My Sub crackles loudly when watching parts of shows that have explosions/gunfight scenes. I have unplugged and reset it. Have reintroduced it to my sound bar. Still get this loud crackle or feedback when scene in show is an action scene.

Even out of warranty, talk to Sonos before you open it up as you might be able to get some assistance that isn’t usually offered on opened systems.

Sounds like ah the speakers in your Sub have blown.
My old Playbar did the same thing after I just moved it a little, and after a little Google I was able to read that one or more speakers had blown.
Can you see if one of the speakers has a crack along the edge or somewhere else. I've read that some people have repaired a speaker themselves with a little superglue :)
Of course, you shouldn't try to fix it if it's under warranty ;)
