I don’t remember my exact setup, but from my troubleshooting I think this will help some users.Setup is: Samsung A95 TV, AppleTV 4K, Arc, Sub mini, 2x One SL (rear).I had problems with 5.1 sound from Netflix, HBO, etc. when the soundtrack was 5.1. Strangely enough when sound was Atmos everything worked fine.I have done much of the troubleshooting tips, removing surround speakers, disconnect Arc, reset system (speakers), reconnect everything. Configure ntwork. Reset settings on TV. Reconnecting everything in a specific order, new HDMI cables. The lot.In the end, my solution was simple.Solution:Make sure your TV is set to eArc and PassThru for the HDMI to Arc - This is the correct setting. On the AppleTV:When watching something with 5.1 sound:Settings → Video and Sound → Format: Set this to Dolby Digital 5.1When watching something with Atmos:Settings → Video and Sound → Format: Set to Atmos(I have norwegian language, so path might not be correct!)This will hopefully remove the stuttering/

I was stumped today, iOS updated to 15.7.1, and trying a system update to 15.7 from 15.6.I got an update error, more details showed an error 30 on the Sub, tried again, failed.Restarted Arc and Sub, failed again, then iOS was showing status ‘updating’ with blue icon, now stuck updating. light was off on Sub, ie not flashing as does normally when updating.Opened Sonos Desktop App, about my system, all on 15.7 apart from Sub on 15.6. I assume Network OK, as I could ping all Sonos devices with  sub 5ms response, also able to access Network Matrix on Sub and Arc. App said there was an update, tried again failed.Time to call Sonos support, so they could investigate diagnostic 😀They suggested cause was a network issue, as is normally the case for any Sonos issue.I wasn’t so sure, as I could ping all Sonos devices with latency <5ms, they have reserved IP addresses.I managed to get the update installed eventually, involved restarting Arc + Sub several times, then disconnecting and reconnec

Purchased 75” Samsung Tv and new Sonos Arc. Geek Squad set up.  Not getting Dolby Atmos to work. Spent many hours on phone with Sonos to be told system working fine. Spent just as many hours with Samsung.  When Arc is connected through E-Arc the Dolby Atmos on the TV comes up as function not available.  When we disconnect the E Arc cable and unplug the Sonos the function is available on Samsung. Each company blames the other.  What are we doing wrong and which company is responsible?

When watching CNN, the volume seems to peak at the beginning of someone speaking, for a second or two, then come down and level out.  I only hear this on CNN or at least it is most noticeable on that channel.  My settings pretty much mirror Peter Pee’s suggested for Arc + Gen3 Sub + 2 300s.  My source is Directv.  Is this common or do I have a problem?  Is there a setting that will level this out?

I have been using a Sonos Beam with 2 Sonos Fives as surrounds for watching content on my TV. The Beam standalone is not as good of a speaker compared to the Fives in my opinion and I have been contemplating if I should just sell it. On a side note, I am exploring the idea of grouping 2 Sonos Era 100s and 2 Sonos Fives and connect them to my Apple TV. Has anyone tried this before and have any feedback/inputs?

Hi everyone. I bought 1x Ray and 2x Era 100. I put the Ray in the center and the Era 100 on the sides. Can you please tell me if the Sonos app realized that the Era is used for the front right and left channel? I have an assumption that the Sonos app thinks the Era is used for the rear left and right channels. Is there any way I can check this and reconfigure it? Thanks.

I have had issues intermittently with the sound cutting in and out or skipping with my system. I have an epson projector with an hdmi cable 50ft run through the ceiling and down the wall to my Sonos arc. From the Arc I have a sub and two SLs connected. I have good internet signal and everything worked great for about a month, then I started to notice the skipping or cutting in and out of the sound. It’s annoying as heck when trying to enjoy a movie. Has anyone experienced this? If so then how did you fix it? I tried calling SONOS for help and it just direct me to someone in another country following a set list of trouble shooting.

Some troubleshooting help for those experiencing the popping/static/distortion sound after upgrading to tvOS17 with Apple TV 4K and Sonos Arc…I was experiencing this crackle/distortion from the Arc after a few minutes of use and most noticeably when I would start the Apple TV VPN service (I tried 2 different VPN Apps, same impact). Resolution:changing the Apple TV Video to 4K HDR (HDR10+) 60 Hz (from the 50Hz option) seems to have solved the issue after restarting the Apple TV and the Arc Trouble Steps taken (no resolution):Update Sonos S2 App, then update the Sonos speakers after (no resolution) Testing for 2.4Ghz interference, fixed wifi to channel 1 (from 6) and SonosNet Channel (in app) to 11 (from 6) (no resolution) trying different VPN (no resolution)Equipment:Apple TV 4K tvOS 17 (ethernet connected) Arc (ethernet conencted), ERA100 (x2), Sub (G3) Samsung “55 120Hz capable with One Connect box  HDMI 2.2 cables Xbox Series XGood Luck to All!

I have a New Qled Samsung TV and have purchased a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and a Sub Mini, all great but I’ve been having a issues with the Sonos disconnecting and reverting the TV back to TV speaker.I also have a 4K Amazon Firestick and suspicious it is this causing the conflict. The Sonos is connected to the HDMI - e Arc (3) and the Firestick is connected to HDMI 2.I’ve read that others on here have had this or similar problems and disabled CEC on the Amazon Firestick, I’ve done this now and hope it cures it.I did try the supplied Optical to HDMI cable as an alternative connection but the body seems to be a bit too big to connect it correctly to the TV and couldn’t get it to work.Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Hi all, I’m at my wits end with this ongoing problem. I’ve done the standard troubleshooting below which works HOWEVER whenever I turn the TV off at the end of the day and go to turn it back on to use it later or whenever the problem starts up again, communication failure etc. Really shouldn’t have to be doing this every time I want to use my system or watch a movie or game. Any help would be greatly appreciated. All my other devices work perfectly with my TV, the ARC is plugged into the E/ARC port and everything is configured correctly with Bravia Sync. Disconnect everything from the TV and unplug the Arc and TV from power for a couple of minutes. Plug everything back in but keep everything disconnected. Make sure Bravia Sync is enabled in the TV settings. Run TV Setup in the Sonos app and follow the app instructions. When the app instructs you, connect the Arc to the TV’s HDMI ARC port using the Sonos-supplied HDMI cable. After the Arc has been successfully connected, connect your ot

Since installing the Sonos Beam 2 I have had a few incidents where the LG OLED TV switches itself on at random times. This seems to coincide with the Virgin Internet being disrupted? Is this a known 'feature' and how do I stop it happening?

Hi, I’m a film maker in south east london who has been a starved of home cinema for too long and desperately needs your help! I wonder if you can help answer my questions or point me to the right threads. For a long time I had the original apple tv with optical audio out going through a little powered connecting box before going into the original (now defunct) Sonos white and grey Amp. There was always intermittent issues that we overcame much to the frustration of my wife! However I’ve just purchased a new Apple TV box which doesn’t have an optical out and feels like i need to get a new Amp to replace the old one which doesn’t work on the new Sonos app. Could you recommend in baby language what system components you think i need to get to play movies from a projector. I have pair of sonos speakers and the Sub. Do i just have to rely on hdmi for sound now? is that a major downgrade? do I need an amp? Thankyou in advance!

Hi everyone , I do have a beam gen2 , 2 x Era 100 and sub mini and would like to change the Era100’s with 2 x Era 300I do like to listen to music sometimes and I feel like the Era100s are little low on my expectations.do you think that Era 300s would be a good choice considering to use them mainly as reers and in some cases to use them as stereo pair only for music and do you think I would notice the difference compared to ERA 100.shoud I really upgrade ? appreciate your answers for this

Living room with arc sub 2 sl’s, office with an era 300.  Era 300 disappears from iPhone app. Have restarted router and speakers, still happens. Switch off iPhone and switch it on again makes it come back. Is odd, am currently restarting my iPhone multiple times a day just to get the era 300 to appear in the Sonos app

Hello, I have sonos arc bass and 2 ones , perfect 5.1 .i have recently sorted atmos via the arcana but to be honest can’t see any difference (hear)my arc is below the tv and sticks out so the sound can travel upwardswhats the best settings on the app please maybe I’ve got those wrong?cheers jon

I recently just purchased the Beam Gen2, and my current setup is a projector screen in my basement.  I’m trying to avoid having to run wires behind my wall, so I’m wondering if the placement of the Beam is crucial for the sound?Im considering mounting it above the screen, just below the rafters, as this would make this an easier project by being able to run wires through the rafters.  I purchased the Sonos mount, so this wouldn’t allow me to angle it downward. What should I do?

It seems that a lot of Arc customers have problems with the Arc when you play Dolby Atmos contents. I am one of those.I have tried all the twerks suggested by other customers in this Forum without success. I am aware that many had a replacement but in my case it was denied by the support team. They are aware of the problem but they told me that from the diagnostic that I’ve sent the soundbar doesn’t have any software/hardware problem.I was going to buy a couple of new Era 300 as Dolby Atmos surround compatible, but now I’m not that sure anymore considering the clicks and pops during the show or worse when it stops playing.I’ve been very happy with Sonos through the years, but now I’m not that impressed. Is there anyone with new twerks to try or how can I get a working Arc with Dolby Atmos? Thanks anyway

Recently moved.PlayBar was wired previously.Ok, things are wonky. The PlayBar is no longer associated with my account? What?Ok, let’s just do a factory reset and start fresh. Both phone and PlayBar connected to the same network (PlayBar wired). Can’t find it. Can’t find it. Can’t find it. Can’t find it. Can’t find it. Can’t find it. Ok, restart phone. Restart router. Unplug PB, replug.Found it! Great, let’s set up wifi!Cannot set up wifi while plugged in to Ethernet. Well, that’s pretty dumb, but Ok. Get to unplug step. It’s unplugged.Let’s connect to SONOS local network.Hold the play + - buttons until it blinks amber.IT NEVER EVER BLINKS AMBER.It will blink whitish blue, but never amber.Ok, let’s reset everything and start from fresh. Finally, after trying ten times it blinks amber and the app says:Let’s reconnect your mobile devices...SONOS. (PB is solid amber now)Great!Press Continue!Connecting to your Playbar…Your mobile device couldn’t connect to your PlayBar. Move closer and make su

I have a Samsung Q950 tv with a dedicated eARC HDMI.My tv apps like Netflix and Disney+ detect that I have Atmos supported hardware and when I play something, it works flawlessly. On my consoles like the Xbox Series X and PS5, the sound in game stops for a sec and then resumes.I do have to clarify that on my Xbox I have the Dolby Atmos app installed and on my PS5 I have the latest update that finally supports Atmos.Maybe it’s a setting I have to change on the tv or on my consoles but I’m not proficient enough with every option (or the best).Any advise is MUCH appreciated, have such an expensive setup, and this is annoying.

Hello, I have an sonos playbar which do not power on, i saw this topic:i checked the mainboard inside and it has the same blown chip as on the photo's on the forum. So i replaced it, and turn it on again but the same chip blow again.Do someone know what the problem is?

Any advice or help gratefully received! TIA!I’ve had a Playbar and 2 Play1 speakers for about 10 years which have served me well. However, space wise I need to move the Playbar out to create more room. The question is, should I get the Ray (much smaller for a compact room) with 2 Era 100 speakers, just the Era speakers and connect them via Bluetooth from my smart TV (Samsung) or just the Ray and use it with the 2 Play 1 speakers? Thank you!

bonjour pour une question de budget est il possible d’associer une era 100 en surround à une era 300 que je possède avec une barre beam 2 peut être aurais je du acheter 2 era 100 à la place d’une era 300merci
