Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have an original Playbar (paired with a Sub Mini).  Unit is in good shape, and plays music brilliantly.  The problem is TV output delivers very loud rumbling from any reasonable amount of bass (sounds almost like the shelf is vibrating - it isn’t).  It's a new TV, output is optical, and output is set to PCM.  Any thoughts?

I'm having an issue with getting 5.1 (always shows SPDIF Stereo PCM in Sonos app) to work despite having the following equipment:- Beam (gen 1)- Sub Mini- 2x Play 1s I use a nvidia shield for playing media, but unfortunately, my projector does not support audio passthrough or have eARC so I have used a hdmi switch that supports dolby/dts 5.1.I understand that (without replacing my projector or buying an audio extractor) my current set-up won't work for dolby digital or dolby atmos, but it should still support 5.1. Any tips to fix this? Thanks in advance!

I’ve done everything I can think of to get my connected device to be my music folder and it comes back with “unable to connect”. I’ve moved files to where the Music folder on ny hard drive and I get nothing. One thing I noticed is my mac inserts Volumes in place of MacMini (my hard drive),

I have similar issues with my Play:3s dropping out that have been discussed numerous times here.  I only have two Play:3s and put these in a tight location above the kitchen cabinets (play:1s wont fit).  I've read countless trails on network interference, IP addresses, memory issues, and so on.….  I have a significantly large sonos array upstairs (18 individual components in various rooms) and regularly link all these together.  My Play:3s predictably drop in and out of the music stream. I would usually start streaming music through the living room TV (arc ultra + Sub + Era 300 surrounds), then add additional rooms/components to join that living room group.  This is when I hear the Play:3s dropping in and out.Today I started streaming straight into the kitchen (Play:3s).  By themselves with no other components in the group there is no skipping or dropping in and out as seen before when starting in the living room.  I then added the new living room TV components

First before we start, buying another amp is not in question.Current Setup:1x Amp 1x 3rd party Sub, FYI it does work in 4.1 2x 3rd party ceiling, 2x era 100.Problem is the front and back audio need to be swapped I can not find it in the mobile app. Anyone know how to get this working correctly.  

Hi, is anyone else having problems running Trueplay with a Sonos Arc Ultra together with a Sub (Gen 4)? When I run the Arc Ultra on its own, there’s no problem at all. But when I run them together, nothing works. I just get the message that there’s too much background noise — but the room is completely silent. (I’ve tested with several different devices.) Sometimes I get past that, but then it says “Trueplay can’t start”. Does anyone have a solution, or is this an issue with the latest version of the app?

Why can I no longer play Centreforce Radio through TuneIn or Mytuner on my Sonos system.   I am based in the UK and I believe Centreforce Radio is registered in the UK.  It was fine up until two weeks ago.  I am able to airplay from my mobile TuneIn app.

Hello, I’m wondering if this is the expected behavior for changing the surround level slider while listening to Apple Music in Atmos through the Sonos app on an Arc Ultra + Era 300 surround setup. When adjusting the slider, only the volume of the Era 300 outer-facing side drivers get louder/quieter; the inner-facing rear drivers do not have any audible volume change. In essence I can’t actually adjust the volume of the surrounds completely, as half of the surround drivers are at a fixed volume. I also want to clarify that I’m not referring to the height drivers — those are affected by the height slider as expected.

I've followed posts here, there was no solution.And no support from Sonos.I've found out that it happens when streaming from Spotify or another service.However If you play via Sonos app S1, downloaded songs that are on your device, it does not happen, and the intermittent one speaker cut out, is not happening at all What does this mean?Service streaming issues?Any thoughts appreciated 👍

I got a new era 100 to add to my system. Cannot seem to group together my current Play 1 and new era 100. I can group my five Gen 2 with the era 100, but it does not want to group with the Play 1.My Play 1 and five group fine. 

I have an S1 system which contains Play:5 (gen1), Play:1, Play:3 and a Sonos beam. All of these suffers from jittery playback on Sonos radio (more specifically Swedish P3 stream), where it seems to “jump ahead” in the stream (for like .5, 1s) occasionally in the beginning. After an hour or two of playback, this increases and eventually it’s a complete jitter of sound which definitely seems like some sort of buffering problem. Stopping and starting the stream, instantly fixes it, which really makes me think this is a software problem. Question is, are there other out there that experience the same thing?This is also prominent in all of the devices, so it seems to have little to do with the outdated Play:5 (which still, 3 years later, can’t playback Spotify anymore 🤬). I contacted support, sent a diagnostics when the issue was at it worst and got the same brain dead support response where he remote rebooted my system because he claimed it had weak c

I know this topic has been beaten to death, but in my digging I haven’t seen a scenario that seems to quite line up with this one.  Hoping it’s an easy fix. I have a bunch of Play:1’s and a a playbar littered around my house.   I have one single speaker in a kid’s room that I find goes ‘unavailable’ for a couple of minutes multiple times per hour.   (I note this in the log of my Home Assistant environment that Sonos is integrated into).  Actually playing things on the speaker works just fine.  The Sonos app works just fine.  But according to that log, the flipflopping to unavailable keeps happening.I don’t believe it’s an HA thing (beyond it maybe possibly timing out a bit faster than it should perhaps), because it is ONLY happening on this one speaker for the entire house.I recently switched from SonosNet to wifi-only in an attempt to combat this, but no avail.  When I was on SonosNet the speaker did show it wasn’t getting a great connection.

Apple lossless does not work on my Amp, it constantly drops or says not encoded properly.  Apple lossless works on all the other speakers without any drops, and if I group them, the amp stays silent.  Spotify works perfectly on the Amp.  I am using the S2 app when I play the music.  This started after the last update, no problems before then.Thanks for any advice.

When I select Manage → Add Radio Station, I enter the radio station’s URL and give it a name.  I’ve done this several times and I cannot find the radio station afterwards!  I’ve read elsewhere that it should be in “My Radio Stations”.  Unable to find My Radio Stations.  Also unable to find radio stations after adding by searching.  I just added one and gave it a unique name AAAAA, and still cannot find it!Where are these radio stations?  

I can't conect to my favourite tune-in station anymore "EPIC LOUNGE - restaurant Lounge". Is the radio station gone offline? or is is just my problem?

Durante la procedura per ristabilire la connessione con l’applicazione (ultima scaricata) , come nuovo speaker, arrivo fino al suono e relativo pin sulla cassa, dopo mi viene chiesta la password per collegarmi alla rete e una volta messa (non ci sono errori) l’applicazione mi dice che la password non è valida e di riprovare. Ho fatto questa procedura varie volte, mi sono collegato anche con un cavo ethernet ma non ci sono riuscito. Ho posto il problema all’assistenza telefonica e nonostante vari tentativi non abbiamo risolto nulla. Il cellulare che ho è un honor 90 con sistema android. Have been enjoying a stereo pair of Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 speakers with Sonos Sub Gen 2 on S1 app. I thought these are excellent and very happy with it. Then I read about the superiority of Sonos Five. I must admit I should have done more research but thinking Sonos gear will price increase so I bought a pair of Sonos Five after 30% upgrade discount. Arrived this morning and in no time I have set up both Sonos Five as stereo pair and included the Sub. Had to upgrade firmware along the way but no issues whatsoever. Have no trueplay as I have a S25 Ultra.I listened to smooth jazz the whole day and I cannot say this setup is any better than my previous one. I would say its the same. I am actually quiet dissapointed. Could it be this new setup requires trueplay unlike my previous setup? As for placement, I simply remove my Play 5 and replace it with Five. The Sub placement the same.   

Im considering adding the Sonos noise cancelling headphones to my setup - mostly for me to listen to music but there are times when I want to watch TV and my wife doesnt want to listen !Can the headphones be used just in noise cancelling mode ? So no music - just nice and quiet ?

When using the Sonos app connected to audible there is a chapter selection screen that allows you to choose any chapter in the book. Unfortunately, when you click the play button next to a chapter, it appears to work but then playback just continues from wherever you were last listening.  This is incredibly frustrating when you want to listen to a book again. If it's a 30 chapter book and you were last on chapter 15 then you have no way of restarting the book apart from either pressing previous chapter 15 times, or pressing next chapter 15 times and then fast forwarding to the end of the last chapter. Even this would be ok if chapter selection was quick, but if you press back 15 times then it will go back one chapter at a time, play a tiny bit of a chapter and then skip back another chapter. Obviously you're going to get impatient doing this, so you end up pressing back 20 times, this then gets you to the first chapter eventually and then carries on restarting chapter

I keep on getting an error message looking for network every time I log on to SonosI have upgraded all my Sonos speakers to 300 and 100s I am running are  a ubiquiti System from a virgin media set in mode mode running through my own router through a POE switch then to my 3 APU all the speakers are Wi-Fi  the message reads your system cannot be found on network update network  So then you’ve got to keep on repeating and putting in the speakers very annoying  so please can someone help me if you have had this problem yourself?

Hi, I have five Sonos speakers in the house, 2 in the lounge, 2 in the kitchen and one portable one. At any given time some or all of them disappear from the Sonos App and cannot be found from an iPhone connected to the same WiFi network.  Right now I am typing this on my iPhone and I can see all the speakers in the Sonos app. My wife sat next to me, connected to the same WiFi, and she can see none of them. Sometimes it’s the other way around. Sometimes we can see a couple of the speakers and not the others.  Any ideas?  Chris
