Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

We have recently moved to a new house and as part of signing up to a new ISP we were provided an 2 x Eero 6+ routers. I have one Eero connected to the NTD (modem) and another in the living room as an extender. Having read through a bunch of posts on this community, I see Eero are very hit and miss with Sonos.Ultimately I will be looking to connect 1 x Sonos Sub1 x Sonos Beam2 x Sonos One At the moment I just have the Ones unboxed, ready to set up as a stereo pair.I am able to add each speaker using the S2 app, however when it comes to finalising set up, neither speaker is able to update which stops the process.As a workaround I connected one speaker to the Eero in the Living Room via Ethernet and left the other wireless. The issue I’m having now is I can only connect to the speakers through the Sonos App, I can’t direct play music from spotify or any other apps. Any suggestions to fix the issues? Ideally I would like a fully wireless set up for the Sonos i.e. no speakers connected via

I bought the Sonos move. After completing the initial set up, i am now on connect to wifi. I can’t seem to get past this set up. I have done all the tricks i could find but still nothing. 

What is the Windows app for?It does not detect my Ace, Bluetooth ou USB, saying Not connected.

My app and system are acting horribly since that last disastrous upgrade.  I just need to vent. When will this get corrected?

True play and loudness are automatically turning off without me doing anything. I’m always having to turn it back on in the Sonos app. Any ideas?

Hi everyoneI play music on Deezer through my Sonos one speaker.All of a sudden it has stopped continously playing. Plays one song then stops. Play Deezer directly through my car it is fine and rolls on to track after track. Any ideas please??Thanks,Mike

The new sonos app is a junk.  We all should stop using the product for REALTest your product well before pushing in production. It is not working, roll it back.Playlists are gone, cant save playlists, the list goes on and on. FIX IT

Hi!I’m using a Sony record player that I’m running through a line in source attached to an Era 100 speaker. I have another one in another room that I use to sync with it. I always want the record player to be priority source through the system and to play out of both speakers when I put a record on. Don’t want to have to faff with the app every time.I have enabled autoplay but I still frequently have to manually select the line in through the app to get it to work. Is there a way to make this line in device autoplay consistently?

When will I be able to connect to my tv via the beam? Reason I bought these headphones 

We are another victim of Sonos pointless updates. We were set-up and the system was working perfectly.The music folder is on an external drive connected via USB to a BT Smart Hub 2 - it presents as a NAS drive and is accessible by any other device on the home network (wholly independently of any other computer on the network).The music library folder was set-up and is managed through Windows - that much still all works as it should.Our Move used to be able to stream music from the NAS (with no other PC being active). Since the updates it has lost access to the NAS and any attempt to restore connectivity results in error 913.I’d be grateful for guidance on how to determine why it no longer works. Specifically, to determine whether this is a result of Sonos redacting support for SMB1 or whether this is a temporary hiatus that Sonos will resolve through a future firmware update “later this month”.

Hi, I have 2 TV rooms with 2 soundbars. Can I set up TV Swap with more than 1 soundbar?Will the headphones automagically swap the audio depending in which room I am in? Thanks

Hi,the new app is useless and I can't listen to my preferred Italian radio from the UK as I was always doing before the silly update.Does anybody know if using SonoPhone IOS app I can play foreign radios using MyTuner? Thank you in advance 

Hello, I have a problem with beam. Today the beam disappeared from the app and I couldn't find it via airplay. The white led keeps flashing and I can't do a hard reset. Any suggestions?

I just purchased a new MacBook Air with Sonoma 41.5 and cannot find a Sonos app in the App Store. I’m running S1 Sonos system. Is it supported on this platform?

Sonos is turning into a horrible music source in my home since the new app came out. I have always found it difficult to work with Sonos but now I constantly get messages that my system can't be found, "something went wrong". the volume control doesn't work much of the time, songs playing don't update on the app, many times I can't use Sonos at all due to the app not finding my system. I do updates and it may work for  a while then, "system can't be found". Oh, and I am 27th in line to chat? I should have gone with a Bluetooth system. And yes, I know how to spell “frustrated”. Delighted to get my system back working after the latest update(s), however …It’s eating my iPhone battery.  87% over 13hrs background activity today and I’ve not even played any music.  This is not right, surely.

Hello, I recently moved and I’m setting up my Play1 on a new wifi network. The app finds my device, chimes, and requests the password for my new wifi network. I enter the password but I get an “unable to connect” message. Retrying does not work.  I’ve plugged the device directly into my router with an Ethernet cable which does work. I’ve enabled wifi in the Sonos app, but when I unplug the Ethernet cable and try to connect through wifi again, I’m hit with the same problem, “unable to connect”. Has anyone experienced this same issue?  Thanks 

I was under the impression that versions 16.1 and prior would directly contact streaming services like Spotify so that a Sonos services outage would not impact an already configured system. Is that no longer the case and if so why?

I’m using Sonos for years in my house. Besides the app update which was a total joke of course, why do we have to set an alarm to just play radio all day? Why can’t we just let it play music from a set up time for a set up number or hours? And a if it disconnects it reconnects automatically again? Why all the hassle with the alarms? I have done EVERYTHING possible to let my Play:1’s and One SL have the very best connection possible. Wifi is turned off, all speakers are wired connected to my router (NO duplicate IP’s no) but it does not matter. The times the radio plays all day without stopping, in one year time, are possible to count on 2 hands. Play on all grouped rooms? Yeah right hahahaha. What a f****** joke that is. The software behind the Sonos equipment must be developed by some r****** on a lazy sunday afternoon. So disappointed, bought these speakers as a gift for my husband to connect to soundbar we use for TV, tried all the suggested fixes to no avail. Taking them back to Costco today!

My rear Arc seems to dominate the surround sound with very little sound coming from the rear speakers. How do I adjust the balance please

After yesterday’s (newest) update, every time I try to play music in any room the app switches back to the first room in my list (bedroom). For example, I’ll choose dining room, pick a playlist or album  and start it. The song will start in my dining room, but the app switches back to bedroom. If I want to change volume, skip a song etc. I need to deselect bedroom and switch to dining room. This causes the music to stop and go back to the start of the playlist. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted my router, reset the speakers, switched to sonosnet. Nothing helps. I can use the old Mac app and it works fine, but would prefer my phone. 

Last week I had to shut down my Sonos system as it was draining my iPhone battery in just a few hours. That was cured but now the latest update has effectively killed my Sonos system as I cannot access any of my services. I simply get a message telling me that “something went wrong, try again”. Further attempts fail and deleting and reloading the app makes no difference. What on earth is going on at Sonos. Why are these updates seemingly not tested before release?!
