I just invested in the arc ultra + sub 4 + 2 x era 300 surrounds.I'm a little underwhelmed by the front sound of the arc ultra.  Linked to this I need to have the system volume at around 55 to get a 'normal volume' The overall tone of the front of the system is a bit boxy and doesn't seem to fit well with the sub and surroundsIs this normal? Or could there be an issue with my ultra. I just set up a samsung q990d for a friend and power wise its blowing my set up away. 

What is described in this reddit thread for the Arc Ultra, happens with my Arc system with movies/tv for some time now. Background sounds are very quiet but dialogue is fine and any loud sounds like gunshots, explosions are ok too.It wasn’t always like this, remember it being very atmospheric and detailed.Any ideas how to fix this? First things first. This is not a rant. This is an expalation of a problem, which reduces the experience in 3D audio a lot. For background: I'm a sound engineer and music producer and I don't wanna sound arrogant, but I know what I'm talking about. Before I made the switch I was on the 16.1 app and firmware. So I don't know if the Ultra causes the problem or the app/firmware. I was actually able to cast Dolby Atmos to Sonos via the Hi-Fi Cast app. But the weird thing is, the Dolby Atmos indicator doesn't show up in the "Sources" section of the Sonos app.So my question is, when I cast Dolby Atmos to Sonos via the Hi-Fi Cast app, does it cast the Dolby Atmos audio downmixed to stereo?

Products that are pure white or black do not give designers much to work with in most homes. Would like to see more attention paid to colorway aesthetics. A soundbar does not have to look so generic and unattractive. Perhaps a two-tone Arc Ultra in silver and gunmetal grey.

I’ve been using the same setup for over 7 years—Playbar, Sub, and Play:1s for surround sound—without any issues. Suddenly, I can no longer connect my Play:1s or Sub to the Playbar for surround sound. Even when they briefly show as connected, they disconnect within a few minutes, and I’m forced to reset them. Oddly, each speaker works fine on its own, just not as part of the surround setup.Not sure what is going on   Any help would be appreciated  

Hi,I have 2 Amp's tot support my surround setup. Once the Amp that is connected to the rear speakers is set to act as the surround set I'm not able to use them as a separate room, both Amp's are assigned tot the same room, playing the same music…Can I keep the rear and front Amp separated? So they can play independent from each other while not using them in the surround TV setup?ThanksGG 

Pretty often I have to unplug my Beam gen 2 and reboot it for voices to be normal.When I turn on my LG OLED, Apple TV and Beam the voices/sounds are pretty often more bass and deep (thus distorted and not the correct voices of actors etc). If I unplug everything it usually goes back to normal. The issue has becoming more and more frequent. Any ideas?

It also has four HDMI In ports so you don’t need a separate splitter like you do with the Arcana. Lossless Dolby Atmos passes to the Arc just fine. The one issue I’m having is with any DTS-HD track. It converts every DTS-HD track to lossy DTS Surround. DTS-HD 2.0 becomes DTS Surround 2.0. DTS-HD 5.1 and 7.1 both become DTS Surround 5.1. When I tried changing my Blu-ray player from Auto to PCM, I just got stereo PCM for DTS-HD 5.1 and 7.1 tracks. I can’t find a way to get Multichannel PCM 7.1 like I can when using TV with eArc. I don’t think changing any settings on the TV should matter because I’m sending the audio directly to the Sonos Arc. The CORSAHD device should just be passing through audio, so I’m not sure why I would not get Multichannel PCM. Any ideas? 

Why does my beam suddenly make a crazy loud buzzing noise when I pause Netflix?System was fine and suddenly started acting crazy. Using hdmi-earc from tv to beam.

I recently built a Sonos home theatre system, piece by piece, as I was able to afford each component. I started with the Arc ultra and added two Era 300s and a sub mini. This is all hooked up to my lg g4 77 in OLED.I have researched all over the Internet and am getting differing opinions. My question is straight forward: I am using the era 300s as rear speakers. What are the best configuration settings in the Sonos app for surround, height, arc ultra, etc? Do I increase the bass and treble on the Arc, or leave that alone and only up the bass on the sub mini? Should I set music to ambient or full? Please give me a complete list of optimal config settings and I will be very appreciative! Thank you in advance

Hi Everyone, My surround sound system is not working when tv is first turned on. The work around is to unplug the TV after it has been turned and plug it back and only then the surround sound would work. I have changed HDMI  a couple time, problem persist. Also, I would ensure that the output is set correctly. The surround sound works fine with music from when using the Sonos app.  I have two Era 300, two subwoofers gen 4, and one arc ultra.  Thanks.  

Hi everyone,I recently moved into a new apartment that provides internet for each unit via AT&T Community WiFi. I have my own unique password to access the internet, but I’m running into issues setting up my Sonos system.I have a Sonos Arc and two Sonos One speakers, which I’m trying to use as surrounds. However, they won’t connect properly, and I suspect the issue is related to the internet setup. Here are some additional details:The apartment’s Ethernet ports do not work. I was told that when the building’s internet was set up, the wiring was not labeled, so it would be a long process to get them functional. I’ve tried setting up the speakers over WiFi, but they won’t connect as surrounds. I’m wondering if the issue is due to the shared network environment in the building.Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? Are there any workarounds I can try to get my Sonos system working again? I really miss using them! Also, I am not the best with technology so I feel really screwed here.Th

It has been confirmed that when using two Sonos Ones as rear speakers with Sonos Arc, they operate as 5.1. Hi, just set up a new LG OLED C4 with my new Beam gen 2.when I configured system initially it didn’t work (just Beam and Sub) until I spotted in Sonos app beam needed to connect to tv. I then added 2 x play 1 as surround speakers. Now the eARC hdmi on TV is not being seen by the Beam.  any suggestions?

So I have a strange one. I have added my remote control to my playbar by doing the remote control setup.it learns my remote volume and mute buttons successfully. In fact it successfully recognises my remote just by pressing volume up.Once setup is complete when I press volume up, it doesn’t work. No indicator light, nothing. Even through it successfully just learned the remote. Weirdly, volume down works fine.I have even used other random remotes and taught it random buttons for vol up, vol down and mute. And it accepts and learns them fine. But again, when I actually press the exact volume up button after successful completion it doesn’t work. Any ideas?

I have been trying for some time now different hdmi cables (including the stock cable that came with arc ultra), system options in horizon ultra proyector and sonos app, I own an arc ultra and sub4. So far this xgimi projector model is supposed to support Atmos in its eArc output but no luck yet. Is there anyone in community who could confirm my suspicion or possibly share some feedback on how to make this setup deliver Atmos? Thanks a lot.

I have a 2024 Samsung Frame TV with a Sonos Arc. the HDMI is in the correct socket. (3rd HDMIarc). question is: When I mirror a movie to the TV from computer the TV defaults to TV sound. the Sonos is disconnected, can’t run mirrored movie sound through Sonos Arc? Moderator edit: Changed “Sonos Arc Beam” to “Sonos Arc” for clarity

Brand new Sony Bravia KD65X77L I connected my Arc, 100 surrounds and mini, everything was working fine after the normal connection issues were ironed out. Arc connected to earc HDMI and cable box connected to HDMI 1. No sound issues when streaming or casting but when watching cable the sound would cut out at times especially when changing channels. I spoke with Sonos numerous times always changing one setting then testing, nothing worked. I was able to send a diagnostic both when the sound was working and not working. From Sonos I was told I had an, ARC Status: Broadcast Blocked, error.After contacting Sony support I changed some settings and have had no issues so far.Here are the settings that worked.Sonos had originally had me set to Pass Through and Auto neither worked, PCM did.In the lower picture I changed all three settings from Standard to Enhanced. Hope this helps someone   

I just purchased the speaker Sonos Era 300 and I tried to connected with my Sony TV ( on parallel with the TV’s speakers) without result. It looks like that I have to choose if I want to play from TV’s speakers or from ERA 300 via bluetooth.I would like to ask what could be the possible options to connect and play on parallel with the TV’s speakers.Is the only option to purchase a Sonos soundbar, connected with the TV with HDMI and then from the application of Sonos configure as a multi speaker? 

Added a beam 2 to my Sony a80j. Connected using supplied hdmi cable via eARC output.  Immediately had annoying audio sync issues. Have restarted everything (tv, soundbar, cable box) multiple times with no difference. Have played with audio settings on tv to no effect.  Problems are only when watching cable tv (Arris TiVo box). Streaming apps on tv seem to work fine. Can sometimes fix cable issues with Dialogue Sync on Sonos app but it’s never perfect and issues vary by channel. Plus have to adjust sync on app every time I switch to streaming.  After several weeks of this I am very close to removing the beam altogether and accepting it is a complete waste of money. I’ve tried all settings on tv but is there an agreed upon best set of settings? Is there anything I can change in the cable box settings? Any other suggestions welcomed.  Current tv settings fyi (have tried multiple combinations)av sync autoeARC autodigital audio out PCMpass through mode auto 

Trying to install Arc Ulta for first time.  Go to step in install were wanted to connect with my WiFi network.  Connection failed, so tired wired connection with same results.  Did factory reset.  Same results.  Any suggestions?
