Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Good day to all !I posted another topic when, once upon a time, my 2 Sonos Connect were not able anymore to access the local music library, hosted on a NAS. Many people told me about the SMB1 protocol when I specified from the beginning that I a using SMB2 only since more than 5 or 8 years now.Of course, both of them used to work very well before that. The known issue was coming from a Sonos update when they released their headset and I have seen that many, many people were very upset by that.One day, several weeks later, a new Sonos update made be re-abled to access to this library, but I had to delete, then recreate it.So, today, I have a room that works very well, the Sonos Connect plays all the music tracks I want… but not the other one.Both are on the same Wi-Fi router / network, but the one in the second room refuses to work and I get an ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED message when I try to play something locally from either Phonos or Sonos Controller or the Sonos Android App. It cannot acce

I have my Sonos Play:1 configured to play an alarm at 6:30 am every weekday. The alarm is set to shuffle a private playlist from Spotify. It worked fine for a few days, but now I can never get it to work, it always plays chime instead. I have no connection issues to the speaker when playing music normally.I have a diagnostics report from me just testing the alarm at 5:29 pm today. **********Moderator edit: diagnostics number recorded and removed

True play won’t set up with new Arc

I have the Arc SL, 2 One SLs, and a sub setup as my surround system. They have all worked flawlessly until today. The lights on the Ones and the Sub started blinking as if they lost power and now they no longer play sound. App shows them all as connected and running the current updates. I have removed and added them back to the network with no results. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Wondering, do Sonos swap my Sonos Arc to New Sonos Arc Ultra if  add extra money covering difference? or its only option to sell my one somewhere else, keeping in mind my one is in excellent condition inc. original package. 

I have 2 Move speakers and two Era 100’s. Both sets are used as stereo pair. Is that the best way to have them? Do I need a subwoofer to go with these 4 speakers?

I have Sonos now many years and all of a sudden, the Alarm clock does not work anymore.I plugged and unplugged everything like you can read this everywhere - no success.Tried to reset the WIFI but the answer is always: can not find a device. This is strange as I can turn on the radio without any problems and if I would not have WIFI, the radio would not play.What else can I try to get the ALARM working again?

Related to this issue, but none of the proposed solution helped me with my symfonisk speakers. It helped shortly with a Sonos One SL, but in the end I had to remove it fully from my router and do a full factory reset to get it to work..  But I still have the issue with my Symfonisk Speakers, I have two lamps that are connected as stereo, where the volume slider is missing when they are a part of a group. I can also not send music directly to them to play standalone but I’m able to put music on another speaker and then add the symfonisk the that group to get them to play.. Edit: It seems that my Symfonisk Højtalere, is in a room called that, but when I go in to change their room name it’s just empty, if I set a value it doesn’t change.  

I have been struggling for some time to use this disastrous update to the Sonos App (Date typed 20 July 2024). It was installed on my phone and tablet automatically without any warnings nor ability to reload the old, working, app.The app ceased to work properly on my Android tablet and phone:No playlists No ability to create a queue Occasionally crashes Loses my system every couple odf days Regularly loses my library of NAS stored MP3s regularly and requires the app to be deleted and reinstalled and much else besides...A total disaster. Why is the New App Worse than the old one???I thought I was the only person struggling with the new updated App until I logged on here and seen other forums, with so many complaining about the same thing, not being able to control their Sonos speakers, what on earth is going on? What are Sonos doing about this? I’ve spent £1000s on speakers throughout my home and no have no way of simply selecting a speaker/room and playing music from it, instead in turns into a whole saga of me wasting time trying to navigate a way to get anything to play anywhere.  I’m yet to see any response for Sonos providing an update on what they are doing about this, apart from reset your Wi-Fi. Unacceptable…SONOS Sort This Out, we’ve paid good money for speakers we can no longer control. 

I recently upgraded to BT Fibre 900 with a new EE Smart Hub router. However since that happened I cannot get my Sonos Arc registered on the Sonos App and therefore no connection to the Sub. The Arc is showing as a connected device on the 2.4 Ghz component; the router has both 2.4 and 5 Ghz connected devices. The Arc is basically only working as an HDMI connected speaker to my main TV. The Sonos support person connected to my EE router and viewed my configuration and said without WiFi 2 compatibilty to the router the Arc would not register. Is this correct/What are my options?

Anyone know if the Arc wall mount will be compatible with the Ultra. I really don't fancy drilling more holes in my wall. Hopefully the existing mount will work. 

I upgraded to Sonos from a speaker switch/amp and iPhone setup - which I am woefully regretting.We have a Sonos Amp with 6 satellite speakers, as well as two Sonos One speakers inside a 2000 square foot building on one floor - and, of course, nothing works consistently for longer than a few hours at a time. We stream Apple Music and use a single playlist on shuffle.Looking for input on another solution perhaps with an iPod shuffle or old iPhone with MP3 files on it. The Sonos equipment can’t seem to handle streaming without a half dozen disconnection issues every day, so I’m hoping someone has found an old school way of listening to music on this craptastic system.

I recently bought a Sonos One Gen 2 and I cannot set it up. I've tried 5 different wifi networks, rebooting routers, etc. My app can find the system and sometimes it creates a temporary wifi network, and this connects to the Sonos unit. However, whenever I come to the last step, which is configuring it in the actual wifi network, it never accepts the password. Always end up with “check password”.Since the Sonos unit can connect to the temporary wifi created by the app, I assume that the wifi hardware in the speaker is not defective. Has anyone experienced a similar problem?I went through the FAQs, and tried most steps there (resetting the unit, resetting the router, trying different wifi bands) to no avail.

Hi there,  Is there a chance that in future updates we will get LDAC support for Sonos Ace? Thing with AptX LL is that almost no phone on the market supports it… with Samsung we are stuck with AptX classic support :/

Has anybody recently gotten a response from Tier 2? I called on Thursday last week (10/3/24), wasted my time with Tier 1 (as usual), and they said Tier 2 would email me to set up a time. Well… a week later, no email. *** in Tier 1 say the request was put in. Is Tier 2 really  that backed up?If Sonos reads this, your tech support is shameful. I had the same problem I’m trying to fix a few years ago and it took Tier 3 to fix it. This is also the exact problem of adding the library that the update caused but I had it before all this as well and Tier 3 was able to fix it. Turned on my Move this AM and got the dreaded “no products found”, here we go again. Anyone else?UPDATE: rebooted WiFi and products are connecting. I believe this was an ISP problem and not a Sonos issue. 

For some reason Sonos Radio disappeared in content services, with all my favorites. I don’t use it much, so I don’t when or why this happened. When I go to add it back, it is in the content list, but there is no way to add it back, lol. The normal button topJustified left is simply not there.I deleted the S2 app and reinstalled it but that is it, so far.Please advise, thanks so much!

on app Favorit  station becomes gray after 1 minute. 

I setup 2 Sonos systems last week for my customers (2 x Sonos Amps for 1 job and a Sonos Arc with a sonos Amp for the other) both of these systems I setup with my account. After completing the installation and handing over to the customers I was unable to transfer the account. After pressing the transfer account button pressing the continue button the app did not go to another page to proceed. 

Hi, I've connected my ERA100 successfully to my phone via Bluetooth and WI-FI. Now the reason I bought this product is because I want to use it when camping in a field with friends. As I have an Anker power pack and solar panel I want 24 hour music with better quality than a wireless speaker. My question:-  is it possible for a friend to connect their phone to the ERA100 via bluetooth without WI-FI or having the Sonos app installed on their phone ?
