Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Sonos Play:5 (Gen 1 ) stopping randomly for 5-10 sec when playing Spotify  but works fine with Tidal and radio stations. I have done everything Sonos support suggested. Sonos support said that it is a internal memory problem (to small memory for high-res streams). But Spotify is far from high-res and Tidal works fine. I have no network problems. Please fix this Sonos! 

Hi everyone,I have a radio station that I added to my Sonos favorites using the old Windows app. I created it in "TuneIn/My Radio Stations" using the URL <http://turntable/>.In the new Windows app, I can still find this radio station in my Sonos favorites and start playing it.However, in the new Android version, the icon for this radio station is visible but grayed out and cannot be selected.How can I, in the new versions of the Sonos app for Windows and Android:define a radio station by URL edit this definition and start/stop this station?Thank you!

Brand new joke from Sonos ?  In the app recent update, this alert appears even though my surround Eras 300 are installed as mentionned in the manual when upside down.  And seemed ok in the regretted Sonos 2 App.  is it something new to upset us a little bit more ?   

I have recently added the Sonos arc ultra to my setup (sub gen 3 and 2x ones in surround. When I use streaming services Netflix / Plex it sounds great, but for some reason sky movies have to have the volume turned up and surround sound isn’t great. I am running the tv to the arc via HDMI earc. I also have all Sky settings at Dolby digital?

Can someone tell me what exactly needs to be taken into account when it comes to the distance related to setting the surround sound?The distance between the Era 300 and the listener's ear, or the distance between the Era's external speaker and a nearby reflective surface?The Eras are located on the wall on both sides of the sofa on the wall, facing forward towards the TV and there is a maximum depth of 10-15 cm between the listener and the speakers. The distance between the TV (77”) and the viewing position is approx. 3 m. I know it's not perfect, but you have to adapt to the existing conditions. Both are at an equal distance, 1.3 m to the right and left of the student's position. The one on the left is 40 cm and the one on the right is 60 cm from the furniture, which means the reflecting surface.During movies, I have the feeling that the one on the left sounds louder than the one on the right. I’m having trouble with my sound. I use my phone or iPad to control volume. It now seems to only work if I use my tv controller and put it on mute. This issue started up after trying to connect headphones to my tv.

I have some over-long track titles which appear as greyed-out (dimmed) text in my Sonos music library. My first thought that these tracks had been somehow lost or failed to be recognised from my NAS Drive, however, on checking these track existedI found that you cannot select a greyed out track title to play now, but you can select the album containing the greyed out track title to play.If the Sonos App has a limit on the number of characters for a track title, I suggest the track title should always be displayed in normal text with … following the last character, indicating the title has been truncated.    

I keep having this notification. I wish Sonos had more setting options in the app. More features more functionality. This however has been going on for a month with seemingly no fix. 

I just noticed that my Sonos app says that my Era 100 surrounds are in an unsupported orientation with no further instructions. They are inverted and mounted near the ceiling.  Seem to work fine.  Is this a known issue?

i have two Sonia Era 300s as surrounds they are mounted up side down and seem to be working fine but I just noticed this coming up when going into the app settings anyone know what’s going on?  

Hi,This page lists Sonos products that support WPA3 security. Among the devices *not* in this list (I would personally like to know for a Sonos Play-1 but it'd be nice to have this information for all products) is it known which of them support:WPA2-PSK-SHA256 (use of SHA-256 as the hashing method instead of SHA-1, the latter being cryptographically broken) WPA3-SAE transition mode (WPA3-SAE but with the possibility to fallback on WPA2-PSK in case the client does not support the former protocol)From experience it seems the Sonos Play-1 at least does not support WPA2-PSK-SHA256, but I'd like to be sure as, again, WPA-PSK without SHA256 is cryptographically insecure. Thanks !

Feel like this is a topic that’s seems like it’s been brought up a thousand times prior to the alarm being reinstated, but I swear alarms used to have timers? Ok let me explain myself I had an alarm set for 5am in the kitchen so that when I came down around 5.05am my radio was playing this alarm timed out at 6am and switched off then at 7am another alarm came on playing the radio my partner likes for her to come down to at 7.05 she would leave for work and the “alarm” would cease at 8 and remain off until it went off again at around 5pm before I returned. Do Sonos plan to reinstate this feature? Is it there and I just let can’t see it?

I'm moving to Mexico in the Baja area. building a house that has 3 separate buildings. All walls are concrete. what kind of mesh system will you recommend so I dont have any lag on my music?

I'm trying to connect the Sonos app (version 2.0) to set up a used Sonos Play:5, but I keep getting a Wi-Fi password error. I even created a new SSID without a password, but the same error appears. I also tried using my mobile hotspot with a simple password and even without one, but I still get the error message:"We couldn’t connect to [Wi-Fi network]. Make sure you’re using the right Wi-Fi and password, then try again."Any suggestions?

I have a few Sonos play ones and playbar in my bedroom.  I have the status lights disabled but when the volume is set to zero, the lights come back on. (Hitting mute doesn’t cause the issue). This is a bit annoying because I don’t want the lights on at all, has anyone else experienced this issue?  

 Hi all, I was wondering if you could provide some guidance about a 2nd sub. I'm no expert on the interaction of sub/bass, and based on reading other posts I understand it can be tricky. I currently have the sub in the upper right corner next to the tv, and I was wondering if a 2nd sub would work ok next to the left side of the couch, as that's really the only reasonable spot I have.

The screen feature is gone and I don’t know how to get it back

Somewhat of a beginner here with devices. I have amps in my business and want to connect music directly to the amps via sd card. Is there a device professionals recommend or an alternative to a playlist on sd cards? We have connectivitu issues from time to time so my whole business looses the music when that happens. Thank you for the help!

As with most folks here, I’m mystified as to how poorly software update works.   I’ve had Sonos equip for almost 10 years and it’s been 10 years of pain, with software updates constantly failing.      

I have the Sonos App for Mac, it indicates 16.4.2., is there an update coming?  The mini always displays on top of everything else, the main app is too large, and nothing displays on the menu bar.  You cannot control the Sonos system like this.  Also, the keys on my keyboard will not control the sound, selection or allow it to pause.  This is not a good app and I am hoping as a result of the investment I have in Sonos equipment you fix this gross application/malfunction.  Please let me know the to expect an update….

I gave up on a Roam that had intermittent battery issues and would stop playing after two hours. Can I return it to Sonos for repair & resale? I purchased a Roam 2 and I want to dispose of the Roam.

Our business uses Sonos speakers & app to play music in the business. Sometimes we start playing music directly through the Spotify app, and other times we play Spotify through the Sonos app. When we play through Spotify, others are able to connect to the speakers and play their own music. When we play through Sonos, only the business ipad is able to connect. We don’t want any members to be able to connect to the speakers. Anyone know what this is about or why it happens?

What a disaster.Takes forever to open any music services and some, like Stingray which I have paid a fortune to subscribe to, will NEVER open on the Sonos app….rendering them useless Sonos never updates to tell you the actual song that is playing.  Keeps telling you it is playing the first song you played and never updates.  Brutal. Is Sonos simply shrugging its shoulders over this?  Oh well.  After customers have spent thousands of dollars on their infrastructure and speakers?  

About a week ago, I started getting access errors when trying to play from my music library on my Synology NAS. I am running all S2 Sonos components, and I’ve made no SW changes to the NAS in well over a month. I’ve been successfully running my music library for several years, save for the disaster last spring when Sonos made the major app change. It’s been running fine since the new app stabilized.I deleted the library in Sonos using the PC desktop app, restarted the app, and then set up a new Music Library. The library was correctly discovered, including music I added last week. I can browse to the music I want to play in the Sonos app on the PC desktop and multiple android devices. However, when I try to play the music I can browse to, I receive an "access error." This applies to every album I have tried (several dozen at this point). How can Sonos have access errors to the very music Sonos just discovered?I have confirmed that I can access the SMB share from two ph
