Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hello, friends, comrades! In your learned opinion, which streaming service works best with Sonos Era 300, specially in sound quality, adaptability, etc? Thanks in advance

For several months my speakers have been unusable.The android app crashes immediately on loading and has been updated multiple times. I no longer use this. At this stage I would just like to be able to play something on my speakers with the desktop app.The desktop app has virtually no options available and notifies me I need to update. It does seem to “see” the speaker but I can’t control it in any way. When I try this I always get the error 1101.I have turned off all of my 7 speakers except one play 1 which is cabled into my router. My laptop is also connected by cable to the router. It runs Windows 10.I have tried everything I can think of and everything I have seen on these forums. Multiple power off and on and ensured no firewall or other wifi settings are blocking the sonos application. It seems the application can never connect to the sonos server to perform the update. I think all my network settings are otherwise correct. Have experimented with band steering on and off, DNS set

Hello,One of my two Era 300s has distorted audio. I initially had a stereo pair. When I noticed the distorted audio, to determine which Era 300 it coming from, I removed the stereo pair and that only one Era 300 had the issue. I tried a factory reset but sounds are still distorted. Any ideas or thoughts?

Hi everyone, I already have a SONOS Beam sound bar in my living room, and I want to add a SONOS Era 100 to it because the living room is connected to a open style kitchen. So, I want to know if is it possible to disable the bluetooth of the Era 100 and only connect to it thru the SONOS App, WiFi and Air Play 2. Does anybody know if it is possible? Thanks in advance, sorry if my English is not the best.

One of the connects is connected to my home theater receiver and the other is connected to a strereo receiver in another room with a turntable.  How can I get music playing on the line-in input to play on the other system?  Both are in the same group. 

i cracked my sonos one gen two open over the weekend once i determined it was dead. i did not notice any burned components so i tested the fuse for continuity. 0. soldered on a 5 amp fuse wire and retested for continuity. success. however, when i plug the speaker in, still dead. any other ideas ?

Hi, I have messaged about this before and you told me that you could see it was an issue for iPhone users only but that it wasn’t a priority. I’d really like it to be fixed, because after all this time it appears to me that it’s not going to be. The issue is that the when I try and ‘continue listening’ a BBC Sounds title it just starts from the beginning.  

In the app Apple Music’s logo just shows an ! I’ve reauthorised the service but still the same! Music plays from Apple Music by where has the logo gone 🥴🤔thanksMD

I have a SonoS One that has not been able to get power.  All the usual troubleshooting is done- multiple known working outlets tried, fully seating power cord, even trying  other known good power cords.   What else can be done to not have a paperweight?  This unit is most likely out of warranty. 

I've just recently upgraded to Arc Ultra with Era 300s and Sub gen 4 going from a Playbar, Sl ones and a gen 2 Sub. Im convinced that my old setup is way louder than the new system. I'm pretty disappointed actually 😕 true play actually turns the whole setup down. I'm familiar with the all the app functions and user settings Eq etc...just hasn't got that punch and loudness that the old system has.To fill in the room I'm putting up 2 Era 100s as a stereo pair and even then I will have a 75ms delay. Just gets worse for me. How can I increase the volume so I can match that of my old system?

I have recently moved home and am setting up my Sonos system again. Before I had no problems at all setting up Sonos to any tv streaming service such as Netflix, prime, Apple TV etc. Now I am on Apple TV and the trailers are being played in Dolby digital 5.1 but the actual programmes are not playing. It says unsupported format.has anybody else had this issue?

I recently purchased a pair of the Sonos Architectural speakers. I noticed my Sonos amp purchased in 2021 does not have the ports to have the speaker wire connected to it.  I have the sonos amp connected to a Yamaha two zone receiver.  Will i be losing performance of the architectural speakers without the sonos amp having the ability to run the outdoor speaker wires to it?  Do i purchase a newer amp which will be able to provide more power to the speakers, or stay with the speakers being powered by the Yamaha receiver.  Presently, i feel the sonos outdoor speakers are underperforming.  They do not have the bass the other sonos speakers have.  

I have an Era 300 and two move 2s. Everything works well (unlike old Bose) except when router needs a reboot, then the Era comes back but the move 2s don’t. Twice I spent hours rebooting and reconnecting the speakers to no avail until TIME became a factor and by next day all was working again. This time I’m not going to bother doing anything and see if the passage of time fixes the issue. The app currently says that all three speakers are playing but the move 2s are silent, on other occasions the app has said “not cconnected” but reconnecting made no difference. Anybody else have this issue? I will report back tomorrow if time fixed it.

With the latest updates using two Sonos ace with the ultra and transferring the sound bar profile to the two ace is now possible and working.Update quick app and firmwares!! Arnaud

Hi,I have a Bluetooth transmitter connected to my turntable and I specifically bought the sonos era 100 to connect it to it. I read another thread regarding customers being able to connect their Bluetooth device to the era 100 but the device doesn’t play any audio (this thread was conveniently closed). I have just had a conversation with customer service and they mentioned that: “the era 100 was not designed for full bluetooth compatibility” ?!!! For whatever that might mean?Is this really the case? Then all the customers should be informed. So what appears to be a common issue I experience is that if I quit the Sonos app on my MacBook Air (Sequoia 15.5), it is a roll of the dice if I can reopen the app and for it to reconnect to my system (2 x Symfonisk speakers in other rooms).It turns out the workaround is to go into System Settings, Privacy & Security, Local Area Network and then to toggle off the setting assigned to Sonos then turn it back on.  THEN it will let me use the controller of my system.  I know it’s not the speakers themselves as they work perfectly well via the app on my phone.Is anyone else experiencing this and why isnt Sonos fixing this?  I sent a diagnostics report to Technical support and the response was that everything is ok.

The playback on my Move keeps stopping, anyone else having this issue ?

Hello … with all the issues last year with the update that caused a LOT of people a LOT of headaches and/or issues with their systems, particularly those of us who still have Play 1 speakers as part of our speaker collection. I myself, have 6 Play 1’s, as well as a Sonos Beam and a Roam (the Roam’s battery died, yay!!). I have been holding off on the update because I was so concerned about either losing functionality and/or issues with my library. So I am on version 16.1 of my controller on my PC (Windows). The app is up-to-date on my iPhone, but once it prompted me to update my system and will not allow me to use it unless I do, I stayed with my PC controller only and like many of you, started using SonoPhone. I mainly control my music on my computer, but the app is helpful at times, obviously. With the Roam battery dying, I replaced the battery and it worked, but there was pops andcrackling in the speaker, particularly on low end. I do not believe I damaged the speaker itself, but wh

For the past few weeks, I am unable to search for songs to play from Youtube Music using the Sonos App. It is happening both on my Android phone and on my iPad app. I get this message “An error occurred with YouTube Music. Try again later.” I have tried removing and re-adding the YouTube music account on the Sonos app but the error remains.All other functions with Youtube Music seems to be working (playing songs from the YouTube Music home menu, mixes, libraries etc.) 

My Sonos One updated to the current release (85.0) and I began having issues with it dropping from my WiFi network. After trying to resolve it, I finally just reset it to factory default and added it back via the iOS app (also the most current version). Note that I'm on iOS 18.5. At first it seemed to not be able to display “Recently played” so I elected to disable the option.  Now I'm trying to reenable it but cannot find the setting anywhere in the app. Hoping someone can direct me where to find that. 

I have owned my Sonos for a number of years, when it works, it is fine, but I have spent, literally, hours and hours trying to figure out why it doesn’t want to play my music collection. I’ll finally get it to play, it’s great for a period, then it starts all over again. I’m about ready to just junk it, and consider it a lesson learned.

I’m experiencing an issue with the touch control on my Arc Ultra soundbar. The microphone (voice control) button on the top panel is extremely unresponsive. Sometimes it works, but other times it only responds once every 10 or so attempts. I’ve confirmed that the microphone switch on the back is turned on, and the Sonos app settings appear normal. Interestingly, it sometimes responds if I press a little harder than a normal touch, which suggests the touch sensor might not be working properly. I’ve already tried cleaning the surface, restarting the device, and changing fingers or touch pressure, but the issue persists. Is this a known issue or a potential hardware fault?

Ok so newer to Sonos. I’ve had a Sonos Playbar soundbar (older non-AirPlay capable) connected to my TV via an optical cable. I wanted the ability to AirPlay to it without turning on the TV so I purchased a set of Sonos Era 100 speakers to 1) add AirPlay functionality and 2) give my entire primary living space synced music.Is there a way to make this AirPlay to all 3 devices automatic? I have it setup in the Sonos App as a group with all 3 devices but to get sound on all 3 devices I have to start music, Then AirPlay to both the Era 100 speakers with the iPhones native AirPlay menu but then I have to go into the Sonos App to add the older Soundbar. Works great once going but hoping I’m missing something that would make it easier. 

Can 2 Sonos accounts coexist under the same  network?The reason I’m asking is because I want to manage my own Sonos system and the kids want to manage their Sonos system
