Sonos Roam has a Wifi power save option, by default switched on.

If switched off, what is the impact, apart from consuming more power? Better wifi reach? wifi more responsive?

any insights?

It is mentioned in this support article that the feature saves power when the Roam is connected to WiFi, extending its battery life…

However I’ve not seen anything on how much the battery is extended, but I’m all for making the Roam battery last longer.

Yes, but since it is implemented as an option...there must be some reasons to switch it off.

It’s probably in case it needs to be disabled for compatibility reasons with certain routers.
