Music cuts out on the playbar only, not on any other Sonos product. *Can’t edit my spelling on topic heading* 😩

Really need more information, we are just users and can't look at your setup. If you can't provide more details then CALLING  Sonos support, who can see them, is your best bet.

Yes, this forum doesn’t allow us to change the title or first post…

To help you with your problem, it would be great to have more information, like the model you own, and the streaming service you’re using.

Gosh I wouldn’t have a clue on the model. Let’s just say it’s about 8 years old.

I suppose that it’s a Sonos bar at least 😅

Here there are people more skilled than me, because probably this product doesn’t fit with the new app and you have to use the S1. But I don’t know, in this case, how can you use it together with other Sonos speakers.

Just for clarification…Sonos only made one Playbar there are no models of progression. The Playbar was optical connection only no HDMI. To be completely clear there was a variation called the PlayBASE. Other than the shape the connection was also optical only and no HDMI.

BTW… both models have been discontinued for over 5 years.

So @Suz_eq do you have a Playbar, Playbase or an Arc, Arc Ultra, Beam, Beam 2 or Ray?

It’s definitely the playbar. I’ve tried resetting it at my end and moved the internet modem next to it so it has better connection. I might have to get Sonos to do their thing at their end. If no luck, looks like I’m getting a new playbar for Xmas 😜

No new Playbars, you might find a used one.

An Arc (being discontinued) or Arc Ultra would be good replacements.

As a random comment ‘right next to’ doesn’t ensure a better connection, it can, or due to the nature of radio signals, it can’t. But cutting out likely has more to do with the TV set sending data across the optical connection than it does with the internet connection. You may want to check the TV for updates.
