Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hey why is the app getting worst??? S1 app performs way better than the current one where lack of usability, performance and backward compatibility starts to be a deal breaker to me. Working in software industry I can’t comprehend this.

I connected my youtube music account but I can't seem to use anything. I can't see any of my playlists or search up any songs.Ive tried disconnecting and reconnecting yt music to sonos and even reauthorise. Nothing works. Please help anyone?Also spotify works fine.

I have created a number of playlists on the previous version of the Sonos app, but can’t add any more songs to them with the new version of the app. This is so frustrating! When are you, (Sonos), going to rectify this issue? I have put off buying any new Sonos products until I’m completely satisfied with this new app.

My Patio setup with Amp and Polk speakers won’t connect with any other rooms.  I can play music through the Patio, however, it won’t sync with other rooms even with the Patio next to the living room.  All other rooms can connect with each other without issue. I’ve reset the router, disconnected the power to the Amp, shut down the App.  Nothing seems to work so far. I submitted a diagnostics: **********Moderator edit: recorded and removed diagnostics number

I have updated to the Apps/Controller/Firmware. The Music library indexing on my NAS now looks very strange. There are duplicate entries for many Albums. The Songs are not ordered correctly within the albums.It seems to be related to the fields for Album Artist and Contributing Artist though that is not conclusive.I have my files organised into:\\Sonos\Music\Artist\Album\Songs(with Track No. at beginning i.e. “01 Song Name” ).This has worked for many years now.Can anybody help with a description on how the the files and details within the MP£ files should be done or is this just another bug introduced by Sonos within their software? Will they ever get a release right!Also the advanced settings for the Music Library are missing from the IOS app. On the PC I have the Group Albums by Album Artist set. Sort Songs by song number, Contributing Artists is not ticked.Any help would be appreciated.Chris

I use to be able to control the volume with my iPhone volume up or down and now I can’t, Lame , what’s up with that?

Hey Guys, Forgive me if this has been solved elsewhere but I can’t seem to find someone having the exact same issue.I have my music stored on a WD NAS hard drive. When I go to add my folders (using the network path) I chuck in my username and password and click ‘add’ it just loads and sits there. Nothing happens.I don’t think it's actually doing anything. I have purposefully put in the network path in wrong with a wrong password and it still just loads. I kind of expected the app to say ‘wrong filepath’ or ‘wrong password’ or similar. So I'm unsure if the app is actually talking to the NAS.I have updated all my speakers, and the app. I have ensured that my NAS is not using SMB 1Any solutions or wait for another app update?Thanks for your help   

It stops playing music all the time. I have followed every step instructed by sonos and nothing solves the problem. I am ready to trash the whole system and abandon the sonos company al together. They know nothing about sound and tech when put together. And there tech support is sub standard. I will by bang and o for my next system or go back to studio speakers 

is it me or is the sonos MISSING MUSIC LIBRARY  sorted from the poor updated app they  released a few months ago, still getting error 913.. checked all file sharing settings etc won't recognise my MUSIC FOLDER ON MAC,I don't have a  NAS DRIVE EITHER  any help would be greatly appreciated 

My Music Library (on a NAS drive) is not accessible (again - it was back for a few days in late October) from my iPhone/iPad Sonos app.I can see and access it  from my MacOS app (and my playlists), and am able to play albums, playlists from MacOS, but the library just isn’t visible from the iPad or iPhone.I’ve tried rebooting all the devices, and checked that the apps are up to date. I tried deleting and re-entering the share path to the share on both the iPhone and iPad://IAN-MEDIA-SERVE/Public/Shared Music   (no uername/passwored needed)(this is the same path used on the MacOS App).but I get the error message “Unable to Connect - check the username and password”There is no username and password for this path ….. . 

When I sign in to the Web App it shows I have two systems. I only have one. I sold a Sonos Roam months ago and I guess they haven’t registered it yet, so it still shows in my Account and I assume that is System 2. I believe it is causing problems with connecting regularly that I am experiencing.I contacted Sonos twice to resolve this and they are inept. Is there anything I can do?

Have had my Sonos system in my house for 7years, and the recent poor app has been annoying but is it getting worse? Yesterday, attempted to ask Google nest to play the radio station on the pair of Play 3 speakers in the kitchen and was told there wasn’t any devices..  Looked at my Sonos app and had a blank screen saying “Not Connected”, as in no devices connected.  Thought, it was due to an update in the app, so reset 4 out 5 Sonos devices and reconnected to my Sonos app.  All was good again, and hoped that things would get better within the Sonos ecosystem system!? This morning, opened the Sonos app…… Not Connected….? Really Sonos? My Playbar and one of my Play3 has a wired Ethernet connection and have recently stopped over to Alta Labs AP’s. i loved my Sonos system, but if this is going to be a daily occurrence, it’s time to bin the lot!

I have updated to the new app. I have two speakers.  The Play1 is working fine but the One SL , although it is showing,  will not play. I have factory reset it so system can find it, that worked fine. I can see it in settings in the list and the room it is in. It just won’t play!Any ideas please?

Has this problem got a solution for a Mac, yet? Just tried it and it fails with a 913 error. Mac is on MacOS Monterey 12.7.5

I got two Era 100 speakers yesterday and set them up using the SONOS app.  I paired and even tuned them.  I expected stereo for every device and app I connected, but that’s not what happened.At first, two SONOS era 100 with stereo pairing played left side only. I unplugged both speakers. later, the Sonos app played stereo for Radio or Spotify attached to the app.  Switching to some other app outside of SONOS goes back to a single (left) speaker - and stays there until I unplug both speakers. Also, I cannot get stereo to play from our iMac ever (the whole reason I got these speakers!!).  To get stereo from the SONOS app, I must unplug both speakers and then go straight to the SONOS app on my phone. what should I do so that both speakers play in stereo mode regardless of which device I use?  I also want to use other apps besides SONOS on my phone.

Does anyone know if you can pair the Sonos Move 2 to any of the soundbars and make them a surround system?

In addition to using the Android app, I’ve always used the desktop app on Windows 11. Was working fine until about a month ago.I open the app and I get a message saying saying check for updates.Checks updates, confirms I’m running the latest version.System then asks me the followingThen the system checks and the whole process starts again, More options offers to reset app, submit diagnostics. Whatever I do, it just ends up back to square one.I’ve removed the app and re-installed it, the same. I’ve downloaded the app on to my work laptop, same resultPlease help !!

I installed 3 new sonos amp for my customer upgrading from their existing S2 sonos connect amp setup as they wanted to use airplay 2 features.after setting up the 3 x new sonos amps I tried to use one of the old sonos connect amp for an additional zone powering 2 x speakers. i factory reset the old connect amp and It initially allowed me to add to the new system but then kept saying that the connect amp needed to be added and would not complete the process and error message unplug power for device reconnect and try again. After several attempts i decided to remove and test back in my office. I factory reset the Sonos connect amp and have added it to a new system with 1 x sonos move. It seems to have added to the system fine and i can play spotify to each of the devices but if i try grouping them together it will not complete the task and error message unable to connect please try again later. Any help or guidance on this matter would be appreciated. 

I use sonos for playing old cds from music library.It now seems that it has duplicated albums and juggled the order of tracks around.Very frustrating as playing cds was the main reason to buy sonos.I can't face dealing with support again as it wastes loads of time. Any ideas how to rectify the duplicate album issue? ( they're OK on the laptop , so it's not the source material).  I have updated the app ( samsung A54) and the laptop plus tried to update the music library to no effect. This is subsequent to the phone app crashing a couple of days ago with message it's due to a bug.  Retry when developer resolves bug.  Also some songs have gone missing from sonos but are in the source directories  Has anyone any suggestions as to how resolve this?

What does the battery symbol with a lighten blot through next my sono move when trying to hook up to my system. ? 

Yesterday the Sonos app for Android forced me to update it.  I couldn't do anything in the app unless I updated.  I had been avoiding updating so I didn't lose the homescreen widget.So I updated.  I lost the homescreen widget as expected.  But I also lost something else - the playback controls in the persistent notification (and the lock screen).  Now I have to open the app by tapping the app icon to access playback controls. Notifications are enabled in App Preferences in Sonos app.  In phone settings, the app has all the notification permissions allowed.  App is allowed to run in background.  I tried rebooting the phone. Pixel 6, Android v14Is there a fix at this point or is this a known issue? 

Dear all, I've worked in IT my whole life and feel confident with computers, networks, and peripherals, but this Sonos issue has me stumped.My friend’s Sonos system includes seven devices: the Arc is on Ethernet, while the others use Wi-Fi on a new, high-speed Asus router. Everything works flawlessly, and the Sonos app opens smoothly on both his MacBook Pro and iPhone.The problem starts when we add a new Sonos Move 2 to the Wi-Fi. Although the router shows it as connected with no IP conflicts, the Sonos app immediately exits its active mode, displaying an error message instructing me to check network settings, firewall, and allow incoming traffic—all of which are already configured. Turning off the Move resolves the error, but turning it back on reintroduces it.Everything is updated to the latest software. Has anyone encountered this or can suggest a fix? It's driving me nuts! :)Best regards// Roberto

So new internet provider and router. Speakers can’t be found/ connect to new system. Do I have to do a factory reset or am I missing something here? 

good evening, I have a question. I bought two Sonos ERA 100, I wanted to connect them to my hi-fi system. if I bought the original line in adapter and I connect it to the system, do both speakers work or just the one connected with the cable? does the speaker not connected via cable communicate with the other one that I connected with the adapter? thanks
