Can I connect 8 roam speakers together via bluetooth or can it only be done via wifi

Wifi only, as a group.
Just to add: you need all 8 speakers on the same wifi network. You can stream a different source to each of the 8 speakers, or you can dynamically Group any or all of them to have the same stream sent to that group. When grouped, the music will be in sync at all speakers in the group.
