Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Seems like I am in the same boat with so many others.  I have 7 Sonos One SLs and Apple Music will no longer play.  I was looking to purchase the surround 7.1.2 setup, but this has completely turned me off of getting it.  Seems like app updates can render your speakers useless.  Or at least useless for your primary use.  I miss the time when things weren’t so reliant on connection.  I have tried to reauthorize with no success…i can see the service and pick the playlist, but it just spins.  Any help/workaround is appreciated. Sonos, try some beta testing before crippling the users.

Hi all sorry if someone has already asked but does anyone has the same problem?   I set my alarm either chime or sono favorite like a radio.  However, it never go off at the set time.  I live in UK and she since the new app my alarm isn’t working anymore…Any help will be very much appreciated.Thanks

Where can i repair symfonisk speaker in Hungary?

My living room sports an Arc, Sub G3, and two Ones as rear channels. Everything works great. I also have two non-Sonos ceiling speakers on the patio next to the room, which I would love to connect into the Sonos group and play the tv sound.  I already have a Bluetooth amp on those speakers but can’t figure out what I need to get it in the loop. Would also like to continue using speakers as bluetooth occasionally. I’d prefer not to spend another $700 to get the newer Sonos amp, if I can help it. Any idea? Thanks for any insight!

Hi everyone,I currently have 4 x Play:1s, a gen 2 sub, a Five, a Roam SL and a gen 2 beam. They are all running firmware 16.1.1 (build 78152020) and are controlled by the 16.1 S2 android app (build 78151030). I ‘sideloaded’ the 16.1 version following the disastrous release in May.My main use case for Sonos is to play my personal library of music from a USB stick connected to my router on 2 zones (2 x play:1s and 2 x play:1s plus the sub). The beam is used solely with a TV, the roam/five are used to stream internet radio.For various reasons relating to my routers support for SMB1 (ASUS DSL-AX82U), not having a NAS, working without internet and not wanting to upgrade to the latest app version, I want to downgrade the play:1s and the sub to S1 and separate the components into 2 systems, with the more up to date components on 16.1 S2.The 16.1 S2 app does have the option under ‘support’ to ‘downgrade products to S1’ and I’m wondering if anyone has done this on the pre-May S2 app? 

Attempting to install new MOVE. i have two speakers, one mini sub and one beam all connected through WIFI. i can group all. The MOVE, on the other hand connected via Bluetooth with BEAM. I cannot group with all others. instead i have two networks  HELP

Hello, I have a Sonos amp upstairs and is connected to WiFi. I have speakers downstairs to the roof which are connected to the amp. However I am not able to detect the amp on my mobile app after I’ve changed mobile.  please advise. Also is there a way or a page using which I can detect which WiFi network amp is connected to?

Since installing the update in May, I haven’t been able to use my Sonos speakers for the only use that matters to me: play the music recorded on an external SSD inserted in the Satechi Stand & Hub For Mac Mini (https://tinyl.io/BOh8) connected to my Mac Mini through USB. I followed the instructions from https://trello.com/c/wcfwIU8A/2-local-music-library But… Any help would be very much appreciated. 

Hi folks, turning to the community as one last throw of the dice to try and resolve this, otherwise I will be selling the 2 x Move speakers. Having read through the various posts around the updated app (absolutely horrible) and various posts surrounding my similar issue, I have been unable to find a solution that works.  when I try to access the speakers through the app (BT full fibre and iPhone 15 pro) I get the attached error message about “system not found on network”. I then search and add my speakers once again. Within 2 minutes, they disappear yet again.  I have to go through this process EVERY time I access the app, I have been unable to simply open the app and play music since the app update.  can anyone offer some advice with this that has maybe found a solution as I do love the speakers but this has now become unusable and will be forced to sell.  thanks all. 

I have a Sonos Amp along with a pair of Sonos by Sonance Outdoor speakers and I want to connect-add a passive GLS8 OSD Subwoofer along with a Fosi M03 mono sub amp, is this configuration possible all together in the Sonos Amp??

So I've been posting fairly consistently about the missing sub controls on the Connect:Amp S2 - after getting my hands on a newer generation connect amp which has the sub controls in the app, it's become evident that the "sub output" feature has been removed from the Connect:Amp without ANY notification of doing so.Is there any plan to restore the sub output on the Connect:Amp or will I have to raise this with trading standards?The app mis-steps I can just about deal with, but removing features without notification is completely unjustified! 

Hello, how are you? I'm having trouble setting up the Sonos Era 100. When I add it, an update appears that always gives error -30. I've already switched phones, reset the speaker, etc., and nothing works. It's very frustrating because the product isn't cheap. How can I solve this?

I'm just going to keep posting about this until I get a fix or Sonos acknowledges the damn bug!I have 3 sonos amps, and a powered sub. Connecting to the sub output on the amp works, but very quietly. I have to push the subs' gain up to full to get any output! Critically, the app doesn't show the sub controls when a sub is plugged in. At all. I've tried all 3 amps with the sub, all exhibit the same issue. Anyone else seen this? And is sonos even going to acknowledge it? Or will we see another pair of damn headphones before they do? 

My Sonos Move failed charging dock replacement It charges Ok via USB-C, using the same mains socket outlet, so I know it’s the docking base. I also measured the voltage across the dock pins and it is zero. I bought it new from John Lewis in May 2023 but they no longer stock this older model and so under their warranty I can only get a refund or a same-price alternative or pay the extra £140 for the newer Move 2; non of which are appealing to me. Do Sonos provide replacement charging docks?

Hello.I want to complete my arc with two era 100 (in the future I will change them for era 300 if my budget allows it).The problem is that I don't know the ideal location.Is it better to have them stuck behind the sofa (option B) or 5.5 meters away (option A?I know it's a long distance, but I can't put them closer due to plug issues.  

Buenas compré un conjunto de altavocez de sonos 2 era 300 para la sala de y el comedor q son abiertos y están conectados y 10 era 100 para repartir en el resto de habitaciones y áreas de la casa. Mi duda es la siguiente de qué manera es mejor colocar y configurar os altavoces para tener un sonido más uniforme por toda la casa por ejemplo en el área de la sala y comedor con los era 300 se recomienda ponerlos uno en cada area independiente o ponerlos a trabajar como estéreo. Y con los era 100 por ejemplo en la cocina o en los cuartos grandes con 2 altavoces es mejor emparejarlos y q trabajen como estéreo o separarlos los más posibles para que el audio se reparta por toda la habitación. También tengo duda si para el exterior de la casa es aconsejable usar 2 o 3 altavoces Move 2 o usar altavoces pasivos con un amplificador. Gracias de antemano por su respuesta 

I have about 20 Sonos devices. Suddenly I cannot control volume on my Move 2 from the app (works fine via physical buttons on the move). Additionally, when I try and group my Move2 with a port, not only does it not group, but my move goes into "sleep mode" until I turn it off and turn it back on again. I only use the move with the line in adapter.This used to work great, what is going on? I need this fixed by football season, else my back yard projection system is useless.This is why I bought the move, 3 ports, 6 speakers, and a huge emotiva amp... and now none of it works any more

Today all of a sudden, my Ray no longer takes Optical input. It worked fine yesterday, but now it won’t respond to optical audio in.  At the same time, I became unable to browse or play Amazon music, though iHeartRadio still plays fine. I don’t know if these are connected in any way.  I’ve tried unplugging and plugging the Ray back in, and removing the Amazon music service & re-adding it, but neither help at all. 

So I have had a Sonos system for about 6 or 7 years, maybe more. And all of that time I have been willing to forgive the almost complete unuseability of the products to the point where I did recommend them to a number of friends. However those days are over. My hat off to the creators of this ruse and the slogan ‘Effortless listening’. Never has there been a product made that requires more effort to manage than Sonos. Congratulations then on two fronts. Conning us into believing your products work (imagine getting into a car that you had to reset randomly and inexplicably 6 - 12 times per month) and coming up with a slogan that is actually precisely 180 degrees away from what the product actually is. 👏

New to SONOS. Been using a pair of Yamaha MusicCast WX-030 and have been very happy with it. Until I chanced on a pair of SONOS 5 Gen 1 on facebook. Had the SONOS for a week in pair stereo mode with S1 and WOWWWWWWWWWWWW. I can understand why people spend $$$$$$$$ although I do not see myself spending so much on new SONOS gear. Lucky the pair I bought cleans-up nicely and sounds perfect.

Does anyone else seem to be having issues with their soundbars restarting hourly?I have two soundbars (ARC & Ray) each with subs & surrounds, in separate rooms, both hardwired to my home’s 2.5gbe network. This problem just started the last week or so where Almost Every Hour, the soundbars restart (in close sync) between the 7th and 13th minute of every hour. This stops and disconnects them from whatever groups or sound source connected to them. Including audio directly from spdif or eARC. I thought it was intermittent until i started tracking them locally with an uptime service. What I think may Potentially be HappeningAn hourly process is failing, and causing the two devices to crash. The devices are receiving some data that triggers restart or crashes every hour. From Local Sonos Devices From Local Network Devices From External (WAN) sources

Play 1 won’t reset past orange light even using Ethernet cable connected to router?

I am hoping that someone can assist with a major problem I have and this is not yet another 'new app problem'.I have Amazon Music Unlimited connected to my (extensive) Sonos system. With the latest app update it has basically stopped working leaving me with limited misic. Behaviour is odd however mostly it just doesn't work and I get errors saying there is a problem with Amazon. However, every so often it does at least list some music, e.g a playlist. When I try to play it, it may work or skip a number of songs before finding one that plays. After that it will stop. If a speaker already had a music queue, you can hit play on the speaker and it works but stops after maybe 3 songs.I have tried:- uninstalling and reinstalling Sonos app- re authorising Amazon Music- other devices (same behaviour)- contacting Sonos support (have an incident number but have to phone next week - will update if I find out more as I have sent diagnostics).I attach screen shots as examples.
