Glossy and matte finishes.

Can't see prices since I'm in the US but if one is less expensive, you can buy or make a very attractive Sub cover, maybe cheaper than the difference if it matters to you.

They are both the exact same Sub.

The first link is sold by Amazon directly, the 2nd link is sold by a 3rd party through Amazon.

Went to a bigger screen for a closer look, the details list, down a ways, is also different in addition to the gloss / matte picture difference.

The US versus UK model number might be an issue as not all regions are compatible. Might be a listing error as neither will ship to a US address.

The Sub (Gen 3) does not come in a matte finish.

The 2nd link for a “Sonos Sub (Gen 3) - Wireless Subwoofer Black” actually shows pics for a Sub (Gen1) as the power button is square, not round. Also shows silver trim which does not relate to the Sub (Gen3).

Simply purchase from Amazon using the first link and ignore the 3rd party seller.

As has been said the Sub 3 was not offered in matte finish at least not in the US. The Sub showing the Gloss finish as has been said is not a Sub 3.

IMO I’d decline both and buy direct from Sonos.

In the US direct from Sonos the Sub 3 is offered as Refurbished and Last Chance. Both are limited quantities. Such offers may or may not be available in the UK.

Clearly you haven’t researched prices in the UK.

No I haven’t. However the issue IMO regardless of Price is to make sure the product shown is authentic. From my observation and that of others the product is suspect.

So I ask you… as you recommended the first link as legitimate and from my browser it appears as matte finish which is not a Sub 3…why are suggesting that purchase?

The first link is the official listing of the Sub (Gen3) sold by and dispatched by Amazon, which I stated in my first reply on the thread.

The pictures are also wrong on that link (showing Sub 4 instead of Sub gen3), but that is an incorrect listings detail by Amazon.

This is still the answer, even although the thread question has been removed.
