Hi,

newbie here. I’m going to purchase a Sonos set up that consists of 4 architectual speakers, amp and a smart switch. All 4 in one room. It’s 6x4m. 2 one end for the bar area and two the other for the tv. I’m thinking a switch would be good to turn down/off either end when not needed. What’s people’s thoughts. Also, would there be a wiring diagram for this?

Thanks

A speaker switch will work as long as it properly manages the impedance presented to the Amp.

Wiring is standard, speakers in parallel, switch in-line between the Amp and speakers.

Sonos when directly connected is able to drive four 8 Ohm speakers, two per channel or six Sonos/Sonance speakers. Not the Sonance ones not sold by Sonos though. I don't know if the additional speakers are supported when using a switch.
