Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Aloha to everyone, Short version: I'm still very happy with the Sonos Ace. Sound is good to very good, very comfortable, finally physical buttons again, for me as a “children in the house” person with a small apartment, the TV Swap feature is a revelation (for movies/series and - in reviews never mentioned - gaming). Killer feature! BUT: in TV Swap I keep experiencing slight mini dropouts in the sound or distortions (it feels like every 30-60 seconds). Can anyone confirm this? Could these be hardware problems, or will they be eliminated via updates? 

We have changed router and have a new WiFi password. The Sonos app on Windows 11 won’t connect. The only Support guidance is for iOS or Android. So we downloaded the Android app and that can’t find the system either. Is there an easier way to do this ?

Sorry if this has been asked before but I can’t find an answer to the problem I have and following others solutions. I have a Technic 1200 mk2 and I have this connected via a preamp into a Sonos Connect:Amp, never had an issue, now I can’t use the Connect:Amp as its deemed to old, so I have bought a new cable to go into the back of my Sonos 5, all fine apart from the noticeable distorted hum in the background, I have moved the speakers more than two feet away as others have said but still there.Any help much appreciated :) 

Been an AT&T user since I bought my Beam (Gen 1) and 2 Era 100 (Gen 2) speakers.  ATT provided Gateway /Router (BGW210-700) worked out of the box for my setup.I cannot figure which Spectrum supported Wifi router is compatible with my Sonos setup. Too many scary posts on this forum on this topic, but cant find a clear solution.  Requesting some guidance from the community. I wish Sonos Support could provide some recommendation for major providers.Thank you!

I have a arc gen1 soundbar and trying to connect a sub also gen1, I have tried everything I can think of to connect wireless and hard connection, I even spent 2 hours on live chat with expert and still same message sub not found.please can anyone help me or advise me  many thanksjo

I have Sonos systems in two homes.  At our primary home, our iTunes library (contained in a Mac Mini) is captured on the Sonos system.  As the Mac is located at the primary home, the iTunes library is not available on the secondary home system.  I’m planning on transferring the iTunes library (<4TB) to a portable NAS device and am looking on feedback on recommended devices and success/failure in transferring the library to the device and adding the music library to the Sonos system at the secondary home

Recently, voice control on my Sonos One for Spotify stopped working. For example, I’ll ask it to play jazz, and Google will respond “playing jazz on Spotify in living room” but nothing plays and Sonos app shows no music in queue. Playing manually from Spotify app and choosing a speaker works.  I have unlinked and relinked all accounts across Sonos, Google, and Spotify. Also reset my Sonos app and factory reset the device. Still not working.  I did test Sonos voice assistant and that DOES work… so it seems it’s something happening with the connection to Google and Alexa. 

Good morning How can I connect the Project T1 turntable (without a preamp) to a pair of Sonos Era 300s and enjoy the music in stereo?I currently have a Sonos Era 300 connected in line. Is it possible to connect another Sonos Era 300 in line ? Do I need to buy a device like a sonos port or sonos amp ? Let me knowThanks

Anyone else like me and currently too scared to update their sonos library + desktop app just in case it gets screwed even more than it currently is? (lesson learned after automatic ios update)Sonos are going to have to do some BIG gestures to earn trust back from their customers.

The status light on my Sonos port stays green since the last update from SonosIn settings/ hardware it is turned off.Any ideas.. 

Since the new version of the app I am unable to access my Sonos system as when I ask to join an existing system the accept T&S’s button is grayed out and does nothing when I tap it. This is the same on both my Android tablet and my iPhone. Both tablet and iPhone software is up to date.Come on Sonos team there have been too many issues in the recent past from the Alexa issues with the Era 100 to this!!Can somebody please help me reconnect to my Sonos System This is just sooo frustrating!! Thank you

When I try to swipe the next page down 99% of the time the whole app will swipe down instead of the menu. Do I have fat fingers or is the pin strip you need to hit positioned wrong” 

I can see lots of historical posts about issues with Samsung Frame and Sonos Arc, but most topics are closed (some implying the issues are fixed).  Well, I have a brand new Samsung Frame (2024) and a brand new Arc, both running the latest updates, and it most definitely still a problem.  Things will work fine for a day or so, then sound will stop being sent from the TV to the Arc. The TV still knows Arc is there, and it’s selectable as the output for the TV, but the Arc doesn’t seem to receive any sound. After a few seconds, the TV will flip back to sending sound via the internal speakers again. I can re-select Arc as the output get no sound and a short time later it does back to speakers.  When in this state, it doesn’t matter what input is used, what the sound format is (eg Atmos or not). The volume control on the TV brings up the overlay saying “Sonos Arc (HDMI-eARC” but the plus and minus icons are missing.  No setting changes on the TV fix it. No change on Arc settings fix it. Res

As of August 1 2025, Sonos is finally displaying my music library. I can see a list of my iTunes playlists.However, when I add a playlist to Sonos’s favorite, Sonos starts using some cryptic internal code for the playlist name. I can’t tell which playlist is which from the names used.  

Problem Free Imported Playlist Solution:I was one of the victims of Sonos’s recent upgrade in May. I lost everything and was unable to play music until August, still without my imported playlists. Work arounds proved faulty. My music library would appear and disappear forcing me to do another significant reload. The NAS work around has proven satisfactory but not ideal. My external hard drive is not a NAS, why are we treating it as such?Sonos support was completely unacceptable; the representatives were polite enough and while apologetic (offering nothing but empty promises that these issues would be fixed in future)  proved completely unable to resolve the issue  Call wait times are oft north of 75 minutes and level 2 technicians have to be scheduled weeks in advance. HelloApologies if this is a dumb question. I have an Amp wired directly to 2x Paradigm bookshelf speakers and a separate Sub (gen 3) for music playback. I just bought and added an Era 300 wanting it to play the same streaming, but in my kitchen/ dining area. However, when I stream music through my current set up, nothing comes through the Era. What am I doing wrong?For clarity, the Era is on (I think) and it has connected to my system (set up, ran Trueplay) but shows as separate in the app. Many thanks!Max

Hi there, I’ve got a Sonos arc, sub, amp and 6 ceiling speakers as my Sonos set up. The arc and sub are connected via hdmi to my tv.  The 6 Sonos ceiling speakers are connected in the same wifi network. When I play music via Amazon music or spotify I can get the music to play from the tv (arc and sub) and through the ceiling speakers that I group as kitchen.  What I can’t seem to work out is how I get the sound from them all when I’m watching the tv. When I watch tv it only comes through the arc and sub and nothing through the ceiling speakers. Is there a connection that I should be making when playing sound through my tv to get it through the ceiling speakers as well? Thanks. 

Hi there,When I came back from holiday, my sonos play 5 gen 2 was on with a very faint white light. When I tried to play music or connect to my other speaker it was impossible. I unplugged the speaker and it hasn't turned on since. I can't see the control light. What should I do? Thanks. 

Hi,I'm having real usability issues with Plex. I've tried removing and reauthorizing the account etc multiple times. My use case is that I have multiple Plex sources but can't interchange them. so is keeps defaulting to the my childrens source which is smaller (not sure if that's contributing).  I get the “something went wrong” error when I try to changing it to my main source after 10 or so seconds of thinking about it. Workaround is for me to access music that's hosted in my main source  via the playlists option or using search which is hit and miss - often seems to drop Plex from the list of services to search. Strangely I can access an album via this method but not the whole artist - again not sure if it's a content thing. I've loaded the following diagnostic.**Moderator Note: Diagnostic number removed for privacy*

My ARC is not connecting with TV via HDMI cable

I have recently purchased a Sub Mini in order to connect it to my two Play:1 speakers.Initially it would not even connect to the speakers.After about a day of trying, it eventually connected to the room and the speakers. However there was no sound.The sub was dead.After endless resetting etc it suddenly gave me sound. I got about twenty minutes out of it. The next time I turned the computer on it was dead again, and has been ever since.After extensive research all I can find is the usual “it’s not Sonos, it’s your router” diagnoses/excuses.Well, if my router is as bad as so many seem to suggest it is, how is that it has been running my other Sonos Sub perfectly for over five years without one single problem? How is that Sonos still plays my music perfectly too? How is it that my internet reception/speed is perfect too?
