So my Sonos playbase has been giving me issues.  I’ve tried factory resetting it and still can’t find it.  what would you recommend?

hello. I have an Arc paired with two one SL as surrounds. One of the surrounds is buzzing when the volume in the movie gets loud. Purchased at Best Buy. Sounds like a blown speaker. It’s been like this since first installed. Do I bring it back to Best Buy or deal with Sonos direct. Thank you. 

Sony 900H TV with Arc. Simple system.Chronic intermittent audio drop out. 3 longs support calls with no solution. Really?Sonos had me:Send diagnostics; Reconfigure router; Change HDMI cable; Power down Sonos and TV; Change HDMI cable again; and Clean HDMI ports.Still have random audio dropouts. Sometime audio spontaneously returns, sometime must turn off and back on. Really? With so many reporting the same problem for 6 months, why no solution?

I have a Sony Bravia TV with no HDMI Arc but the optical cable port. I have my beam plugged in to this port. The TV has lost all sound and tells me that an audio device is connected so it knows the Beam is there. The Sonos app tells me that no signal is detected. I'm at my wits end. It's all plugged in correctly but the Beam is not playing ball. 

Hi, I just bought an Arc and a Sub3, but to be honest the sound quality of the Arc is really poor! When performing the Trueplay settings, the ‘beeps’ sound great and they fill the entire room. But as soon I play music (or tv audio) through the Arc, it sounds flat and lifeless. When I place a JBL Flip4 (€75!) next to it, it fills the room with a more pleasant sound. Dolby Atmos content (Netflix) sounds a lot better, although it still doesn’t feel like sitting in a ‘sound bubbel’  I can’t believe that the Arc isn’t capable to create a way better sound than it does now. Is this a software issue? I really consider (with reluctance) to return this set and move to another brand.   

Hi all,I’m fairly new to Sonos so please forgive my naivety. I have a very simple set up, ie from my Sony TV I have 2 x active Yamaha HS7 speakers simply connected from the headphone jack in the TV to the powered speakers with a 3.5ml cable that splits in to two that connect with XLR jacks directly in to the speakers. So the TV is essentially muted and TV audio is played through the Yamaha’s.  I also have a Sonos beam in my bedroom. Which I send music too via wifi mainly using Spotify. I would firstly like to add my powered Yamaha’s on to the Sonos network and think the easiest way is with a Sonos connect gen 1 (old school I know). These are my questions:What’s the best way to make that connection as I understand if I connect my TV to the Sonos connect and then to the speakers it will be great for just streaming music to the speakers but for TV audio there will be a delay and will be a sync issue between the TV picture and audio. My Sonos beam flashes orange and white. I’ve tried multiple HDMI cables, power cords, even multiple TVs and outlets. The volume turns down automatically, as soon as I turn it up it turns back down. I sent a diagnostic, my number is 1989372323. Thanks for any help you can provide. 

I genuinely dread setting up my one sl on a new network -- why is it so difficult?Does anyone know of alternative methods to setting this product up other than using an ethernet cable - I’m on vacation and did not bring one. 

This seems to be a common issue so forgive me if I am duplicating threads….We have brand new Beam and unable to set it up either wirelessly or on ethernet.I have tried all suggestions i.e. reboot router, reboot & factory set Beam etcWe have n existing Sonos system and I have had training so am now at a miss with why it will not allow us to set it up. It is nothing obvious. After trawling the internet we have run out of ideas. Very disappointing but if anybody has any other ideas we could try I would love to hear.

Hii just got a new TV and setup my Beam Bar and a new thing is happening where when I switch from HDMI1/Directv to HDMI2/Apple TV, my Beam Bar keeps playing HDMI1 audio even tho tv is on HDMI2. anyone know how to fix this? im running my Beam via Optical

I've recently got a new router and with this a few network settings changed, as of now after a few minutes my BEAM disconnects when I airplay any content to it. I would like to remove the old network and 'refresh' the network settings by adding it again. I do not wish to change my password as this will result all my devices in my household 100+ to lose connection and it's really not a road I want to go down to. Any input is highly appreciated.  I have tried to give the BEAM a dedicated IP address but it does not want to use my new router settings..

My Sonos Beam disconnects from my Sony Bravia TV Sync device list every time I play music on it.  I unplug and reboot it,and it connects and comes back onto the list.  But the next time I play music, same problem.  How do I fix this?

So do you put the Sonos arc in the front of your entrainment center or the middle?

Hello,is anyone using Sonos Beam with a 2020 MBP 16 without optical port ?all I read is pointing to complicated solutions with a bunch of converters and cables.I would like to go for the Beam since I already own other Sonia devices but with all this complexity I am feeling compelled to go for another solution to get a 2.1 audio solution for my MBP.PS: Airplay does not feel like a good solution as it has lag

It’s a long story but i want to use my Beam with my 2020 MacBook Pro which only has USB-C output. Sonos say this is not supported as Beam is made for TVs (with optical or HDMI-ARC output). I can hook it up via wifi but get a bad lag which can’t be cured. SO I got it working with following daisy chain: USB-C => HDMI adapter; HDMI => optical; optical => HDMI. It’s driving me nuts that it won’t just simply work with the USB-C => HDMI, as I understand that both USB-C and HDMI (from 1.4b) are supposed to support everything e.g. see this CNET report: “Dongles begone! Hi allSince about a year prior to JAN 2020 I am using:sonos beam 12.2.22x symfonusk satellites 12.2.2Sony KD75XF7596 For some reason now the system is only now and then activating the surround speakers. it used to play everything even ”false” surround from old movies or youtube, recently i tried the tv settings (audio options on remite) which helped and activated but now it is no longer working with everything. Only when a new movie or source it is active it is soo frustrating that my gear just gets disabled due to an app update.. anybody has any idea?  bestTom

Hello, my sonos system is as follow:1 arc + sonos One surrounds1 Symfonisk Bookshelf1 Symfonisk LampMy wifi network is a mesh one, with a Fritzbox 7530 router and one FritzRepeater 1200. Wifi signal is very strong in the whole houseArc and Bookshelf get their wifi signal directly from the router, and work without any problem, very stableLamp is getting signal from the repeater, which is located 3 meters from the lamp, with no obstructions (just a door, but always open), and it is not stable at all. Sometimes I can listen to music for hours without any problem, sometimes it stop playing after a few seconds, becomes unresponsive and disappear from the the Sonos App. Usually unplugging it and the plugging again fixes it.Any of you guys ever had a similar problem, and if so how did you manage to fix it?Wiring any of the speaker directly to the router is not doable, I may be able to wire one to a mesh repeater, but only as a last resort

Hello,I encountered a very bizarre problem. After struggling to find a clean setup so that the 2 One SLs were equal in volume, they started to be uneven again.Indeed, I suddenly realized that one of them sounded louder than the other without me touching anything. I also noticed that enabling and disabling TruePlay was also causing the same issue. I have therefore avoided comparing with and without since. Only this time it happened without me disabling it. Thinking of a bug, so I removed the 2 One SL and even reset the Arc as well as the surround speakers, but nothing helped.While they ring at the same volume without TruePlay, as soon as I turn it on the reverse happens. The mood on the right is always stronger, whatever I do. Desperately, I wanted to try reversing the speakers. So I did a test again, this time selecting the opposite surround speaker from what Sonos had asked me to do (without physically inverting them, only virtually). There, it i

Hello, I believe this is a common issue although one which I cannot resolve. My setup Sony KD-75XG80xx purchased in 2020 and Sonos Beam worked faultlessly for 9months. All of a sudden the beam will no longer work with the T.V. However it does play music.  After looking on this forum I have done everything that the community has suggested to no avail.  firstly I removed the T.V from the wall to check the connections. All ok.  I then swapped the original HDMI cable supplied from Sonos to another one. No change.  I then removed all other HDMI equipment from the T.V. I checked the audio settings on the T.V and all the same as before, Bravia Sync on Audio and  to audio out.  I then removed all HDMI ports from the T.V including the ARC connected to Sonos and turned everything off over night (about 8 hours) including T.V and Sonos Beam.  I then turned the T.V on and re connected the ARC and repeated

So last week I updated the firmware on my router and it for whatever reason it dropped the Sub.    How exactly does this work, I thought the SUB builds a mesh network with the ARC and only uses the local wifi for setup. On the App it showed ARC (+?)    I had to basically reset the Sub and re-pair it from scratch.  Is this going to happen every time I update my router?

Update 11/28/24. The information in this post also applies to the Arc Ultra. Updated 9/14/23 to include Era 300’s as surrounds (which have upward firing drivers) that replaced Sonos One’s. I have bought several Sonos products so far: Arc, dual Sub, dual Five, dual Play one. I have tried several options to setup my home theater. Two of them are: (1) dual Five as surround, paired Play one grouped as front speaker to enhance dialogue; (2) dual Play one as surround, paired Five group as additional front speakers. I can tell there are some noticeable differences in terms of surrounding sound effect and dialogue from these two setups, but still cannot decide which setup to go. Our family room is quite big 17*25 feet with arched ceiling. I wonder if anyone here had a similar situation. Any suggestions are welcomed. BTW, any suggestions on the orientation of Five as surround, horizontal or vertical?

Hi.I don't have any sonos speakers so far, but I'm designing an installation in my new home and would like to use a sonos system. I wonder how to prepare the installation for sonos arc, sonos sub, and two ceiling speakers so that it is connected to the TV.What will I need to keep everything running afterwards?Internet socket to conect sonos amp, wires from audio speakers to amp. How do I pair the amp with the arc bar?What do I have to think about now so that I don't have problems later?Thank you.

I’ve recently upgraded to Sky Q, from Sky+ HD, and now get strange static/pulsing sounds when changing channels.   Before Sky Q I had: Sky + HD → HDMI → Samsung 46F8000 → HDMI-ARC → Beam Sky box was set to send DD over HDMI.  Tv passed it through HDMI-ARC to the Beam, and confirmed in the Sonos app that the Beam was receiving DD5.1 or DD2.0 when viewing HD channels on the Sky box, and Stereo on SD channels.  I also have and Apple TV and Samsung Blu-Ray connected via HDMI, and again DD is passed through to the Beam as expected. I did have some strange occurrences recently where the Beam seemed to switch from DD to stereo randomly on the same channel of the Sky box, but I had no way of telling which part of the chain was the issue (Sky HD box was pretty old).   I’ve now swapped the Sky + HD box with a Sky Q 1TB box.  So now I have: Sky Q → HDMI → Samsung 46F8000 → HDMI-ARC → Beam Sky Q is set to send DD over HDMI.  The Bea

After the last sonos s2 update, my sub is suuuper intense - even when setting the sub to -2 or so. Who else is experiencing this? Thanks:)
