I have a New Qled Samsung TV and have purchased a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and a Sub Mini, all great but I’ve been having a issues with the Sonos disconnecting and reverting the TV back to TV speaker.I also have a 4K Amazon Firestick and suspicious it is this causing the conflict.The Sonos is connected to the HDMI - e Arc (3) and the Firestick is connected to HDMI 2.I’ve read that others on here have had this or similar problems and disabled CEC on the Amazon Firestick, I’ve done this now and hope it cures it.I did try the supplied Optical to HDMI cable as an alternative connection but the body seems to be a bit too big to connect it correctly to the TV and couldn’t get it to work.Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Hi all, I’m at my wits end with this ongoing problem. I’ve done the standard troubleshooting below which works HOWEVER whenever I turn the TV off at the end of the day and go to turn it back on to use it later or whenever the problem starts up again, communication failure etc. Really shouldn’t have to be doing this every time I want to use my system or watch a movie or game. Any help would be greatly appreciated. All my other devices work perfectly with my TV, the ARC is plugged into the E/ARC port and everything is configured correctly with Bravia Sync. Disconnect everything from the TV and unplug the Arc and TV from power for a couple of minutes. Plug everything back in but keep everything disconnected. Make sure Bravia Sync is enabled in the TV settings. Run TV Setup in the Sonos app and follow the app instructions. Since installing the Sonos Beam 2 I have had a few incidents where the LG OLED TV switches itself on at random times. This seems to coincide with the Virgin Internet being disrupted? Is this a known 'feature' and how do I stop it happening?

hola buenos dias , soy nuevo en el foro y quisiera saber por favor si alguien me puede ayudartengo una barra de sonido beam 2 conectada por cable a mi tv hasta ahi genial, pero ahora lo que quiero es sacar el sonido tambien por el proyector a traves de un fire stick 4k y no soy capaz de conseguirlo inalambricamente , alguna idea por favorgracias 

The Samsung Remote suddenly stoped working (28/9/23). Worked for years, 2021 Samsung Q90 tv. Tried changing battery in remote, and factory reset Playbar without luck. Was able to change volume a few times, and also re-connect in the app. But now it’s nothing. Also tried deleting universal remote and setting it up again.  any body els experience this? 

My sonos soundbar is since recently having issue’s with heavy bass. Wondering if this can be caused by a software update, don’t think that the woofer is blown up as most of the bass sounds ok. Only when playing certain movies I get a “funky” sound which is most likely the best described as Bass distortion. 

Hello all, I have an Arc connected via eARC to a LG TV, an Apple TV and have added 2 Sonos Ones as surround speakers. What I’ve noticed is that DD5.1 content (streamed) is extremely vibrant and makes fantastic use of the surround speakers, whereas Atmos content (streamed) does not by comparison, the surround speakers seem to only output musical effects, but don’t seem to be part of the soundstage. Am I missing a setting, or is this expected?Thanks,Ian

J'ai téléchargé l'application Sonos et fait le nécessaire pour la connexion de la barre de son. L'application me propose une mise à jour, celle-ci s'effectue mais à la fin j'ai un message d'erreur 1001 m'indiquant un défaut de réseau. J'ai testé sur 3 réseau wifi différents et en Ethernet, le défaut est le même. J'ai également redémarré mon routeur et la Beam, même chose, impossible de finaliser la mise à jour de la barre de son. Quelqu'un aurait une solution, s'il vous plaît ? Merci d'avance !

Hi, I’m a film maker in south east london who has been a starved of home cinema for too long and desperately needs your help! I wonder if you can help answer my questions or point me to the right threads. For a long time I had the original apple tv with optical audio out going through a little powered connecting box before going into the original (now defunct) Sonos white and grey Amp. There was always intermittent issues that we overcame much to the frustration of my wife! However I’ve just purchased a new Apple TV box which doesn’t have an optical out and feels like i need to get a new Amp to replace the old one which doesn’t work on the new Sonos app. Could you recommend in baby language what system components you think i need to get to play movies from a projector. I have pair of sonos speakers and the Sub. Do i just have to rely on hdmi for sound now? is that a major downgrade? do I need an amp? Thankyou in advance! 

First off let me say I’ve personally installed 4 or 5 Arc+Sub Gen 3 systems so I know what it should sound like and am aware what performance to expect from the sub. I’m Just not getting it on my system.My typical configuration is Arc + Connect: Amp (surrounds) + SubVery low output from the sub. Doesn’t matter the source (TV eARC, Airplay, or native music in Sonos app)To even hear it the slightest it had to be turned up to at least +8I’ve factory reset everything (Arc, Amp, & Sub) to no avail. So I tried an experiment. I removed the sub and amp from the Arc and made the Connect: Amp it’s own room. I connected the sub to it and WOW! You can feel the bass. It’s the way it should sound. So I go back in and create my surround setup again by connecting the sub back to the Arc and making the Connect: Amp the surrounds. Sub back to its old ways. Very low output. So the sub clearly works. It’s not placement, it’s not poor Wi-Fi. It works correctly with other Sonos products, just not with t

I am planning to set up a 5.1 surround system for my TV. I have a Beam 2nd Gen a Play 3, a Play 5 2nd Gen and Connect Amp. For the rear speakers should I use my Connect Amp and a couple of speakers or buy a second hand Play 3  and have 2 Play 3s as my rear speakers ?

Hi everyone , I do have a beam gen2 , 2 x Era 100 and sub mini and would like to change the Era100’s with 2 x Era 300I do like to listen to music sometimes and I feel like the Era100s are little low on my expectations.do you think that Era 300s would be a good choice considering to use them mainly as reers and in some cases to use them as stereo pair only for music and do you think I would notice the difference compared to ERA 100.shoud I really upgrade ? appreciate your answers for this 

Living room with arc sub 2 sl’s, office with an era 300.  Era 300 disappears from iPhone app. Have restarted router and speakers, still happens. Switch off iPhone and switch it on again makes it come back. Is odd, am currently restarting my iPhone multiple times a day just to get the era 300 to appear in the Sonos app

Hello, I have sonos arc bass and 2 ones , perfect 5.1 .i have recently sorted atmos via the arcana but to be honest can’t see any difference (hear)my arc is below the tv and sticks out so the sound can travel upwardswhats the best settings on the app please maybe I’ve got those wrong?cheers jon

I recently just purchased the Beam Gen2, and my current setup is a projector screen in my basement.  I’m trying to avoid having to run wires behind my wall, so I’m wondering if the placement of the Beam is crucial for the sound?Im considering mounting it above the screen, just below the rafters, as this would make this an easier project by being able to run wires through the rafters.  I purchased the Sonos mount, so this wouldn’t allow me to angle it downward.What should I do? 

Hi Guys i have an open kitchen/living. The right of my era 300 (rear) is kinda in a corner while my left is open with only a wall at the back cause it basically in the midde of the room. It sounds the sound on the right (rear) is more dominant. Is there a solution to this ?

It seems that a lot of Arc customers have problems with the Arc when you play Dolby Atmos contents. I am one of those.I have tried all the twerks suggested by other customers in this Forum without success. I am aware that many had a replacement but in my case it was denied by the support team.They are aware of the problem but they told me that from the diagnostic that I’ve sent the soundbar doesn’t have any software/hardware problem.I was going to buy a couple of new Era 300 as Dolby Atmos surround compatible, but now I’m not that sure anymore considering the clicks and pops during the show or worse when it stops playing.I’ve been very happy with Sonos through the years, but now I’m not that impressed.Is there anyone with new twerks to try or how can I get a working Arc with Dolby Atmos?Thanks anyway

I have a Beam Gen 2 connected to a Roku TCL TV. The Beam blocks the IR sensor of the TV. I followed the instructions for “Remote Control Setup”, but the TV only responds to the volume up / down / mute commands from the remote. The TV does not respond to play / pause / menu toggles.What do I need to do for the Beam to pass through these other commands?I’m hoping for a solution other than “raise the TV”, which is what I’ll do if nothing else works. I have a Samsung Q950 tv with a dedicated eARC HDMI.My tv apps like Netflix and Disney+ detect that I have Atmos supported hardware and when I play something, it works flawlessly.On my consoles like the Xbox Series X and PS5, the sound in game stops for a sec and then resumes.I do have to clarify that on my Xbox I have the Dolby Atmos app installed and on my PS5 I have the latest update that finally supports Atmos.Maybe it’s a setting I have to change on the tv or on my consoles but I’m not proficient enough with every option (or the best).Any advise is MUCH appreciated, have such an expensive setup, and this is annoying.

We just built our dream house and I pre-wired two in wall speakers in our great room with an amp in the basement utility room.  I successfully set up the Beam and Sub combo in our great room and they work fine over wifi, but when I tried adding the amp as a rear surround the app kept failing with the error message “Surrounds couldn't be added. Choose an unused Sonos Amp in Settings > System to finish setup.”After multiple attempts i found several discussions saying the amp had to be physically near by the beam for surround (news to me) so i brought it up into the great room to test and sure enough it came right up and the app paired it as a rear surround.  I took it back downstairs and sure enough it fell back off with ?+? for the rear surrounds.  I found some more discussions that said to wire the beam and amp to ethernet if i needed to have greater distance.  I did have an ethernet available by the beam so plugged it in to test and plugged in the amp and sure enough they popped ri

Most of the questions I see posted are about where to mount the wall mounts. What I would like to know now that I have the speakers level horizontally is there a way to adjust them vertically? In other words they appear to sag where the front is lower than the rear? By the way the Dolby Atmos is absolutely mind blowing!

Hello, I have an sonos playbar which do not power on, i saw this topic:i checked the mainboard inside and it has the same blown chip as on the photo's on the forum.So i replaced it, and turn it on again but the same chip blow again.Do someone know what the problem is?
