Home Theater

hi everyone, I'm Italian I'm using a translator and I hope to be clear, my kit consists ofarc2xera 3002xsubI'm quite satisfied with the sound in general and above all with the very intuitive app but there are some things I don't like the dialogues they are very poor compared to Bose even with the (dialogue enhancement activated) why doesn't Sonos make an effort to create 3 steps (low, medium, high) of dialogue balance on the app? era 300 sounds very good with atmos but why can't I listen to music in stereo while also activating the central speaker? I paid the cash not to collect dust, I hope I managed to explain myself well, thanks

Hi all,I recently upgraded my Beam Gen 2 to an Arc and ever since I’m only getting Stereo PCM outputted when I play a 4K Blu Ray that outputs DTS HD. This was working fine on my Beam 2 and it would convert this to PCM Multichannel 7.1.My set up:TV - LG C1 - Passthrough and eArc enabled Sound - Arc, Sub Gen 3, Era 100’s x24K Player - Panasonic DP-UB450EB-K Dolby Atmos works fine but since changing to an Arc it’s only converting DTS HD to stereo PCM.I’ve looked through all the posts on here and it seems a lot of people have had this problem before. I’ve amended my settings on the Blu Ray player but this hasn’t worked.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you

I’ve read several pages of similar complaints in this topic: https://en.community.sonos.com/topic/show?tid=6843110&fid=228993I have exact same issue, and I haven’t found any resolution (some people report that the issue was fixed, but I can tell that it’s still the case). So far what I discovered:When I don’t do any TruePlay tuning at all after factory reset, the issue is here When I do TruePlay tuning with my iPhone 12 while following the app instructions, it doesn’t help When I do TruePay tuning with my girlfriend’s iPhone 12 Mini while following the app instructions, it doesn’t help When I do TruePay tuning with my girlfriend’s iPhone 12 Mini while while standing at the first tuning step instead of sitting, it helps greatly, but sound quality still leaves much more to be desired When I additionally raise iPhone higher on the second step of tuning, it makes sound more metallic and unpleasant againWhat I also discovered while reading the huge topic referenced above is that presumab

I was thinking how my Sonos Home theatre set up would sound with the Arc as a centre speaker and Era 300’s additional left and right.I have the Arc, 2 x Sub Gen 3 & 2 x Era 300’s for the  rears. When listening to this set up, I can’t help hear that the Arc is the weak link in the set up. For example, listening to the Era 300s as a pair sound great for Spatial content, but the Arc alone just sounds empty IMO, Im wishing Sonos would add the ability to use the Arc as a centre and Era 300’s or 100’s as front left and right. I think this would be an awesome Atmos setup.

I have 2 era 300s and a sub 3gen, I have been thinking of buying a beam and I would like to ask how this combination works when listening to music? Can I place all three speakers in the front? My wish would be to use the beam as a center speaker, but it doesn't seem possible. How would you place the speakers yourself when I mostly listen to music. Right now I have connected the system to the TV via Apple TV. and it works well.

We play music in the house all our waking hours.  When we do watch TV it’s with the ARC.  It switches from music to TV pretty well.  However, when we are done with TV and turn it off the music does not resume.  If we tell Sonos to play music it will play at the higher TV volume we have set.  Any way to “ resume “ after TV?Any way to have a default MUSIC volume ( to go back to when we go from TV back to Music )

HiI have recently bought the sonos beam 2 and the voice enhancement doesn't work. I've contacted customer services and they did some tests which was showing they had the same problem at their end and they would be looking into it because there was a number of people with the same problem. So I'm wondering if anyone on here has the same problem and whether this is a faulty item. Its as if you can't increase volume in the center channel. Is there anyway to force this. Night mode works OK.

Getting really frustrated as a seasoned Sonos owner. I have an brand new LG G3 with an Arc hooked up to eArc along with a Sub 3rd. No rears yet. I have a Apple TV 4K as well as a PS5 hooked up. I have gone through the setting recommendations and reset posted by GuitarSuperstar (thank you btw) multiple times and I cannot keep Dolby Atmos to stay, it keeps saying LPCM 7.1 and the sound is awful. Have to continually turn it almost all the way up and it sounds like crap. Can someone please help me get it so it sticks and actually works.

Hi Sonos Community,Having issues using the LG G1 and the Sonos Arc when I want to use Bluetooth headphones on the TV. Maye one of you have some insights? So I’ve done quite a bit of research and nothing I do in the settings of either the ARC or the G1 fixes the issue. I have seen and read through the entire thread in the other channel but thought it worthwhile starting a new channel in the Troubleshooting section. I have reached out to Sonos via LiveChat and they advised that this is known. I have logged a support case with LG as well. Trying to set the G1 to use a pair of wireless headphones using Bluetooth whilst the ARC is connected using eARC.The ARC keeps forcing the audio out connection back to itself. The Bluetooth connection to the headphones disconnects after about 1-2 seconds when it reverts back to the Sonos Arc as the audio output device.I understand that this is how HMDI-CEC is meant to work but have tried everything to stop this behaviour, even setting the TV to optical ou

Hello, I have a question about starting my home theater.I currently have an LG UQ8050 TV, it has HDMI EARC, I also have an Apple TV 4K 2022.I want to buy a Sonos Beam Gen 2, or a Sonos ARC.Will I be able to enjoy Dolby Atmos? I understand that it would work because I have the EARC port on the TV.I hope for your help...Thank you!

We are buying a house with a large living room with vaulted ceiling. I am wondering if the placement of the arc bar where the red rectangle and ERAs where the blue squares would work. The house is not completed yet so I don’t have all the specs of room size or furniture. I would love to get the height effect from the atmos and fill the room when watching movies and sports.  The arc will be paired with a 70 in LG OLED

Have set up my new Beam(gen 2) and wanted to pair my 2 One speakers as surrounds.Went through all the relevant steps and in app tells me everything is connected and working. However only the left surround has sound out and none at all from the right?Unpaired them and used the right sided as a standalone in my kitchen to check was working normally,  and it played music perfectly. So went back to try pair them again, and same issue arose. Only the left surround emits sound and nothing from the right.Have tried with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital 5.1 and same problem. System has beam hard wired via ethernet direct from modem with cat 6e cable, and the rears paired via wi-fi so cannot understand why one speaker is playing but not the other?Any help greatly appreciated.

Should read 2.0 not 2.o.  Well last piece came in today which was the Arc. Got the sub and Era 300’s last week and all was good. But seems no matter what I try I’m stuck output Stereo PCM on the app. Similar to this  Unfortunately this might not be solvable on my end. I have LG 55EC9300 and the HDMI Port 1 with ARC is unfortunately broken. So I’m using Optical audio out, but there are no other options for pass through for that port I can see. Even did a firmware update. Still have my Denon receiver which is fine but haven’t felt like running cables for the rears as we moved into a new place and thought maybe a nice wireless systems would keep things cleaner. But with no Atmos since ARC is broken on my TV and stereo via optical only. I think I might just need to pack up and return everything if no other ideas short of getting a new TV.I did try to configure my Denon to just pass through to the ARC but that didn’t work.  Thanks all

Wow once you connect the sub 3 the arc comes alive this is worth the wait and investment over time next are a pair of 300s to complete the setup 🙏❤️👍

Good evening all. I’ve just currently purchased the Sonos arc, sub gen 3 and two era 300. All are still currently boxed as decorating my lounge. The length of my lounge is 6m. As you will see my tv is placed on one wall and the opposite side has a bifold door. Where my sofa sits it’s in the centre of room right in front of tv and sits in line with end of wall on left and right. Now do I put my era 300 in line with my sofa highlighted as A on wall or do I go with option 2 highlighted as B on the ceiling just in front of curtain pole upside down? All advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I recently bought a new TV (LG G36), Sonos Arc, 2 x Era 300s and a sub mini. When it’s working, it’s a fantastic sound. However…I’ve been experiencing what can only be described as an electric “popping” noise, and occasional audio loss (about 3-4 seconds) on my Arc.Without fail, every evening, there will be a popping noise (sometimes when also using my iPhone and randomly scrolling websites/apps, but it might only be coincidental), and audio also sometimes disappears. The plopping noise (quite high pitched, but not a loud bang) happens too often to be ignored. This happens not only with Atmos content, but also watching a movie where the Sonos app showed up as Dolby 5.1.  However, all my settings (TV, PS5, Sonos app) are all geared up for Dolby Atmos (why I bought the expensive system!) and special / surround audio. Any advice how to fix would be appreciated- my wife is complaining it’s a waste of (significant) money and wants it all returned - and it’s hard to argue with her to be ho

Hello, Need advice with multi hdmi inputs set-up to LG OLED TV (ARC only).Devices:LG OLED TV (ARC only)  + HDFury Arcana for eARCXBOX OnePS5Panasonic Blu-rayFireTV (All steaming Apps set-up here)Sonos Arc with Sub and Era 300 surrounds Looking for a HDMI switch that can support Xbox & PS5 frame rate and handle all the HDMI inputs for simpler management.Plan is to connect all devices to switch then TV out to HDFury (for eARC & TV split). Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Saludos. Google Translate:Hello, I have a home theater made up of an arc bar, 1 gen 3 sub, and 2 rear one sl speakers. I am going to replace the rear speakers with 2 era 300 speakers. They have not arrived yet and I hope the change is noticeable. Is it worth installing a second sub? And where is it best to place it? I have the first sub on the front to the right of the bar.Greetings.

So i just took advantage of the 30% off upgrade and got a Beam 2. But have to say its the first sonos item i am now impressed with and would likely return under 100 day. I have a gen 1 beam paired with sub mini. In a small living room.Using Netflix ane other streaming apps gaming and movies. Intitially i thoaght it was slightly less bassey than the gen 1 in a good way. But after running some films at same parts and swapping between the two. Its a let down other than a metal grille i see not advancement. I dont have tru play and kept settings the same for both.

Beginning to realize you can't group the sonos products

Greetings Audiophiles!  My Sonos system, Beam Gen 2, 2-One SL’s & Sub mini are positioned in condo living room with 12-15 ft ceilings. I rarely push the volume past 40.Our home office is adjacent to the living room and wondering how can I use and/or setup my MacBook to  run the 2-One SL’s as a separate system?I “think” adding the ERA 100’s [ERA 300’s might be tooo much?] where the 2-One SL’s were in the living room would refine my living room experience very nicely.

Hello there I‘m a proud owner of an Arc, Sub and 2xEra 300. As great the Surround Setup is for Movies, I think that two Era 300 on it‘s own as a stereo pair sounds better. The best setup would be if the Era 300 keep their full functionality when playing music in combination with the Arc+Sub. I actually can achieve this by sending an Airplay Signal to the Stereo pair and to the Arc at the same time. The problem with this is, when I want to watch a movie I have to pair the Era 300s with the Arc+Sub to get the full emersive experience. Is there a resolution planned yet? This is something that many Era 300 owners wish for. Feel free to comment and get into good discussions among enthusiasts 😁
