Hey!

Used to be able to link both One and Roam (in different rooms). All I get now is an error message. What's the dealio?

"Unable to connect. Try again later"

I did.

It didn't.

Reconnected both to the network. Updated all updates! Pressed the 'play' button to link the 'off' one to the 'on' one - no joy.

Any off you Sonos heads out there got an answer? Be a shame to bin 'em off as they're cool bits of kit.

Thanks!

Just to clarify, are you ‘grouping’/‘ungrouping’ the two ‘rooms’ together in the way described in the link below?…

Try a refresh, sometimes it helps.

Power down all Sonos reboot the router and controller then power up the Sonos.

Check again for updates o ce that is done.

The OP is pressing the Play/Pause button to Group” either the Roam or One to speaker that is playing. However there are two ways to make the Grouping occur:

  1. Both the Roam and One are connected to the network and one of the two is playing; then pressing Play/Pause on the silent speaker will Group both together.
  2. The Roam is in BT mode. The music must be started on the Roam first and the Play/Pause button pressed on the One to Group them together. The Roam serves as the “gateway” to bring BT streamed music to the One.
