Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have a Bose SoundTouch Airplay (first generation speaker). I can group all my Sonos speakers except the Era 300 using Airplay from a current Mac running Apple Music.  The Bose and other speakers will play but the Era 300 will not. If I drop the Bose Soundtouch off, then the Era 300 will play music. This used to work. The Era 300 used to play nice. So I feel like this is an Era 300 firmware problem. I’ve set routers and power cycled and the like.

I use both Sonos 1 and 2 apps depending upon equipment played.  The Sonos 1 app sorts albums in the music library.  The Sonos 2 app sorts albums based upon artist.  The problem is that any album containing different artists for different tracks causes multiple listing of the same album in the music library - once for each track with different artists.  I have a multi-disc set with over over 100 tracks, each with a different artist.  As a result, there are 100 listings of the album in the music library when viewing the list of albums (In the Sonos 1 app, there is only one listing of this album).  Is there any way to get the Sonos 2 app to sort in the same way as the Sonos 1 app?

I've been trying to get this thing added for days and nothing works. I've done reset after reset. Tried physically connecting it through Ethernet (I'm tech savvy, I have gigabit Internet with a solid router). I can get the setup to find the sub and begin the process of adding it. When I lay my phone on top of it, it recognizes it. Then, it's just stuck on this with no end in sight. The two times it's gotten past this, it asks me for my WiFi password and then failed to connect. I tried both my 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz SSIDs. Sonos, what gives?! 

I have a worrying problem here - since yesterday, I have only been able to get sound via Airplay (very important for how I listen to music) in my Hallway (Symfonisk bookshelf), Bedroom (2x Symfonisk lamps),and Sonos Roam. ALL of them are wired via ethernet (except Roam).My other speakers are Kitchen (2x Play:1), Shower Room (Play:1) and Living Room (Sonos Connect: AMP Gen 2 into stereo).   All Ethernet wired.  I simply cannot get any sound from any of these, but yesterday they were completely fine.  When I connect to Airplay the usual way, the Sonos app displays that there are selected, but there is simply no audio coming through.  Surely an update can’t have killed these older speakers for me in an instant?When I transmit audio from within the Sonos app itself, every speaker is reached as normal.  However I NEVER use the app - I’m completely dependant on Apple’s music app for local files and playlists.  I need to broadcast via Airplay.  It’s like all three of them have just decided to

Living Room contains Amp/in-ceiling speakers, Sub & Arc via HDMI (eArc/Arc). Is there a setting so I can watch TV video & have Sonos audio playing? Have same setting question for Beam (eArc/Arc) configuration.Can’t find product versions, but system was installed May 2023.Thanks

My status lights are turned off in my app, but they seem to be on on my speaker. Any suggestions?

Hi there.  My Arc is connected to the HMDI ARC on my tv, but no matter hwat i’ve tried i cannot get it to output 5.1.  Netflix/prime/tv etc. Sound works fine but the app keeps saying its playing in stereo.  I have tried using the optical adapter as well - same issue. the DD option in the TV menu is greyed out and “PCM”  is the only option I can use.  I’ve even tried using an hdmi switcher which changed nothing.  TV and Arc and the app are all on their latest software version.  Tried multiple HDMI cables, sources, etc.  Thoughts?

I am so disappointed by the fact that I can’t have a single system (fitting my apartment size) that allow me to take full advantage of both home theatre as well as music playing capabilities of the devices I own.I would argue creating a toggle shutting down the soundbar is doable in this time and age, but from what I have read in the forums. It clearly is not. having gone over a vast number of threads these solutions seem like an amazing option to create an alternative for those of us who either for financial is logistical reasons cannot afford to keep additional 2 or more speakers at home.Please, consider this an upvote to what’s most likely has already been posted. I am playing an Apple Music playlist on my Sonos.  On the now playing screen it shows the song and that the source is Apple Music, but, it does not say what the playlist is.  It’s not one that I’ve created or else I’d be able to identify it.   Does anyone know how I can possibly identify the playlist? UPDATE: I tried looking at my recently played and although the playlist is playing right now, it does not appear in my recently played. Moderator edit: Combined posts

I’m trying to help my senior with poor eyesight to control her TV (with Bell Fibe service) using voice commands with an ARC capable Sonos speaker.  I understand that Alexa or Google voice commands can turn the TV on or off and control the volume output but I’m looking for more control.  Channel selection, TV Bell Fibe guide display, input switching, etc.   Possible?   

Hi I have not been able to play one of my usual stations since the Autumn that is on Tunein.  A quick search on here lead me so multiple posts on here talking about the SONOS  app update at the time and one poster helpfully quoted below comment form SONOS explaining the issue was due to some stations having geographical restrictions??”We are aware of there being issues with certain radio stations not working, due to geographical stream locks. We are looking into it and we will provide updates as soon as we have any.”Has anyone heard if there is an update on this?  I have deleted the stations from my favourites - deleting and reinstalling the Tune in App and the SONOS app, resetting my broadband etc - everything I could think of - to no avail. Im in the UK and that stations I’m most bothered about is just my local town community station.  Whenever I try to play it - I get the Welcome to Tune in opening and then one advert - then nothing - until that loops and play again.  Can anyone hel

I don’t pay for Apple Music but have a large library within of my music. Sonos won’t let me play it.

I intend to connect my current 3rd party amplifier and two passive speakers to a Sonos Port. If I connect a Sonos subwoofer to the Port and place it in the same room with the passive speakers will there be a latency/delay issue between the wired and wireless speakers?

Have an old Play:5 that I control using the S1 app from my iPhone SE3 (latest version 11.5.2). My wife would like to be able to control it from her phone too, so we installed the latest Sonos S1 app on her iPhone 16. No matter what I’ve tried, the app on her phone cannot find the Play:5, despite my phone seeing it fine.Tried all the usual stuff re-installing, double checking we are all on the same wifi network etc. But nothing. Seems really strange, what’s going on?

Your product is absolut trash. Spent 3 days trying to connect the sub mini to my beam. Packing it up and returning. Product is trash, customer service is trash, support is trash(spent 2 1/2 hours with them) and the company is trash.Should have listened  to all the bad reviews. I have done all your steps at least 20 times. I have a Bose system in my living room and it literally took 10 minutes to get it up and running. As my patience for sonos is running thin and this latest issue has me in a melt down. Looking for some feedback/therapy lol. SonosNet will stay as my primary connection as I still believe it to be for less problematic then random wifi and Sonos’s new tech support stance of blaming our routers and not helping. after the last update my boost is hardwired and shows as connected but no speakers are connected. If I hardwire any one speaker they all show up. I tried resetting the boost and adding it again and though it shows up on the device list, as soon as I unplug the Ethernet from the speaker the devices all vanish except for then boost.  In the years of circumventing issues I’ve never seen this one.  Sonos advice was I need to reset my entire system. I started with easy to access speakers but they will not add to the boost based system. Any thoughts?  

era 100 does it need a power connection

I have  2 home theatre set ups.  1 in basement with Sonos arc, Sonos sub and 2 era100s. The other is the family room with sonos soundbar and Sonos sub. Can a different show/movie be watched in each zone at same time with Sonos sound ?thx Gordo 

2 amps show on the app w the sound slider grayes out and no sound coming out. How do I fix this ? 

My current setup is Play Bar, Sonos One, and Sonos One SL as rear.  (Previous 2 Sonos One but I do not need 2 voice control in the same room, and same issue before switching too)Network setup is Eero 6 mesh, and TV is LG 75UK6190PUB.  Currently no devices are connected via Ethernet, as Sonosnet was awful in a multi dwelling apartment where Wifi is VERY saturated.  (With sonosnet half of my speakers are always offline… I have concrete walls in my apartment and Sonosnet was just not penetrating no matter how many nodes we add.  For context, I had bought 2 Sonos Boost to no effect whatsoever) When watching anything in Dolby Digital 5.1, the surround system goes awry in a few minutes - Playbar and Rear are still in sync but sound is stuttered.    Resetting the TV (unplugging from wall) seems to be the only fix.  But problem usually comes back within the next 10 minutes.Are there any fix?

It has taken a while for me to start using my Move 2.First it would not update (before first use). It kept saying there was a problem connecting to my Wifi. Even though the other 50 products in the house work properly. I had to go to someone else his house to use their Wifi which worked immediately.  When I got back home the Move 2 needed to be added to my account. Which then also failed at my home. After creating a new account (and multiple tries) it finally added the Move 2 to my second account.  Now the Move 2 is visible in the app and can be used, BUT it keeps saying “Not registered”. This way I can’t see the battery level or access the settings.  It did work for a brief moment (after using a method from another user = logging out in the app, resetting the app and logging in again). But after a few minutes it said “Not registered” again and the previous method does not help anymore.  I’m out of ideas because I have tried literally everything (reboots, resets, factory resets, app re

Roam needs wifi connection before switching to bluetooth ? Why does it not connect by using mobile internet. Confused. I want to use in caravan but wifi not always available. Any assistance woll be appreciated. Thanks .

Hi everyone, and apologies in advance for my stupidity, but getting very confused…We have just bought a new house which has ceiling speakers installed in the kitchen. The previous owner of the house advised that you needed an amp in order to play them. Thinking I was being smart, I took a photo of the amp (Sonos Connect:Amp Gen 2) that the previous owner had, and bought one thinking that would do the trick!However, I am mystified on how to connect it. The speakers have loose wires that go into the cupboard that the amp is housed in, but there is no way that I can see to connect to the amp. I read on the Sonos site that they should connect using banana plugs so I ordered some off the Sonos website but they are too big for the holes at the back. What am I doing wrong and how do I connect my speakers and play music?!? Grateful for any advice any of you can offer!  

I have a Beam 2 connected via HDMI(eARC) to a TV and a single Era 100. Both are on the same wireless network. If I group the speakers together, I only get TV audio out of the Beam. If I play music on the Sonos app, they both play flawlessly in sync.I've tried associating them in the same room and as separate rooms. The app acts like it's playing on both speakers when I group them. Is this just not possible in this configuration?
