->SPDIF converter, because you don’t have an optical cable plugged in you can see the red light tha

Hi, I was using Sonos Ray as computer speakers via soundcard with digital optical output. Everything worked fine until few days ago when Ray no more sees the digital input. The app TV Setup says No signal detected. The digital input works otherwise OK with another device instead Ray.I have spent almost entire day on the Sonos help line, but in the end they told me they never intended Ray to be used with PC and that it is my problem I bought it and that maybe they changed something so now it doesnt work. This is actually not true, they mention usage with PC on their website: “For a next-level gaming setup, connect your PC.” on https://www.sonos.com/en/shop/ray. Do you have any ideas how to possibly fix this without the Sonos helpline help?What I tried already: - factory reset the Ray - connect the optical cable to another device - it works - reinstall sound card - play music on ray through wifi - it works - play test sound from the sound output properties in windows - only Dolby Digital

My SONOS app has defaulted to SPDIF for the audio output from my iMac - it used to be PCM - Stereo - the result is that it no longer works on my Playbar…. HELP

I have my Playbar connected through its optical connector to an analog/digital converter which connects via Bluetooth or the headphone jack of my iMac. Both of the latter connections used to work in that sound was channelled through the Playbar with the Sonos App on my iPhone showing the output as ‘PCM Stereo’. However, recently it has stopped working with the Sonos App showing the output as SPDIF. Even when I disconnect the optical connection to the Playbar the Sonos App still declaims ‘SPDIF’. I want to return my set up to working order. Any help much appreciated.

HelloYesterday I reset my router and at first only the Sub mini lost connection. Soon after some minutes the whole entertainment section was not connected. After spending 2 hours I reset and rebooted everything  multiple times. I was able to reconnect everything.However I am still not able to add the Surrounds “there was a problem adding your surrounds” I have tried all the recommendations so far nothing has worked,

For a long while music library sharing has been a problem.   I have just downloaded and installed the latest update but am still unable to  get access to my library.   Should this still be the case or am I going about it rh wrong way?

Hi,i did a reset on my router and now my two gen 1 speakers are showing offline and i cannot reconnect them or find my system on the sonos app?

Why is the ray soundbar so low in volume? How is this a soundbar when my TV gets louder than this I’m so disappointed! Do I need to buy additional speakers or is it even worth it? Should I just send it back and buy something else???
