Hi, Bought a brand new Sonos Move, and since using it, there is random static that occurs often throughout songs. I read that it may be interference from other products nearby, but this is not the case. I can take it near no other products and it still occurs.I’ve submitted diagnostics number: 2072736789Please help find what is wrong.
Hi just bought a Sonos Move and have found constant interference when streaming YouTube from TV paired with Playbar. On its own with YouTube, and other music streaming it’s fine, wifi and router are working perfectly. Can anyone help.
Hello,I have a sonos system in my house.Recently I bought the Sonos Roam and it just stoped working. The orange light starts blinking (while it’s not connected to the power source) and when I connect the USB port, it became “fixed orange”. There’s nothing that I can do change this status. I just can’t reboot or make anything else because it’s like it “freezed”. I search on support page and there wasn’t any value information regarding this issue. I already made the devolution of the first Roam I bought, and now I have the same problem, 3 days after! What can I do more? does this happened to anyone else? Any ideas? Please help me. Thank you Luis Sousa
Hi AllStruggled to find the answer from other threads so thought I would ask the question here. I will get to the point. I have a mixture of new and old Sonos equipment and to do this day continue to use the S1 app as I am not ready to let go of my Play 5 gen1. I have a Play 1, Sonos one and PlayBar. All devices work great on S1. I am looking to purchase either 2 roams or 1 move but as these are new devices I am guessing they only work on S2. Is there any way I can continue to use these products on S1? I qualify for the 30% discount because of the Play 5 however I don’t intend to return it but still want to use the discount to get either the roam 2x package or the 1 move. Will I still be able to do this, I am under no obligation to return the old device to get the discount am I?Many Thanks
I turned the device fully off (5 sec. turn off) and put it next to my bed. I noticed the bottom light to be illuminated very slightly in red. It’s not charging or anything. I just turned the roam off by pressing the button for 5 sec. and there seems to be a constant release of light. Is this only my unit or what’s going on? Off should be of and not little red light shines that you can almost not see it. It’s not the same elimination as if the battery is down. It’s like 2% of this elimination power. Thanks for help & feedback
I had an odd issue with my Roam whilst on holiday recently.I took the Roam with me for hotel room entertainment in case our holiday was a washout. The first night all was fine. I was able to use the Roam via Bluetooth in the hotel room- no problem. Functioned as expected.I plugged the Roam in to charge overnight, and that's where the issue began. The next morning I could not get my phone or my partners' phone to find the Roam on Bluetooth. I probably spent an hour wrestling with it that morning and later again in the afternoon. The phones just would not find the Roam on a scan.Eventually out of frustration, I connected the Roam to the hotel's free wi-fi and reconnected my Sonos S2 App to the hotel WiFi. After that, I was able to connect to the Roam just fine. But now I will have to reprogram all my other Sonos speakers (I have a lot of them) when I get home. More than a bit annoying!I can't fathom why this happened but I assume the Roam must have automatically linked itself to the hote
I have been grappling with using a Roam on my system. I keep the Roam down in my garage and either use outside while gardening or while working out. However, any access to my Sonos network turns on the roam and eventually drains the battery (as I discover when I next go to use it). The one solution that I thought of is to create separate Sonos network with just the Roam on it BUT S2 provides no way (it seems) to remove from my existing network. Help? Suggestions?
Have no problems updating and using all other Sonos products. Got a new Roam today and it needs to install updates before it can be used. Tried multiple times. Takes forever and then comes back with Error 30. Tried all things suggested on Sonos website and forum. And ideas?
Hi everyone, I have an issue when I try to use Airplay with my MacBook Pro from late 2020. I try to airplay my music or anything from my Mac to my Sonos Roam and it’s not working. I have the Airplay logo for doing it but there isn’t a single sound from my Sonos Roam and I can see that the music or the video is playing on my Mac. When I use my iPhone there is no problem, the Airplay is working but not with my Mac, the connection failed. Thanks by advance for your answers.Good day :)

So my Roam all of a sudden became unresponsive. the white light on the top is permanently on and same with the orange light at the bottom. I have tried fully charging and fully draining the battery out but it did not help. Charging - When I put it on charging, the white light stays on and the orange light at the bottom also stays on. I leave it for hours and come back assuming it’s fully charged but the lights remain the same. I remove from charging and try to connect, it does not show up anywhere. I try to turn off from the power button, no response. the only thing that happens when I keep the power button pressed is that the white light blinks once after few seconds and come back on permanently. same with the Orange light. Draining the battery - I left it overnight and in the morning all lights were off. I tried turning on with power button and no response which is expected so far. Now I plug into the charger, the white and orange light immediately turn on and stay constant through
I’ve had the Roam for a week now and this has happened three time - the four top controls (play/pause, volume up & down, mic on/off) all don’t do anything after the device comes out of standby. No action, no LED changes, no audio cues indicating recognition of the press. All devices and controllers are up to date. Play/pause, volume, mic on/off all respond via the app. I’ve repeatedly checked the settings to verify that the control setting (System → device → Touch Controls) is enabled. When in the failed state, toggling the Touch Controls or Status Light settings does nothing. When the unit is working properly, those settings take effect immediately. The device has been at 50%+ battery charge. A full reset (which requires using the play/pause button) after the first occurrence did not fix the problem - it cleared on its own overnight while connected to a USB charger. I left it on the wireless charger overnight during the second occurrence, it was still unresponsive the next day. C
Hi all,My ipad and iphone were able to connect without any issues via blue tooth to my Roam. However, my mac seem not to be able to detect the Roam at all. Any fix for that?Already tried rebooting the system on both Roam and my mac (I got two Roams) and none of these worked. Thanks
Just set up the Roam. Sounds great but a few minutes after I turn it off it comes back on. Has done this several times. Any ideas?
We have a lot of Sonos products, and we have been using Sonos since we bought the first gen Play:5 many years ago. We are really fond of Sonos. Recently we bought a Sonos Roam, and this little box is a real challenge.First it would not connect at all. We ran the usual setup, but after the setup the Roam did not appear anywhere and it just didn’t work at all. We tried all the usual things; turning off and on, resetting, adding again, and more. In the end we called customer service, and after a lot of debugging they found out that something had happened when the Roam was updated. It had not been added correctly to our Sonos account or something strange. The CS representative did some magic, and after a new reset, we were able to set up the Roam from the start again. Everything seemed ok.I left the Roam to charge a little bit, and I moved it to the room it was going to be placed. I wanted to play some music, but again the Roam was gone from the Sonos app. I check my Macbook, but nothing t
I live in a dorm with a shared wifi requiring me to put in both wifi login name and password.Tried to connect Sonos Roam to the Wifi network (the app only asked to put in a password, no place to put in a wifi login name) and it did not work. Please give an advice.
I’ve replaced a Play One so I can link TV sound (mainly in kitchen) and have more flexibility (carry to other rooms). I had no trouble with the Play One, holding down Play/Pause would pick up TV sound from beam. If I’ve recently streamed music on Roam, what sometimes happens is when I press Play/Pause the music source is transferred to the Beam and I totally lose a) TV sound and b) control of TV sound. The only way to regain control is to a) turn off music source from all devices and b) turn TV off and on again. This is not acceptable especially because it means I’ve missed important information eg the start of an Australian COVID press conference (most of Australia is currently back in lockdown).
I got 2 sonos one and love them and then made the mistake of getting sonos roam. Only trouble. Besides it being a very poor travel speaker with a s***** user experience, that i couldn't connect to my hotel's wifi and then couldn't set on bluetooth. Now I'm back home and it's disconnected from my network, to reconnect it i need to turn it off but its stuck with the flashing orange light mode. I tried pressing that back button for 12 seconds, pause and 2 more, as recommended by another post with the same issue, but it hasn't worked.. I will likely try to return this because oura been a pain on all levels. Super disappointed!
Has anyone successfully paired a Sonos Roam with the Audio-Technica AT-LP120x Bluetooth enabled turntable? How did it work? How does it sound? And is there any delay? Thank you in advance.
Hello everyone. I’m having an issue with my Sonos Roam. Since yesterday, the Roam is no longer charging when put on its own - original - wireless charger, with the original Sonos plug. There are no leds turning on. I tried with a USB-C cable and, in this case, I can see the solid orange led that indicates the battery is charging. The problem is that the led stays solid orange forever. I can’t turn the Roam on, no way to do it. If I plug off the cable, it turns off, but there’s no way to turn on the speaker itself again.I never see flashing orange light, neither white one. Only solid orange when the speaker is plugged in with the USB-C cable. I really don’t know what to do, do you have an idea?
Can I play my TV sound through Beam and Roam simultaneously? I have Beam connected to my Samsung Smart TV via optical cable, and would like to also connect my Roam so that I can hear the game remotely (in the backyard, which does have WiFi coverage). Any suggestions?
Played fine, then just lost network connection. Can get it to do anything. Won’t turn off, can’t do a factory reset. Nothing.
I’ve been very interested with the comments on the Roam speaker, my son bought this for my birthday to add to my sonus system, which I love. However this was specifically bought as an add on for the garden. Charged the roam, had friends around for a bbq & the roam battery was drained although I’d put it away fully charged. It appears that when I open the sonus app the roam comes on although it’s in a cupboard ready and waiting for the next time I want to take it outside. I find this really annoying & a very bad fault, is there anyway you can turn it off and it remains off until you require it? I’ve tried the 5 seconds switch off which works but then the roam wakes up the minute I open the sonus app . 🤔
Hi, I recently bought the Roam and set up on my home network with no issues. Very pleased with it I might add although could do with a bit more bass. Now we are away and I linked my phone to the Roam via Bluetooth and again no issues. However one of the kids wanted to link their phone which again was successful. However when I wanted my phone linked back to the Roam it couldn't find my phone. I have tried everything and pressed so many different buttons and combinations of inthink I have factory reset it and can't seem to do anything with it? I guess I have to set up on hone network again and basically start over? Bit frustrating to say the least. I also have a Winderboom speaker I use in my gym at home and have never had issues with connecting a different devices to it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Just got my hands on the new Roam today and can’t get it to charge. its plugged in with cable provided, solid orange light on the front of it and can see it’s charging on the app but it’s stuck at 20% all day now. Won’t charge up. any ideas what to do here, very frustrated with this problem. thanks in advance for any advice. Edit, light is slowly flashing orange it was only solid orange when speak on but problem remains the same.
