I currently have surround sound with a Sonos Arc, a Sonos One and Sonos one SL. Is it possible to add a Sonos Era into the mix? If not, is it worth it to swap the two Sonos one's out for the Era? Any advice appreciated.

How do I use my amplifier with Sonos Beam

I have a Beam gen 2 and 2x SL one with a sub mini as a surround home theatre set up. Just purchased 2x era 300 for a complete surround experience. BUT, I can not seem to connect the era 300 correctly. Can someone please help? Moderator edit: changed all “arc” to “era”

Anyone having issues with a Sonos arc skipping (sound skips for 1-2 seconds?, not having any internet issues with speed or other products. It happens across all streaming platforms. 

Hi All, I have a question for my future setup. currently I am having a surround set. Which is connected with Xbox, Apple TV, TV receiver etc. this than goes to HDMI out which I then split to my TV and Beamer. Depending on which one I want to watch I can watch all inputs and have the audio. how can you achieve this with a sonos setup removing the surround set? Maybe a hdmi arc switch? Looking forward to your input. 

Why isn’t system showing Dolby or pcm?  Not showing any type of description 

Hello, we added a Beam 2 and a Sub Mini to our system this week. Have had the Amp about a year and love it. Last night when watching a movie on Prime there was a loud scene with folks yelling in a court room and suddenly the Beams volume dropped to around half what it was and then returned to where it was. Was 1-2 seconds so I didn’t have time to look at the App. I can’t find any settings or issues in the app. Do I need to exchange the Beam for a new one or anything I can do to be sure it is ok and not a bad unit?

Sometimes, not often, I turn on my TV and I have no sound from the ArcI check the volume and then change sources, turn off the TV, turn it back on again, press a few buttons on the Arc and eventually it clicks but on. I think what actually gets it working again is the Sonos Arc volumne button. But surely the Arc should continue at the same volumne as it was last used or a pre-defined volumne.Also if my TV remote control can adjust the volume why does it not work when I have this problem? TIA

Hi.  I have an arc connected to a Samsung QE60b and sky stream puck connected to tv. I am having issues where the audio cuts out for 2-3 seconds every 15-20 mins. I have tried every different combination on audio settings on both TV and sky puck and retuned via trueplay but the issue is still there and gets worse on different settings. I’ve read a few similar posts but haven’t found any workaround.  anyone have similar issues and found a solution. 

Hello,recently I started noticing degradation in sound quality on certain frequencies. The problem is it happens on a very certain range, usually sounds like outside traffic, rain or similar. The sound at those frequencies seems to be very compressed, turning almost into white noise. I am still not sure if this is a new problem but I haven’t notice it before. So I would like to test it somehow and wonder if there are any ways to test it so I can pinpoin it and be sure the problem is trully on the speaker side and not in the source. Do you know some good sources that will let me test the sound range and its quallity?

Can I connect Sonos arc direct to Apple 4K TV, or does it need to connect via TV using HDMI/arc?

My volume goes in and out randomly not sure why. Both music and tv. Except the soundbar

Hi all, I'm having problems with my sub mini. It is connected via my beam gen 1 which is connected to ehternet with the WiFi still enabled. I also have 2 one sls connected as well. Everything stays connected no problems or issues apart from the sub mini.  It goes offline with a red/orange coloured light. Having watched it tonight it runs and works fine and then all of a sudden the white light starts flashing then eventually goes to red.  I don't think it is over heating etc as I had it running for ages via YouTube off the TV and it ran fine.  I've spoken to sonos support today and they seemingly reset it so everything needed updating and said there was nothing wrong. The sub didn't work after this but it was connected and then started working after I updated it.  It always seems to coincide with watching the TV for some reason, but it's just a Samsung smart TV running emby via an internal app.  In terms of location the beam is wired to the ethernet cable and the sub is about 60cm away

Hello there, I want to set up a movie theater in my big room. so far, I have Arc, two sub and two Era 300 for surround.the question is: what If I want to add the ceiling speaker into it. will it be better included the ceiling speaker?  Looking forward to get the best answer from all of you. thank you!  

So… I’m new to Sonos. I bought an Arc, a Sub Mini and 2 ERA300 6 months ago. The 300 are used as surrounds, in the back wall. I love what I’m hearing. In fact, I had a very good hifi system before and this set up comes pretty close to it. No complaints.But I’m wondering if adding 2 ERA100 on the front wall would give an even better spatial sound for music reproduction. My room is 12x16 and is optimized (treated) for sound repro. Would it be worth the investment to add the 100s?Thanks.

Came back from vacation and started having problems with my Arc.  Plugged into the return HDMI on the TV.  However, the sound only works if I unplug the Sonos before watching TV.Now I noticed that the Arc isn’t in my Sonos app either, the Sonos One’s aren’t paired with it either.The Arc is plugged in via Ethernet.  I unplug the power, hold the join button while plugging the device back in.  Wait for it to be green and go into the app to pair the device.  It never seems to pair.  Trying to figure out what happened and how to fix it.

Hi all,I already read about this topic online but didn’t come up with a definitive answer. I have an arc with surrounds and planning to pair it with a sub mini. I  lknow sonos recommend the sub gen 3 and say that the mini can be paired and work for a small to medium room. Then I read reviews and people saying that the mini is too weak for the arc that already have powerful woofers and the exact opposite with others saying that it’s a perfect match more up to date and more suited for medium small spaces. Other reviews consider the mini more suited for music because it’s sealed design .   II must add that I am not looking for too much base . I Don’t want to disturb neighbours and i usually listen 50% and less my room is 25 to 30 square meters and I think the mini must be enough. But I am wondering if I may be disappointed with the mini not adding enough oomph

I changed my wifi about 2 weeks ago. Managed to go through and reconnect my Beam and one of my One SL surrounds. For some reason, the Sub and the other SL surround won’t connect to wifi. I’ve been through the steps in the app, typed the wifi password, connected the One SL to the router but it still can’t connect to the network. I’ve even tried setting the whole thing up as a new system but I’m still stumped.  Can anyone point me in the right direction please

I am having trouble getting surround sound to work properly with my system. The system:PS5 for gaming, YouTube, streaming services like Netflix and Amazon PrimeBenQ TK700 4K Gaming projector - Supports eARC with Dolby Atmos & 7.1 pass throughSonos Beam gen 1 with 2 Sonos Ones as surrounds.PS5 is connected to projector with HDMI cable that came with PS5. I also have a new ARC compatible HDMI cable going from AUDIO RETURN output of the projector to my Beam.The Sonos system will play audio just fine but doesn’t seem like I am getting proper surround sound. Sometimes I hear what sounds like 2 channel audio coming from the system. And other times I don’t hear anything at all coming from the rears. Why is this? My Beam gen 1 is the only device that isn’t Dolby Atmos compatible. Will I solve the problem by upgrading to a gen 2 Beam?

Has anyone had trouble connecting Samsunf QN85 to a Sonos Amp?I just upgraded from a Samsung Qled 70" to a Samsung 75" QN85. I tried connecting the same HDMI to my Sonos Amp but I am getting a message on the Samsung 75" tv "Your audio device is connected to a port that does not support ARC. Please connect your device to the HDMI3 (Arc) port." I ensured it was installed in hdmi 3 port. I followed all the protocols to activate arc through the menu and turned on CEC. I've factory reset it and turned on arc different ways. The screen recognizes the sonos amp hdmi but it flip flops between tv speakers and the sonos. It plays sound on the tv speakers but no sound on the sonos. The tv diagnostic recommended to switch hdmi cables so I did so. No change. And it continued to flip flop. I tested all the wires with an hdmi tester and they all passed. I bought a sonos beam to connect to the hdmi 3 and connected with no issues. It just wont connect to the Sonos amp. EXCEPT I connected a sonos optica

Sub says connected but no sound. Occasionally I can restart the sub and it will connect, but then loses connection.  20233538
