Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

 Some songs come through really loud and others quiet. I believe this has something to do with dynamic range compression & mastering. I think the spotify app allows this as an option if using airplay. I see that Sonos doesn’t have this currently. They have volume limit, but thats not what I’m looking for. Any ideas if this is a future feature or how to request this as one?Note: I’ve seen other topics related to NOT wanting volume normalization and/or respecting meta tags from other sources. But, this question is more about an option to auto apply volume normalization across music and services. This way regardless of how the song is mastered all songs will be roughly at the same volume level. Its exhausting having to change the volume when different songs play on a playlist either from a music service attached to sonos or from a sonos playlist.

Hi, I just got my ace and I like it. But it has a small problem: it cannot remember the volume setting. Each time I turn on it and connect to my iPhone it will go back to 50% volume, not matter the level in the last use. My comfortable volume is 30% so I need to adjust it each time I use it.Do anyone know how to fix it? Thx.

Hello Sonos Community.  This is my first post, and its a question I am hoping someone else has solved already.  My system:Arc Sound BarEra 300 x 2Gen 3 SubApple TV 4KSony Bravia 8 (K-77XR80) I am looking to use the eARC HDMI port on my TV with my Apple TV, however from what I understand I have to use that port for my Sonos sound system as well.  Meaning I have one port, and I need two on the TV. Does any one know of or can recommend an eARC Extender(Does that exists)?  I am hoping there is such a thing so I can plug the Apple TV HDMI cable and the Sonos HDMI cable into the same eARC port on the Sony TV.I am wanting to get the most from the Apple TV as far as sound / video goes and I cannot do that if the Sonos System is using the only eARC port on the TV. Thoughts? Thanks,Daze (Jeff)

My kitchen Sonos One SL which worked for 4 years mostly without issue, has just started losing connection to wifi while the other half of the stereo pair (another Sonos One SL) continues to play. Swapping places, changing rooms, even wired over LAN, the problem continues. At times it breaks the app and the entire room they’re in completely drops from the app. Sonos team on X (Twitter) are gracious, even DM me at all hours, but some of the call center techs are argumentative and give me bad troubleshooting advice about this issue.  BTW I also have a Sonos Ultimate immersive Set (Arc+Sub3+dual Era 300s) that play without issue on the same WiFi. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated and welcomed. Thank you.

Bonjour, à ce jour j’ai une sonos Five pour recevoir l’input du son de mon vidéo projecteur et ensuite le link avec mes One SL je vais déménager et je ne pourrais pas avoir la place pour ma Five donc je me demande si je prends une era 100 et que je mettes l’input sur celle ci, cela fonctionnerait  je pensais prendre une era 300 pour garder cet impact de son mais elle serait dans une niche donc cela créerait une réverbération beaucoup plus élevée qu’une 100 merci d’avance pour votre réponse !

I’m upgrading my surrounds from Sonos one SL to eras 300. I used to invert my Sonos one SL when they were mounted (following sanus guide). But I’ve been reading that there is no need to invert them.  Should I invert my eras 300 based on my living room photos?  Am I supposed to angle the eras 300 towards the listener(tilt down) or towards the tv (straight)? 

Most posts on the forum are to do with issues and complaints.  I thought I’d write a positive post (for once).  Whilst the app is still not perfect and there’s still missing functionality (often adding a song to the queue or play next results in an error even though it works!), I’m finding it much more stable.For my particular case, even before the new app caused so many issues, I had connectivity issues resulting in delays between stopping/starting music and not finding speakers temporarily.  I’ve noticed over the last few months that these issues have reduced massively.  Speakers are no longer getting “lost”.  Pressing play/pause is generally reactive, as is the volume control.  It feels now I have a system that is usable and I don’t have to play music via spotify connect each time (it means I can now play music from my library!)I’m hoping this stability continues - having had sonos speakers for over a dozen years where they “just worked”, I’d be glad to get back to

Recently bought a house with the in-ceiling speakers (Sonos architectural by sonance) in my living room. I was excited to get my surround sound setup when I was told that it would not work because I have my AMP wired into my master closet. What can I get to have the speakers in the living room work as surround sound. I’m aware I’ll probably need to buy other speakers but I wanted to get this for a Father’s Day gift. 

Renovating and planning to use this room on the top floor as home theatre.The sofa has to be located where it is. There is no moving it!I was going to place two ERA 100s (maybe 300s, but I think 100s better suited for room size here) on stands at both ends of the sofa for surround (wall in front has tv, Arc and sub4). But this poses two challenges:The room isn't big and I would rather leave the sofa attached to the back wall - which means the ERAs on stand would be in line with the sofa, rather than a few inches behind it. I understand this is not optimal. Is it still a better option than not having them at all. As shown on the rendering, on the left of the sofa I have this very low, slanted ceiling which doesn't really give me much room for a stand. There is a console table on that side. Would it be stupid to be one of the 100s low on that console, and the other one on a stand on the right??Where would you put surrounds?Also, t

I have Samsung tv and Sonos play bar. And play 1 speakers. They used to work perfectly as surrounds but no longer work. I just get garbled noise from the surrounds and in the app once the tv room shows

I have the original Sonos Soundbar and a pair of original Play: 1’s and i’m happy with the set up. I also have an original Play: 3. I am considering upgrading to the Sonos Arc Ultra, a Sub and new Era 100’s as I’m purchasing a new Samsung Frame TV in the main living area but I wanted to understand whether a Sonos upgrade is worth it from a sound quality perspective. Any advice appreciated. I was looking at just the Sonos Arc Ultra but i understand the original Play: 1’s might not be compatible with the Arc Ultra. Not sure if thats entirely accurate. Thanks

Has anyone been succesful in disabling the WiFi on their speakers?Most of the speakers in my system I can connect with ethernet (With the exception of a few that need to go over wireless). I want to disable the WiFi on each of the speakers that are wired. This is to prevent a SonosNet to be created, which would then force the speakers that need to be wireless to connect to this network, which I do not want as it does not work well, and I have plenty of WiFi coverage around the house using a few AP’s. A few years ago, I’m sure this worked, but it no longer seems to.After plugging the the ethernet, I go in the connection settings and I select the disable WiFi option. On my Ubiquiti wireless controller, I can see that the WiFi Sonos speakers join my wireless, but after a few minutes they disconnect. When I go check the speaker where I just disabled the WiFi, it seems to toggle itself back on (Which then creates a Sonos WiFi that any other speaker connect to).I’ve t

Hi. My Sonos system doesn’t automatically turn on when I switch the TV on. The only way I can get it to turn on is to reboot my TV ( Sony Bravia). Any suggestions as to how I can rectify this please.

Today I go to play Anghami on my Sonos 1 app not the S2 as at home I have some older components but it said that Anghami is longer available. I thought it was a bug and removed it but then I went back to add it where I found out that it is not available to add as a music service in the Sonos app. Any idea on how to proceed with this problem??????

Hi,i have just taken delivery on ARC Ultra and two Era 300 and I’m trying to figure out where best to place these two speakers. See below pictures of my room layout,  it’s quite narrow so I’m not overly keen to move the sofa forward.i was thinking of using wall mounts and placing them in the circles showing below,  but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Also, is it best to get a wall mount for the ARC ?  

I have a pair of play1’s and a play bar. My system sounds beautiful, put im thinking of adding a sub.  My question is.  Do you think I would benefit from from it. 

Hello everyone, I am pretty sure I am not the only one who is disappointed with the app that controls our beloved speakers. Personally I am super pleased with the quality of the sound, the design and the materials that were used to build the box. BUT not so much with the App. So instead of complaining, I would like to open a topic that would maybe help the Sonos App developers to find the right path. I would like to list the things that I think (from my experience) needs improvement.On iPhone App:Volume control! I have to touch 5 times at least to hit the right spot to move the scroller! And when I do the volume jumps instead of smoothly scrolls. Also the lower end of the slide is more sensitive and controls more volume than the upper end. I need a more sensitive lower end control!The vertically sliding tabs. Way too complex. I am an GUI and UI and UX designer and I personally find it difficult to manage

Hi everyone,Is anyone else struggling with the new app…I’ve just upgraded my internet to 450mbs and still it takes my app at least 10 mins to start playing anything!!????Also my Era100 surrounds and sub keep dropping out then on again randomly…any advice would be appreciated!!Ive had SONOS for about 7 years now and I’m really considering taking it out of the house as it’s so frustrating at the moment!!🫣😡😡

I had a Beam Gen 2+ 2x Era 300+ Sub Gen 2 all paired and working fine. this week I bought a new Arc Ultra to replace the Beam. I managed to set up the Arc Ultra and Connect Era 300s and the Sub on the App. however, the Eras and Sub are not working - no sound when I play TV. Sound is only coming from the Arc. 

Has anyone found, created or known a way to play the YouTube music video in the Sonos app to be able to enjoy the video in The computer application while enjoying the music with the Sonos system?

Hi there Just got 2 ERA 300 to play my surrounds with the Arc But got a problem when trying to sync pair the Sub Gen 2: it seems i can only pair the sub or the era 300 but not both. The sub is detected but when i try to add to either the arc or the room system, it saying added after a waiting time (2 or 3min), it doesnt show connected or paired (not assigned)Even doing factory reset with Era or Sub, same issue.People told me it might be the sonos app 2 that having hard time with android phone or it could be something else. Need help Thanks
