I have 2 Sono Move speakers. One in the kitchen and one in my room. In the last few days I have noticed that in the Airplay menu on my iPhone / iPad only one would show up and rarely both. Both speakers however show up to be connected in the Sonos app. I would have to shut the missing speaker down (long press the power button) and turn it back on to have it showing on Airplay. I’ve not changed anything with my home internet network. Anyone has the same problem?
I have just received a Sonos roam for Christmas I have connected it to my wifi and it plays music from the various radio options I want to play music from my IpadI put it in discoverable mode and the I pad found it using Bluetooth in settings and shows that it is connectedI go to Spotify on my IPad and select a tune but nothing happens the little up and down bars show that it is playingHowever I now see a small logo at the bottom of my screen that says AIRPLAYI select this and and I get a logo called airplay or blue toothI select this and a screen comes up showing the devices I can play from one is iPAD and the other under the heading of speakers and tvs is Sonos roamIf I click on IPad the music starts coming from the iPad speakerif I click on Sonos roam nothing is heard despite the little bars going up and down and the play line moving along and when it gets to the end the next song on the list is displayed but I never hear anything I have tried to turn up the speaker using the contro
Roam seems dead. It has no lights and holding power does not work nor will a hard reset. I have tried multiple charges, ensuring they had adequate power. When I take it off the charger, it flashes an amber light, once, and that is all that happens (no sound). It is not found in the Sonos app. Relatively unused and in good condition otherwise. Is it dead? Anything else that can be tested to bring it back to life?
Is it possible to connect to a move thru bluetooth without setting up a wifi network? I am a college student on campus and we have a wap2 network with a username and password which is not supported by sonos. I want to just connect to my device through bluetooth but it is not working
I want to do something as simple as use a recently purchased Sonos Roam as a speaker for an Amazon Dot for my wife who has poor sight. I just want to connect to to Alexa via Bluetooth and then automatically play whatever Alexa is playing with no further speech or manual intervention . Is this possible, or have I bought something that is significantly over-specified? Johm
Igot my new Roam today and cannot get it to connect using the awful Sonos 2 app. The instructions state that when I turn the Roam on it should chime, and when selecting the bluetooth function it should chime twice. Mine does nothing depite turn up the volume. I does not even chime when it is turned off. Do you think the item is faulty, and thus causing the problems to connect?
I am beyond frustrated! I own a spa, I have 18 Roam speakers in each room and throughout our spa. As others say when they work great they are great, when they decide they don’t want to work it is an absolute nightmare. I can’t even begin to tell you the amount of times I have called support for help and it’s a run around about my wifi yet every other device works perfectly fine. All speakers were working perfectly fine this morning, half way through 6 out of the 18 disconnect. I called support, they helped me reconnect, within 20 mins they stopped playing again. The same steps she walked me through is now giving me error codes. It is maddening!!! My phones wifi was strong and yet the app still didn’t allow me to connect to certain speakers. The interface of the app to fix the issue needs to be more user friendly. Having to individually re-set/ re-connect/ update is insane when you are trying to simultaneously run a business. Why the PC version won’t let you connect and manage your de
My Sonos Roam will not work. When plugged in with USB-C, the orange light comes on and stays on but cannot operate the Roam. When unplugged, no lights, cannot turn on at all. Can anybody help me??!
I have a Sonos Roam SL. For some reason, it fails to connect to my Wifi. When I switch it on, it just flashes the orange light forever. I tried fixing the connection with the Sonos app, but it tells me to switch the device off and then back on. The problem is, it won't switch off: The advice is to press the power button for 5+ seconds, but nothing happens even if I press it for 20 seconds. At some point, the orange light sort of burns evenly for a couple of seconds, but then it just starts flashing again. What's happening here? The device basically isn't responding to anything I do.
HiI received a roam speaker for Christmas and set it up in the relatives home I was staying in. I am now home and can’t connect to our home system. I’m trying to reset it by holding the play/pause button while pressing the power button on and off but nothing is happening (i.e flashing orange and white light changing to green).
I have iPhone S2 app move speaker that I want to use on the porch. it plays but goes offline in my app so I can’t control it. if I turn off and on again it will show up in the app but goes offline after a little while but plays so WiFi connection is there. anyone know what to do?
Hi,I struggle to set up a stereo pair of two Sonos Roams. The issues is that both Roams connect individually, but fail to be displayed in the app at the same time. If both speakers are on, the app shows the speaker that was turned on first. If I turn off one speaker, the app finds the other one. Sometimes if connect one speaker via Bluetooth, I manage to see them both in the system settings. However, this doesn’t allow me to create a stereo pair.Has someone an idea what I’m doing wrong? Thank you for the support!Niklas
Moderator edit:Google Translate- hello, for some time I can no longer connect to my sonos move.I am on android, samsung S20, box sfr.I uninstalled the sonos app after clearing cache and clearing data. I have two Roam speakers. Both are on magnetic wireless chargers. I have been using them since first released. I noticed recently that one of my Roam is showing 96% charged and temperature is “hot” and has not been charging to 100% for the last couple of weeks.Any idea why this is?Other information - I am living in a country with 220V power although I have had no issues with mag-safe charging to date. The tech spec for the SONOS wireless charging pad is rated 110V-240V so I do not think that is the issue… and the other charger seems to be working without any problem.
Hello,My Sonos Move has stopped working since I changed freebox routers. (N and AC standard). There is no G available. It shows me a problem as soon as I enter the wifi key. Before, all steps are detected.
I would love to mount my Sonos Moves to the ceiling of my covered porch, about 1.5 feet in from the edge. I’m pretty confident it would not get wet or sun exposure. It might get a light freeze (27 degrees) on occasion. I see the Sonos Move Charging Base is designed for indoor use only. Is this protected exterior application safe to use the charging base? Would it be any better/safer to use PD Charger and USB-C cord? Would a light freeze harm the speaker?
H all…i have had a sonos roam as part of my system for 2 years now, and suddenly it is no longer connecting to my system. I have gone through all the steps to get it set up, and it keeps ending with the same result, not able to connect at this time. There are no app updates to do and i have rebooted my modem several times. All my other speakers and subs are working just fine. Thoughts? Tips? Thanks so much!
How long is the current sale running for?
So I have a Sonos Arc 1 w/Sonos one SLs, Sonos Roam, and on Sonos SL in another room. Now I would like to add my Sonos Move to HomeKit. In HomeKit when I try to add it I get two messages. 1st - AirPay, Unable to connect to “Move”. 2nd - Unable to Add Accessory. Make sure your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi, then try pairing again. If I go to Control Center I can choose the Move to play and it does so it must be setup in AirPlay already. I’m confused when three of my devices are connected and one won’t.
Hello, I plane to buy a “sonos move” to use as a bluetooth device and as a multiroom device.I have soon two sonos play:1Do you think it is possible to add the sonos move to my two sonos play:1 ?Are these devices compatible ?Is it easy to do ?Thank you
Question: Why does the microphone light on my Sonos Move sometimes come on all by itself (and then go off again) when the device is powered off? Surely if the device is switched off, it should be OFF! The device is setup with the microphone on so that Auto Trueplay can work but no voice assistant is set up or enabled. This seems pretty suspect to me!! Eavesdropping?! Attached is a photo showing the device powered off yet the microphone light on. Shortly after taking the photo, without touching the device, the microphone light went out. This is not the first time I have witnessed this behaviour…. Any suggestions / explanations? Many thanks in advance!
I have since a month a sonos move. Its my 2nd one. The first one works ok. Thos new one doesn’t charge at all. No lights are burning nothing. It worked for a month a now it stopped. Reset doesnt work, reconnect doesnt. Nothing works. Unfortunately my 1st sonos move is 650 km away from where I am, so I cant verify what the faulty element is, the charging base or the Sonos. What to do now?
Sonos should make portable speaker with LED lights matching with the song with subwoofer
Hi there! I have a special situation: I am an exchange student and this week bought a Sonos Roam for in my room. I had assumed it would be no problem to connect to the wifi here in my university dormitory here, because every room got their own small router. But, as it turns out, it does not work. I always get stuck at the step where my Roam has been installed on the network, but that I have to restart my Roam so that it will become visible in Systems in the Sonos app. It never appears though, whatever troubleshooting steps I go through and however long Sonos is searching for the Roam.Eventually, I installed my Sonos on the network of the hotspot of my laptop (for which my laptop just uses the room wifi of course). So the problem should not be with my Sonos or my phone, I would say, but only with the router. Does anyone have any clue why that would be? It is just a regular router satisfying Sonos’s requirements, with just a long network name and a long password. This is the model by the
Can any Roam SL owners tell me if device plays a sound when you power on and off? I have a Wonderboom and it makes a loud sound when it powers on or off which can be intrusive eg. for a meditation class. Thanks!
