The Move connects to everything else fine. The Monster adapter sees the other bluetooth discoverable devices around it just fine. It cannot see the Move. It’s sitting right next to the move, in pairing mode. Here are the specs on the Monster adapter. Providing this so someone can confirm they aren’t compatible, but also hopefully this will show up in the Google results so someone else doesn’t waste their time with the Monster adapter. P.S. the adapter works great with other bluetooth speakers, just not the Move. I often listen to podcasts and audiobooks through my Roam, however when i disconnect from the Roam the progress of what I’m listening to resets back to the beginning.I also have a couple of Sonos One speakers and a Soundbar on the same network however there is no issue with them.Is there anything i can do to fix this issue? thanksHarry
Say, I want to use ROAM at a golf course away from my Sonos system. The following steps did not work:Charge ROAM Set up ROAM on my SONOS network Switch to Bluetooth pairing by holding down power for 2 seconds Pair the ROAM with my iPhone using Bluetooth Test the connection Turn off the speaker by holding down power for 5 seconds Turn on the speaker at the golf courseWhen I completed Step 7, the light was blinking white (I think because it was searching for wifi, which was 50 miles away) and refused to switch to Bluetooth via a two second press of the power button.Help?
I can’t seem to get Sonos working consistently. After playing around with it for an hour or so each time, I can SOMETIMES get my Sonos Roam connected to my iPad. So frustrating and all the explanations on how to make it work are mind boggling. Does anyone have simple (underline simple) instructions on how to get them to work? Otherwise I’m shipping them back to Sonos collect and they can bin them!
I cannot use Bluetooth without connecting via WiFi and the app.For instance I go to Spotify, It doesn't appear in usable speakers, it only shows up in Spotify when I open the Sonos app, which obviously only works with WiFi and select a song to play.I can search for it via my Bluetooth connection on my phone (android) and it's listed as the Bluetooth address, not the name. If I select it from the list I just get a message saying an app is required to use it.It has only worked once and is now unusable as a portable speaker, what on earth is going wrong.
I own a Sonos Move and have just purchased a Sonos Amp. I do not have any passive speakers setup with the Amp and these are the only 2 Sonos devices I have. I have the Sonos Amp successfully connected to my TV via HDMI ARC and I want to listen to the audio through the Move. As I understand, I need to group the devices but on the Sonos App, “Groups” is greyed out and says “This feature is available on systems with three or more rooms”. How do I get the TV audio to come out the Move in this setup?
I’d like to be able to have the MOVE permanently on the second floor of my house. The receiver is on an upper floor and I want to keep it there. I have only a turntable connected to the Onkyo. Will I be able to connect via Bluetooth or WiFi to the speaker? (The Onkyo has WiFi and Bluetooth capability). I didn’t find an answer to this question specifically in the Support and I apologize if I’m missing it. If I can’t connect in this scenario, what do I need to do? Thanks!
My roam stopped being connected to the wifi two days ago. I could connect via bluetooth fine. I checked it was all on same network etc and just couldn't work it out.Today I have done a factory reset so its flashing green. I have the roam as a device on my sonos s2 app but i cant seem to connect the two.App says searching foi nearby products and to make sure powered on but just doesnt find it.Help please. What am i doing wrong?
When i try to configure my brand new sonos roam sl with sonos s2 the app on xiaomi 11t pro, crashes or just wont connect to the device, how i can use my brand new 170€ speaker ?have a solution ?(i cant try with another phone)
I’ve had my pair of Sonos Moves for a couple of years and have always had them configured as a stereo pair. It used to be that I could take one away and use it in Bluetooth mode, bring it back home, put it back in WiFi mode and the stereo pair would automatically come back.Recently, like in the last 3-6 months, have noticed that I almost always have to manually re-establish the stereo pair. It only takes a minute, but is annoying. Is anyone else having this same issue?
I have two Sonos Moves (not stereo pair). Originally named PatioSonos and GarageSonos. After some issues (notably with Apple Music). I decided to start again; I reset both Moves, reset the apps and went through the transfer ownership routine. Then set up again this time with names Patio and Garage. One or other Sonos app (using iPad and Mac) changes BOTH names to PatioSonos. Changing them to Patio and Garage again only lasts a few minutes.Changing one would be annoying but livable with; changing both is not just poor QA on the Sonos software but makes using awkward (as a minimum, I have to test play to determine which is which!).Any ideas/suggestions to really reset to factory settings appreciated...
I have just bought a Roam (not realising initially it required S2). I have an S1 system with a mixture of S1 and S2 compatible products. I want to leave that as it is and set up a separate S2 system with just the Roam. Is there a simple way of doing this?
Hi everyoneMy iPad app and all my Sonos devices were automatically updated to 14.12. And then, I cannot see my Roam any more…My iPhone app was still on 14.10, and the Roam was still visible (that is how I checked the Roam firmware version). When I upgraded the iPhone app to 14.12, the Roam vanished. I asked to the app to discover new products, but nothing happened. The Roam is still visible, and working, through Airplay.Does anyone has the same situation ?
Hi - Have a Sonos Move which is running off a router in the house. I take the Move outside (whilst its playing) just about to put it on the Sonos speaker hook and it gets interference from a second router we have in the garage (to run security cameras etc.). Nothing then works and have to uninstall Alexa and reinstall. Any clues? Many thanks.
I’ve had my Move for several years, no problems. In the past 4 months or so, constant issues - Sonos doesn’t see the Move, or the Move is there but won’t play, very intermittent. What’s frustrating is it doesn’t show the Move at all, but then when I power it off, it shows Sonos Move Offline… so it knows it’s a device and connected, but won’t appear for playback when powered on. Any suggestions on what to do when it’s not in the list of devices, or how to fix permanently?
Hi Everyone,I have a Sonos Move product that I often move around off the charging base. I’ve found that if I take it off a charger, stop playing media for 45min to an hour, maybe more, when I go back into the app on my phone OR attempt to play music through the Sonos app on my computer, the app will show the music being played but the device doesn’t play. Further, full comms seem to be there with the Sonos unit as I can view the device battery, make changes, etc. I reached out through social and was connected to Sonos’ external marketing team, then my message was passed to someone in Product, but I have not heard anything further. I’ve uploaded a quick video I was going to share with the product team, but never heard back. Here’s a link to the unlisted YT video (Sorry for sounding congested, finally caught the ‘Vid).Any help insights would be appreciated.
I have recreated this closed topic as I have exactly the same issue as was so clearly described by other users.Audible intermittently stops after playing for a few minutes. “Alexa resume” restarts it usually a minute or two before it stopped. Alexa work fine otherwise and audible on other devices works fine. Its just the combination of Audible and Alexa on my Roam that has the problem.Definitely not WiFi issueSonos - Please investigate this which is clearly a bug of some sort
I have a pair of Sonos Roams I have set up in my home. These are plugged in by default and I intend to use them stationary. As such I don't want them to sleep or enter standby when not in use. Both speakers have very good wifi signal, on channel 11, both have static IPs assigned to them and they are not close to any obstacle or in proximity to a wifi splitter or wifi extender. The channels used by the speakers are also not in conflict with any other signals in or outside my home. Very frequently I will find that one of the two is not available on the Sonos app, google voice assistant will inform me there's no wifi and a quick reset will have them up and running again. I was hoping to avoid this frequent daily reset can I do anything on my end to get this issue solved? Here are a few screenshots taken before and after resting. Can I provide any diagnostics info?
Hi all, let me quickly explain. I use an MacMini M1 and installed Apple Music to stream to my 2 SONOS Move’s. The speakers show up on Apple Music as expected but I am not able to get any sound out of them. The connection is getting dropped. (all devices are on the same network)If I restart the Mac, it works from beginning without any issue but in case I leave the desk vor 20 minutes and stopped the music before, the same issues as mentioned before occurs. No sound. After a quick restart it works again. No idea what I can do about that.
It’s like I have two alpha speakers - 5 (Kitchen) and Roam (Bathroom).Trying to group one with the other each way results in a group with no sound on the “grouped” speaker. When I group either or both from a pair of 1s (Living Room), a single 1 (Office), or a Playbase (Bedroom), I have no issue with audio in the pairing. When I pair either 5 (Kitchen) or Roam (Bathroom) from these three compliant speakers there’s no issue. Not sure when this started but I’m blaming the Lo Pocos Hermanos man since I activated Sonos Voice recently. Any ideas?
I have very similar sentiment as this post; however, the post was not able to be commented on so that is weird. I was really excited to receive the roam to extend my music to the other rooms - but am as much more disappointed of its functionality. It doesn’t keep the charging - turns on and off without instruction and is hard to get connected when needed. Quite annoying and demotivating for such an investment - knowing there are other and cheaper loudspeaker systems. As much as I am impressed by the beam the roam is a flop ... https://en.community.sonos.com/wireless-speakers-228992/roam-6858306I was on the waitlist to get my Roam when they were first released and was really excited when it came; but since then I have had so many frustrations with it. All other gripes aside (i.e. not being compatible with my wireless charger, the battery constantly dying even when I turn it off, sometimes turns on without instruction or connection) my biggest complaint is 1) How difficult my Roam is to
I’m a bit frustrated once again with Sonos. The setting up process for nearly every device is completely annoying. Well, the Sonos “ROAM” is the worst one yet. I bought this product for nearly $200 on the road hoping to have great sound while in my hotel room… which will be another two weeks. Got back to the hotel and come to find I CAN’T use this Bluetooth out the box. Sonos wants you to hook it up to your “private” network AT HOME. I’m not at home. I SHOULD be able to use this out of the box with blue tooth connection. It a total scam to advertise the way you do. The box should say - “can be bluetooth once connected to your home network”. I then would have saved my money. This type of run around is SO unnecessary. I’m once again SUPER frustrated at the companies policy to use what I should clearly own. The reality is, I don’t own this product until I connect back home 2,000 miles away. Any help here?
Do you need wifi to connect phone to roam via Bluetooth? I won a Sonos speaker but I don't have wifi at home. I can't get roam to enter Bluetooth mode. I can't set up the app because I don't have wifi. Does this mean you couldn't use the speaker if you are away from wifi, like out on a boat or camping?
Have installed a new BT Smart Hub 2 today and all devices (Sonos, iPhone, tablet, TVs) connect/play except for the Move, still says offline in the app and cannot get it to add…any suggestions please?
So I have a Beam, stereo pair One SLs with sub, Five, and a Roam. All in separate rooms. I have always used Airplay 2 via my Macbook using Apple music to send to my speakers. By swiping all the buttons on most of the speakers I can control the Airplay skipping tracks. I can also use the new Sonos Voice control to say “Hey Sonos, Skip” I also can pause or restart the music from the buttons. Airplay still works just fine. Sending to all the speakers. I can group and everything. Suddenly, I cannot control skip at all from my speakers. When I slide over all three buttons it gives the prompt sounds as though it skips, but it does not change tracks. When I say “Hey Sonos, skip” it gives me the sound effect prompt as though it skipped, but does NOT skip. The odd thing is that everything else works. I can ask “What song is playing?” And it will correctly tell me. The album art pops up on the app and everything works to lower volume. But I cannot skip. It does not allow me to skip
