So, I need to upgrade my setup. I have limited funding so I can’t afford “back speakers this time” and might add them later. But would this setup work and would the E 300 speakers add to the experience? Or is a Arc Ultra enough?

No.  You cannot have separate front left/right speakers with a soundbar as the center.   Like every soundbar made, the Sonos Arc Ultra already has the left/center/right front speakers in a single enclosure.

In a Home Cinema setup the Sonos Soundbar provides the Front Left, Centre, and Front Right channels.  So if you can afford the x2 Era 300’s, these would be best added as Rear Surrounds (You can’t add them as Front L+R channels)  If this is something that you wish to do, then just move the Era 300’s to either side of the Sofa.

The setup you show would be good for TV on the Arc and a second Sonos Room with the 300s for stereo listening. You could hook the Sub to either Sonos Room.

You'd be far better off just putting the 300s in the rear and configuring as surrounds.
