Hi allEvery time I start to watch something the volume is always set to mute. This only started happening a few months ago. Every time, there’s no sound. So I have to press volume up, then the green light displays, indicating it’s on mute, and I have to increase the volume to the desired level. When I’m navigating Plex finding a film, I don’t get the interface audio clicks. It’s so irritating, it makes me feel like things are broken. Does anyone know why this is happening?Any help is appreciated!

Hi allI have a Samsung UE55AU8000 TV, which is connected a Ray via optical cable. I use the Plex app on the TV to watch my movies, which are stored on my Synology DS224+ NAS. My movie collection is encoded with HEVC. I like a lot of old films from the 40s and 50s and many of these have AAC Mono audio. When I play one, there is no sound from the Ray :( To get sound, I have to go in to the TV Settings > Sound > Expert Settings, and change Digital Output Audio Format from ‘Auto’ to ‘PCM’ and I’m getting really fed up of having to do this.  Can someone explain:The reason for this; I’d expect mono to be a fairly simple thing to deal with, and regardless of how many speakers there are, they should all simply play the same mono signal. Would that not be a better solution? If my solution is the correct one, if not, is there another way of dealing with this? I recently jumped on the Sonos bandwagon with the Arc Ultra, Sub-4, and a couple of Era-300 (happy happy happy).But I just noticed that Google Assistant is not listed as an assistant I can install from the app.Is this just because it is new or something?

The manual says to turn the collar counter clockwise in order to swivel but is it so tight I don’t want to break it. Anyone have the same issue?? I searched on YouTube and no one else seems to have this issue..

I don’t see a way to turn off music overnight.  I’ve left music on outside before and my neighbors didn’t appreciate it. The best idea i have is to plug my Sonos amp into a timed outlet.  This will force the zone to be off during established quiet hours.   is there a better way to do this?

Hi all! I listen to a lot of music with my Arc Ultra, Era 300s, and Sub Gen 2. While I felt like the system doesn’t fully reach its potential due to the nerfed Era 300s, I was still quite happy with how it handles music overall (coming from the OG Arc + Symfonisk Bookshelf Speakers). That said, I was never a big fan of setting Music Playback to "Full" in the Surround Settings. To me, it always sounded a bit muffled and echoey, whereas "Ambient" had a much better, more balanced sound.Over the past few months, I’ve done multiple Trueplay tunings, and after the latest update, I decided to do it again. And then, just for a moment, I disabled Trueplay while having Music Playback set to "Full"—and wow! The difference was huge. The sound was clearer, more open, and way more enjoyable than with trueplay "on" or ambient.So I switched back to "Ambient", which, in my opinion, clearly sounds better with Trueplay ON. Had two Era 100 Pro’s installed today but the installer and I cannot figure out how to get them working properly for surround sound. Can I use a PoE switch w/o the uplink OR do I have to use PoE Injectors and a switch combo to get the Pros into wireless mode? The installed had a 65W 5-Port GB switch with 802.3af/at PoE+ ports, 30W max per Port 65W total for all PoE+ ports. Thanks 

Hi Sonos Community,I’m having an issue with my Sonos Arc when streaming Dolby Atmos content via my Apple TV 4K. The audio intermittently drops out for 1-2 seconds during playback, especially on Netflix and Disney+.Setup Details:Soundbar: Sonos Arc Streaming Device: Apple TV 4K (2nd Gen) TV: LG CX OLED Connection: eARC enabled with HDMI 2.1 cable Network: Strong Wi-Fi connection with no noticeable interruptionsTroubleshooting Steps Tried:Ensured all devices are running the latest firmware and software versions. Replaced the HDMI cable with a certified Ultra High-Speed cable. Adjusted Apple TV audio settings between “Auto” and “PCM” modes. Hello! I use my Arc Ultra connected to my eARC BenQ TK710 dolby atmos capable projector. I use an ATV4K 2022 edition. Very often whenever I want to stream Atmos content on any platform I get no audio at all! The Sonos app shows no audio! If I force the ATV4K to play DD5.1 then it works again! Or If I leave it on Auto, Atmos on then the 5.1 content reads Stereo PCM on the Sonos app. Is this happening to you? I have changed cables..I am using Ruipro 8K fiber optic cables 25 ft the green ones and still the same issue. I have to disconnect the Arc from power and plug it back in for it to work again with Atmos.

I am looking to potentially connect  2 beam sound bars to one TV is there a viable way to do it?I was going to use an HDMI splitter into the Earc and told that may or may not work.Any feedback is welcome as it’s not my area of expertise.thank you

Just upgraded from an Arc and Sub Gen 3 to Arc Ultra and Sub 4.Both devices are connected via ethernet cable.I am able to disable WiFi for the Arc Ultra.But for Sub 4, there is no option to disable WiFi - is this normal for Sub 4?

I have a large living room.  Home Theater is amazing!  But blasting music sucks.I have an Arc, full size Sub, 2xOnes (back).   I would LOVE to add another full Sub (which I see I CAN to the Theater system) and I would love to add LEAST 2 x Era 300s (front pair) or even more.    BUT… from everything I’m reading I can’t play music with those speakers even if I drop out the ARC.  I can’t select a group/room that includes all those where most of those speakers are also in the group/room/home theater system.Is there a way to expand my existing home theater system to include Era 300s? Or is there a way to easily toggle between home theater as is and Era 300s but include the subs and ones without manually dropping and adding speakers every time I want to play music?Any other ideas?How do people that have big living rooms and like to rock the house set up sonos systems?Thank you!!

No change in devices but no longer see Atmos in Now Playing on the Sonos app. I can get Multichannel PCM but no Atmos. My Apple TV 4K device used to see a separate Living Area set of speakers as an audio choice. Now I only see the Apple TV. When I select that option all I get is AirPlay, no Atmos. Apple told me to contact Sonos. Sonos chat support no help. Recommendations?

Hey everyone - I have a pretty old Samsung TV (UA46C7000) that doesn’t support eArc, it does have an Arc port but it only outputs PCM.I’ve been using the Xiaomi MI Box Gen 2 and I’ve connected it to the Sonos Beam usingand optical cable. This give pretty bad results as the sound is metallic at times and is in stereo.I’ve seen loads of good reviews on the Arcana being able to convey Dolby Atmos to the Beam. Does anyone have any experience with this specific setup? (Mi box → Arcana → Beam).Will it work seemlessly? Perhaps there’s a cheaper solution that’s I’m not aware of?Many thanks!

I have client that has a sonance 8 channel amp. We want to hook his TV up to the amp for the speakers. How can we do this? The tv is outside so we can't run an Hdmi and he doesn't want a sound bar. I was told that he could get an audio video receivers that can work off the tv through blue tooth. But not sure. Does anyone know how this can be done. Thanks Jeff Sequeira 

So my ERA 300’s will be here tomorrow and plan on replacing my 2 IKEA SYMFONISK.My question is once setup as a surround, if I press the Bluetooth button does it automatically allow me to use as Bluetooth or is there more to do in app? thanks in advance

I have the Sonos Arc and Sub Gen3 and I would like to wall mount the Arc under my tv. TV is an 85” Sony and is hung on the wall with a fully articulated mount. The tv does not sit flush on the wall - it is 6 inches out from wall to the front of the tv. If I use the Sonos Arc mount or equivalent after market, the Arc will be almost flush with the wall and ‘under’ and not in front of the tv, even though I plan to mount 4” to 5” below the tv. Seems like the upwards firing speakers would go into and into the gap behind the tv.Does this pose any issues with sound quality or sound bar functionality? Does the Arc need to come out off the wall and be “in front of” the bottom edge of the tv! If yes, am I better off getting a scissor style mount for it (Sanus Extendable Sound Bar Mount) or mounting a floating shelf? I don’t really want to see the mount or wires - I already have a cable management kit for it, but really want to put the sound bar so far off the wall that yo can see the outlet and

I have a Beam connected to my Apple TV with ARC. The Apple TV is connected to the router via ethernet. It plays on my LG TV.I set the Beam to be the default audio output but it keeps changing back to the TV speakers. It changes when I turn the TV off and on and sometimes it changes when I choose a different channel. Quite annoying. Any ideas?

I have an Arc connected to my LG TVIt used to occassionally give me an issue where when I switched inputs I would get no sound.Usually turning it off and on a few times would finally get it working. Then about 3 weeks ago I added another HDMI device to my TV and now it is difficult to get sound when I turn the TV on.Intially I was going into the sound source and changing to internal TV speaker then back to HDMI arc but would take a few attempts. Sometimes it would take 5 minutes of fiddling before it started to work. Very annoying. However I have discovered today that if I sit and wait for about 4 m inutes the sound fades in. This  has only happened twice so the jury is out. I often play music on the Arc during the day and then the TV goes on at night.I have a suspicion that it does not like changing sources and that is what the problem is but this needs more time to figure out Any help or advice would be welcome Thanks Steve

Hello, i am not much into Sonos systems and everything, but i have 2 Sonos One SL speakers which are working independently on two different locations. Now i want to buy Sonos playbar and my question is can i connect those two speakers to playbar to form some sort of stereo system where playbar would be in the front below tv and speakers would be back in each corner? Is this even possible, and also is it gonna work on LG tv?

Hi, This is so frustrating, I hope you can help me resolve this issue. My system incl Arc, Sub Mini and 2 x Sonos SLs.  It is in my Lounge (the router is in this room too). From the start my system has had difficulty maintaining Wi-Fi contact with my router.  The present issue is that one of the surrounds suddenly stopped working.  Every attempt to add it back into my system fails as it merely creates a new System creating a new room named Lounge 2.  It is silent when watching TV. Given the difficulties I’ve experienced throughout I am loathe to do it but I’m wondering whether I should delete my Sonos account, factory reset all my components and start completely afresh.  What do you recommend? Many thanks, Terry

Current setup: Home theater group: -1 arc ultra (e-arc plugged in) -2 era 300s (as surround - 2 gen 4 subs… second group bound to first: Sonos amp (wireless connected) - 2 floor speakers 🔊, 2 era 100s… - one proper full sized sub  but I want more. Although I can do Atmos now with full audio fidelity because the amp is not plugged into e-arc… I was thinking about doing two Sonos ceiling speakers connected to a second Sonos amp however I realized it does not support Atmos and so I will not do that… I was also considering (I’m still considering), Purchasing one or two bluesound powernodes, Connecting everything, And then getting two ceiling speakers that have Atmos capability because the power nodes support Atmos Alternatively… What the hell else can I do? The only thing that comes to mind, While maintaining full Atmos fidelity, Is to get a second arc ultra, Connecting it wirelessly to the wireless amp, Placing it in the back… A few prayers… And full Atmos?  I don’t know.. Thoughts?  I w

Green light is on the Beam. It plays music through Alexa/ phone app, but does not play the tv audio. The tv settings do not show it being there even though it is plugged in to ARC socket. I don’t like the sound of the tv and desperately want the beam back on

Brand new sonos system. Arc ultra three hundreds as rear along with sub four. Set up the arc ultra through the latest sonos app. Added the 2 three hundreds and sub 4 for surround. No sound coming from the rears or sub. App says connected??
