Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hello. I just received my Sonos amp with Sonos speakers. I was following the steps of first setup via my Android Sonos app. I got to point where i was asked to enter my home WiFi password so the amp can connect to it. After entering the password, the app shows a message saying ‘’Your Sonos Amp has been added, but may not appear in your System. If so, unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish setup from System Settings.’’ The amp wasn’t added in the app so i tried to unplug the amp, then plugged it back in but nothing happens. It is still not in the app. I have tried to factory reset that but with the same result. Can anybody help? Thanks

Just sitting in my living room when I hear what sounds like a tapping on a drum,  find the source and it’s my era 300 speaker,  when it boops the light above the speech bubble illuminates. anybody experienced this?

Hello, I would like to use my SONOS system on a local network that is completely separate from my regular Wi-Fi network. This is because I won’t have Internet access at the location where I want to use it. My plan is to set up and update the devices somewhere with Internet access first, and then move them to the local network with a separate router (no Internet connection). Devices: SONOS PORT SONOS ONE SL My question is:If I set up a dedicated Wi-Fi network (with no Internet access), will I be able to play audio from the SONOS PORT to the SONOS ONE SL over this local network? Thank you very much for your help! 

This morning I tried to turn on my Sonos ace headphones and the power button does not work at all no response from it so I can't turn them on without plugging it in and then putting them on they work perfectly fine but the power button not working is kinda really not what I expected for 450 Euro's 

For the last few months I’m completely unable to play anything from Apple Music on an iPhone to ANY Sonos device in my house. Apple will see them, it will show as starting playing - then nothing plays and it stops after a few seconds.As an aside, what was once a great system is now an ‘also ran’ in my mind. So much spent on Sonos with such frustration at this point.Yes, it will play music from the Sonos App.Yes, it will play Apple Music from the Sonos app.No, it cannot create stations like Apple Music does. 

I have a Sonos Connect Amp and while blowing dust out of the stereo cabinet the Sonos Connect amp fried. Opening it up I see a Lion power transformer is burned. Looking to repair with a Lion 1706, with a number 6016A0005701. Is this feasible? The internet does not find this transformer that is installed on the circuit board. 

I can’t play music on the YouTube music app via airplay. It works fine when using YouTube music via the Sonos app so I know I know there are no connectivity issues. I would rather play music via the YouTube music app and airplay as the app is way more intuitive and better to use than using YouTube music via the Sonos app. I’ve been having this issue for months now and it’s extremely frustrating. I’ve tried so many different trouble shooting steps from turning the speakers & phone off and on. Checking airplay settings, checking YouTube music settings and checking Sonos app settings and full removal and reset of Sonos devices… please help!! Lol

Ever since the app “redo” a basic function has been missing when playing podcasts via the Sonos app:  the ability to fast forward in 30-second and rewind in 15-second increments.   I’ve read that Sonos thinks this is not necessary because one can ask the Sonos voice assistant to fast forward or rewind.  There are two key reasons why this does not work well: 1) it assumes one has Sonos voice assistant enabled on every speaker and 2) it takes longer than tapping an icon.  I’ve also read that Sonos says we can just drag the timestamp to where we want.  True, but 30-second increments are perfect for skipping ads in podcasts and it’s difficult to be that precise with a slider.

Hi, my amp no longer offers control for my third party sub. It is still sending audio to the sub, I can’t control it via the sonos amp any more. I have rebooted the amp and checked I’m on the latest app. I also rebooted the sub and checked connections.  is this just how it is for third party subs now?

Hello Sonos fans,I have some Sonos devices (Arc, Sub, 2x Era 300) connected to a “multimedia” vlan grouping also my connected TV, a Nintendo console, a Bose speaker etc. All these devices can access directly to Internet and they can be reached by Internet (music streaming...). They can see each other on this vlan.Laptops, smartphones, ipad are connected on an another vlan “home”.By default, traffic inter vlan is blocked. Which ports should be opened between the home and multimedia VLANs for managing Sonos speakers from the home VLAN and in which direction (home to multimedia and multimedia to home)?Additional information: my network is managed with an Ubiquiti UDM SE.Thank you in advance for your help.

Why is it so easy to accidentally reset your Roam when trying to turn it on or off and why does it not at least remain as a Bluetooth speaker.I’m unable to use it until returning to the home WiFi. Lovely brick to have on my travels.

Is there any update for availability on a longer power cable for era 100?

When launching my Sonos app on my iPhone I get the message that there is no products on my system. However this can’t be right as I have one speaker playing. What’s up?

Gen 3 subwoofer suddenly not on appchecked no power light plugged unplugged waited 10 seconds etctried different cable tried different sockets tried resetting nothing totally deadcontacted support. Advised only can give me 30% odd new sub. I have bought and recommended Sonos products for years. Bought gifts for my family wedding gifts. I have never had a power failure on any electronic product ever. this isn’t good enough extremely disappointed from Sonos and this products and offered solution. Will never recommend any Sonos  product to anyone and will be ending my relationship with the this company. I’m in shock. 

I understand that Sonos Roam (and Move) can’t currently be used as surround speakers as to protect the Sonos ecosystem and not cause issues of the speaker was moved away and out of range. BUT - why not program it so that, if it’s connected to the base / charging dock / cradle / power supply, then it is in home theatre mode and setup as a surround. Then if moved and disconnected from the above, it is in roam / stand alone mode and no longer in surround sound setup. Removing one speaker would disengage the counterpart of the surround setup and then temporarily default all channels through the front speaker(s). This means users could have smaller speakers setup for surround sound (which I know appeals to some) to enjoy a movie at night and some tunes out in the garden during the day, for example. It could even go one step further. When on dock and charging it is listed in the app as left rear surround for living room, for example. When disconnected it could become garden roam and hung on

I have an arc, sub and speakers. Apple tv 4k, LGTV. Out of the blue, while watching a movie, the arc just started chiming continuously. Turning  it off did not stop it. I had to unplug it. Why? No alarms set on Sonos or voice control, no weather alerts, no.community alerts, no amber alerts, nothing. Just this ridiculous chime.. 

I moved to an area with Dish Fiber and I can connect the Boost to it, but nothing else.The app simply says “connect the product to power” and I do that - the progress bar goes on for a minute and says “ we were unable to connect”This was such a wonderful product but it is headed to the dump if it cannot be fixed.

I plan to use my MOVE 2 in my little camper van to stream content from Pandora, etc on my iPhone . to my Move 2 using bluetooth.Question: Is there any way to adjust bass/treble, etc. when streaming to the Move 2 via bluetooth?Thanks for any help/advice.

I have an older Connect Amp connected to wired speakers in my kitchen. I have an old sound bar in my living room. Getting occasional cutouts in the kitchen when pairing the two for audio. Tried hard wiring the Amp but still experiencing issues.
