Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

My system seems to experience issues fetching information from Sonos servers. But is this because of the new router or could it be that there are/have been intermittent issues at Sonos end this weekend? Details:I’ve been using a new Asus RT-AX59U router since yesterday 7.12.2024 1 pm UK time. Air Fairness, QoS, and Smart Connect are disabled.I set it up to use the same SSID and password as the old router. All 4 x Sonos One + Port connected at the time in the new app without issues. All are on 2.4 GHz, 20 MHz width. Sonos devices have reserved leases in the DHCP server. I have the app on Android, 2 x ipad, 1 iphone 14 pro.Problems started yesterday evening: Sonos Voice control reacts quickly to “hey Sonos, play” and “hey Sonos, stop” and works BUT commands that to me need information from the internet do not work: “hey Sonos, how’s the weather” or “hey Sonos, what’s playing” would return many seconds later along the lin

No sound on YouTube app only from Song Bravia TV. Other apps have no issues only YouTube. Tried to change to PCM but no avail. Thanks for your help 

First, it requires now your precise physical location (?!) Even then, it can not find any existing product on the network. I highly recommend not to update. Or get rid of sonos before it gets too late 

Since Sonos has had all kinds of issues my SiriusXM drops or stops playing all the time and is very frustrating. I have tried deauthorizing the account. Even called SXM to have them create me a new account and nothing seems to help. Music will just stop playing and I can’t switch to a different XM channel to try and get it to play. It will just time out. Some times I can switch to a different service and then go back but that is hit & miss also. This past year of XM on Sonos has literally sucked. I can play XM no problem through the XM app on my phone. Anyone else experiencing this. My internet service is T-Mobile and I have heard the the cellular services can cause this but I have had this a long time and just this year when all the Sonos problems started happening so did this. Would love some help here. 

I don’t know if it’s just me but every time I use the App, which is every day, something doesn’t work like it should. I’m talking about basics like getting sound out of speakers/rooms selected and adjusting volume. What is the f’ing problem? It’s been 6 months since Sonos promised to fix it and it is still a horrible experience trying to get everything to work. I just want to be able to listen to music without worrying about out whether the sound will come out where I want it and at a volume I can control.Right at this moment I have music playing in three rooms and the only way to control volume is to physically walk to each speaker to make adjustments. In the App, the sliders don’t show volume levels and do not allow adjustments. WTF. I know I’m not alone when I say that wish I could get my thousands of dollars back that I have invested. This company has failed all of us loyal supporters. The sound is great but it’s no longer an enjoyable experience to engage with the App. T

Hi,I recently bought an LG Oled G4 and a Sonos Beam Gen2.Bar is connected trough hdmi earc port.When playing some hbo max content in dolby atmos, I only get Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 label in sonos app, but not Dolby Atmos.Also,I notice that I need to set the volumen around 40-50, it  iis lower than other entries.I am using the streaming apps in webOS, not third party devices.what I am doing wrong?

I have a Samsung TV with a HDMI-Earc port for my Sonos system. I have a Spectrum DVR box connected to the TV. My Sonos system is a Sonos ARC, a Sub Mini and 2-Era 100’s for surround sound.I am having 2 issues that happen from time to time, but not always. #1) Sometimes when I power up the DVR box and TV, normally there is a pause for the sound until the TV connects to the Sonos system and then the sound would come out of the Sonos system. Sometimes the sound is muted. And what I have been having to do is to unplug the HDMI from the Sonos Arc and plug it back in. Then the TV will recognize the system and all will be OK. #2 problem) While we are watching something we recorded on the Spectrum DVR box, after fast forwarding through the commercials, when you would play, there might be no sound. What we have been having to do for this problem is hit like pause, then play. Or back up a little and then forward. Stuff like that to get the sound to play again. I am

Hi,I’ve been fighting with this for the best part of 2 days now after upgrading my old Sonos system, replacing  a connect with a port and adding an ERA 100 and replacing S1 app with the new thing. I’ve always kept my music on a NAS drive so that I can share it more easily(I play in a band and we record our practice sessions and ideas) and so that it doesn’t take over system drives.My system consists of a Windows 10 computer, an android tablet, an iphone 15 and a macbook pro. After about ½ a day I finally managed to get Sonos to see the USB drive on my Macbook pro but there seems like no way that it will look at the NAS drive connected to the router.Is it even possible to still access a NAS drive? I’ve looked at all of the advice online that I can find but nothing seems to work :-(As an ex software designer/developer I often wonder whether companies do any testing at all before they release new software and firmware.Now from being rather fond of Son

I just installed two Era 100 speakers in my living room. How do I get both speakers to work at the same time?

So I often listen to music on my system when I am not watching TV - its sub optimal obviously.The fact that the ERA 300’s are set as surround means that their main front firing Driver is disabled for music.Would it not be a simple software fix to engage the front firing drivers if the user/owner has selected to listen to music from known music only sources - eg Sonos and Tidal etc.   

Since the last update 80.02.05 which happened 6/24 I can no longer update nor create or save any old or new alarms. I thought everything was fixed until they messed everything up again with the latest update. Does anybody else have this problem? This is extremely frustrating seeing how Sonos could be so incompetent...these updates.

When I first set up the Sonos ZP90, it successfully connected.But a few days later both Windows and Android apps couldn’t find my ZP90.An orange light blinks continually. It doesn’t turn to green.I tried to reset it several times but it didn’t work.

Hi all,I noticed something odd that might be worth sharing. I never had issues with the new sonos app. My app loads in about a second (at least with recent updates).That said yesterday I started having issues when trying yo stream from tidal. And I also noticed that opening the sonos app took now 10 seconds or more. The problem continued this morning.At that point I realised that the sonos app had a “playlist” in my history, probably because I started a song from there few days ago. So I tried to delete the playlist, so that now my history says “Your recent history will show here once you've played some content”. And bam, now the app is back to start in s second or so, and the problems streaming from tidal are gone.Is it possible that the people running into issues with the sonos app are using it more for streaming music, as opposed to stream from external apps? If you have issues, I wonder if clearing history is something worth trying: it made a massive

The bass setting between 0 and +10 results in very little change in intensity. Can this be fixed without buying more Sono equipment. 

Hi All,I've installed my new Arc Ultra but I was receiving only stereo PCM.Reading on the internet I found to disable Dolby Atmos on my LG tv etc and use passthrough on my HDMI Arc interface but nothing seemed to work.Contacted Sonos and investigated the issue for quite some time also got higher support involved. End conclusion was to contact LG as it seems that the HDMI Arc interface only seem to support Stereo PCM.As I only have HDMI Arc and not eArc I thought that could have been the problem?To fix this I thought I buy a hdmi to optical connector so I could at least try the optical connection dolby digitial and not dolby atmos.Finally I found the problem: It was the setting on the ZIGGO Media box next, it was set to stereo.I should have tried my chromecast or ip connection on the tv that would have also turned out the issue was not the tv but the Media box. Maybe a bit stupid after all but just wanted to share this, in case

I have just updated my Sonos system from old S1 components to latest ERA3 etc - which sound great by the way - but I cannot get the new controller app to upload my music library from my Wondows PC - I had this function with the old S1 controller but I cannot get the library to opulate in the new updated app.  It says that the music library is beign shared but it remains empty. I have tried numerous means to do this by following info on this site but nothing is working. Very frustrating

I watched my shows last night with my Sonos Ace so that my wife is not bothered with the sound. Worked perfectly! The headphones were so comfortable I ended up falling asleep with them on. This is the second time this happened. With that, I woke up to a completely dead pair of headphones which isn’t the worst thing in the world. Quick charge got them ready for my day pretty quickly.  I’m probably an outlier and there are other patches/fixes to work on but in the future, can we get a “sleep” feature for the headphones akin to the sleep feature on tvs?  Thanks!

This must be another great feature of the ‘new’ app..Have never had a problem changing routers in the past but am now forced to replace my router and find I cannot reconnect my speakers without resetting them and losing all my playlists etc..This surely cannot be the case, there must be a way of updating the configuration of each of my 4 speakers, 3 x Play1 and 1 x One (Gen1)?Can someone offer me a different solution please?

Took me 3 passes to get all 9 speakers updated to 16.4.4 (build 81.1.58210) firmware.No EQ related settings were reset, thankfully. So far.There's also a software update available for the Ace. No indication that TrueCinema has been activated 👿👿Bottom Line: Not Helpful.

I have Sonos since almost 10 years. Never a problem. Since the interface changed (with same smartphone-iPhone):can’t read my playlists. Jumping from a title to another without being able to read titles that actually can be read individually outside the playlist remote control of volumes and others very slow. Effectively lowering volume 5 -10 seconds after lowering it remotely. is anyone experiencing same?thanks

My play 5 gen2 won’t connect with WiFi or with Ethernet cable 

After a lot of aggro I finally shared my music library, after installing a BT Mesh on a Windows 11 PC.I was getting the 913 and 1002 errors, which I didn’t get when setting SONOS up directly to my router (no mesh).  Hope this helps someone, as I couldn’t find a fix on here that helped me. File Explorer, right click on the music folder (mine is Jally Music) click on “Show More Options” click “Give Access To” select “Specific People” Type Sonos and hit return (it adds ‘Sonos Wireless Hifi System’ to the access list) Click the Share button to end the process Return to the Sonos app and add your music library againGood luck. 

hi there, I recently purchased a Sonos Move 2. My friend is hosting a backyard party in 2 weeks. She has Sonos in the house but asked if she could borrow my Move 2 to provide music in the backyard. Is there an easy way to sync my Move 2 with her house speakers so they play together? Thank you.

When using AirPlay through the Tidal app, I’m able to connect to my non-AirPlay compatible speakers (Play:1, Connect, Sonos IKEA and Roam). Yet, when I AirPlay through the Sirius/XM app, I only see my compatible ERA 100 & Beam gen 2. 

Updated my Mac to Sequoia 15.0.  I have lost all music from my libraries. I re-added the path- no luck. Anyone experience this?
