Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I still cannot connect to my local music library on my MacBook, when are you going to fix this issue ever since I updated to the new app.

Hi I’m considering purchasing a Sonos Era 300 for listening to music. I’ve watched some YouTube videos, read reviews and am a little confused now whether to go for one Era 300 or get a stereo pair of Era 100s.I am also interested in whether to add a sub mini into the equation as I like bass.The music I mainly listen to is house, drum n bass, and not sure how much is with Dolby Atmos. I currently listen to music via an Amazon Echo speaker (don’t judge) but appreciate good quality sound and want to upgrade my listening experience in my home. The speaker(s) will sit in my open plan living dining and kitchen space approx 40m2, in the living space which is on one side of the open space.I’m open to getting two Era 300s either from the start or adding a second later on. And should I consider the sub mini or wait?i welcome advice on where to start on my Sonos journey. Thank you!  

I have lost my music library settings after latest update and unable to add it back.Any tips please. 

I just installed the latest iOS app version and it has to be said…The latest version fixes most, if not all, issues I had with the new version. The volume control is now very responsive - as good as before - and I do not get all the nasty error messages that were popping after whatever action I did. I know it should not have happened in the first place but, Sonos does deserves credits here. It is back to the stable app I used to have.Thanks.

I have two Sonos Amps, each running two ceiling speakers (front and back). In our family room for our TV watching.  Things were working fine but in the last several days suddenly the voices will fade to very low and the surround volume takes over.It will sometimes recover if I turn the TV off and on but when I change channels it seems to trigger the effect.  Just seems odd and still learning how the app actually works.  Not sure what gas changed.

I have a very old play:3. it connects fimne (on bluetooth then its own WIFI ) and all is good until it tries top get a audible PIN - no sound. They asks top press the button (on mine its the Start/stop, on the app its Mute) - no reaction. Tried restarting, factory reset, etc etc.Any help out there? 

Could someone please help me?  I’ve invested way too many hours in trying to get my music library back working and nothing works.  I have a new MacBook Air running Sonoma 14.5 OS.  I’ve been using an old Apple Time Capsule as my NAS -- solely for the purpose of connecting my library to my Sonos system.  That’s worked great for years until Sonos killed it.  Whatever, I’m trying to get to the acceptance stage of the grieving process.  I just want to hear my music.I’ve tried all of the guidance that others have listed.  I’ve gone to the File Sharing settings on my Mac and have tried adding my music library saved locally on my computer as an NAS; I’ve tried adding my Time Capsule as an NAS.  It won’t work.  I’ve tried using my password, not using my password.  Variously I get error messages saying “incorrect username and/or password” or error 913.  The error messages aren’t consistentYes, I have “Share files and folders using SMB” marked yes.  I have no idea what SMB1 -2 o

The app doesn’t show voice boost or quiet mode anymore…where’d that feature go???

I just updated the Sonos app and now nothing works. App finds speakers but then loses connection while trying to set up. What do I do? Nothing works 

Hello, I am at my wit’s end with non-functioning alarms on my 4 sonos speakers for many weeks now. To be honest, I’ve lost count how long it’s been since alarms last worked :( Yes, I can manage alarms in all three apps, but the alarms never actually go off. I just got my SONOS ONE and it’s been nothing but a pain. Won’t connect to my iPhone 14 this system is junk and customer service is terrible. I can’t believe this overpriced speaker( which by the way I have 2 of them) will not even connect! I’ve tried everything to no avail so disappointed and frustrated with the customer service the bit is useless and a live response is impossible unless you want to wait 65-95 minutes, yes you heard me right 65 minutes the first time I called 95 the 2 time! It’s completely outrageous!!!

Purchased multiple VERY grossly overpriced components and spent hours trying to register them, endless factory resets, app resets, hours on the phone with support only to be told the sonos app is a buggy worthless pile of trash. No fix in sight or ETA from a day or months when it could actually be functional and let customers who spent thousands of dollars actually use the overpriced products. 

Can I connect my PLAYBAR to my tv using Bluetooth or only optical in? I have a Samsung S95C and the remote is Bluetooth band does not support IR through the optical in

Hiwhy is my old sonos 1 not responding has cast as it use to when I use my phone to increase the volume it takes a good 10 seconds to respond 

Since I reset my Sonos speakers to factory setting I have been unable to add Apple Music and Alexa voice assistant to the speakers. 

I recently connected my TV to my Mac with Airplay and ever since that happened, I now have to use Airplay to use my Era 100s, but there is a huge lag in audio playing using that method. But, now when I select using Bluetooth (which worked up till now), I am not getting any audio output. What can I do to resolve this? I have tried “Forget this device” and restarted the pairing, but this doesn’t solve the problem. This is really annoying. I believe the Airplay option was always there even before connecting my TV, but now it’s the only option to play my computer’s audio through the Era 100s, but with a really annoying delay. The other issue is when I switch tabs in my browser, the audio doesn’t play at all and I have to disconnect the Era 100s via Airplay, click on the Era 100s via BT, and then come back to Airplay to get them to play delayed audio. This is terrible. It just worked before I messed with Airplay at all to connect to my TV.

I am trying to add voice control to my Sonos era 100. Even though the microphone button is set to "on", the Sonos app asks me to make sure microphone is on. I also cannot pair my era 100 using Bluetooth.Has anyone encountered this problem?Thank you!

I was one of the loudest fans of Sonos after latest software update I can’t stand my system I have to disconnect router and all speakers every time I want to use if not a solution am ready throw all in garbage and go with another system which is an expensive proposition i tried to call customer service said 55 minute wait chat had no one available

Hey I have an issue with my Sonos one speaker, it won’t let me update the internet settings. I have tried resetting both speaker and sonos app and the start from scratch. But nothing works. can anybody help me? 🤞🏼😊

I’m an integrator.  I still cannot after a week and a half add ANY Sonos ports to a new install that’s been completed.  Your app initially flashes a screen showing “adding port adding port adding port” and then it says update available...it errors out with a 1002 and then after force closing it, it errors out with a 1000.   Then it goes into a neverending loop of “update is available” where I cannot actually reset the app to try again. You guys are absolutely killing me right now and my clients who want to use their systems. I’ve removed the devices entirely and brought them back to my design center/workspace and tried adding here as well with the same BS over and over.  I’ve used the PC app as some suggested as well with zero results.

I've had my Beam 2 with a sub mini connected since Nov 2023, connected to Samsung TV with arc hdmi. No issues at all up until now. Came to watch TV this afternoon, LED on Beam 2 continuous flashing white, sound coming from TV speakers and not Beam 2. Went to Sonos app to troubleshoot, product not found in app.Tried multiple reboots of Beam 2 with and without sub mini plugged in, still get continuous white flashing LED.Era 100 working fine on same network. Tried ethernet cable reboot, no change, still get continuous flashing white LED on Beam 2. Any ideas? Many thanks, Rich

I’ve heard that you can connect up to THREE Sub (Gen)s to an Arc surround system.  Is that true? You definitely need two, which I have, if you want to hear the best out of your • Arc • Era 300 x 2 • Sub (Gen 3) x 2 • system.  It lowers the distortion of each sub by having two, and it sounds much better when you have one on each side of the room (left & right) having the port open and firing towards your ears.  I’ve tried it with just one, and yes it can get loud but the bass isn’t as tight as you have to raise the volume on it to levels that are just too high.  Plus, you won’t get your sub to get down to its stated 25Hz ability unless you have two of them.  You won’t believe how much better it sounds with two subs, regardless of volume. i have one on my right wall, and my second is placed up against my big dresser where my Arc is on (and it gives the Arc more bass as the dresser resonates slightly and it’s not flabby at all.  I would like a third one

I have just updated sonos app in the App Store but am still unable to add music from Apple Music library to sonos, it takes me through the sign in/authorise procedure but then I get “we have run into a problem please try again “ I am on my iPad. Does anyone know how to authorise Apple Music on iPad?

Searching for your own music is obviously challenged by Sonos’ terrible new app. However, I have managed to get the app to detect my large music collection… where I can then scroll endlessly through my 6000 albums on my NAS. But now I’m also experiencing that Sonos loses connection to my own music collection, after which I have to set up the library all over again. Additionally, I have to split my collection into parts and add it piece by piece to the library - because if I do it all at once, Sonos fails. Why can’t Sonos add all 6000 albums at once, as I could before the new app?
