Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hey,currently have a Move 2. Always have issues when it’s connected to the wifi. music sounds like a badly scratched cd and keeps skipping. I have a complete home theatre set up with Arc sound Bar 2x era300 and sub. All brought this year and I don’t have this issue. Have good connection to wifi. Bluetooth to Move2 works fine it’s only when it connected to wifi. Turning off and on my phone sometimes work. But I shouldn’t have to every time I want to listen to music. Any suggestions? Could this be a faulty Move2?  Thanks. 

Hello everyone,I'll try to be clear (although English is not my native language).My internet connection is via an LTE router (unfortunately I have no choice), which is not supported by Sonos.The idea would be to connect a Sonos Era 100 with an ethernet cable to the LTE router, so this Sonos Era 100 will create a dedicated wireless network specifically for my Sonos system.But I only want to connect "portable" Sonos to this systemQuestion:Will this dedicated wireless network allow "portable" Sonos (Move 2 or Roam 2) to work properly?Or on the contrary, are "portable" Sonos definitely excluded from a wired configuration anyway?I haven't been able to find a clear answer, and I thank you for your help.

It still seems that the latest version of the Android App is missing the TruePlay toggle. This is annoying in itself, but I also have an iPhone so have performed TruePlay tuning on that recently. My question is - is the TruePlay tuning running at all times? If I can't see the option to toggle on/off in the Android app, does that mean it's not running (or turns off) every time I use my Android app to control my system...? The surround sound options show something like "distance to left/right speaker > 2ft", whereas it used to be greyed out on the old Android app if TruePlay was enabled. What does this mean? When I access the system from my iPhone, TruePlay is there and is toggled on. But is it on only when I access it again with my iPhone..? Anyone have any idea here? (Probably not Sonos 😄)

So, with the launch of the new Google TV box, I couldn't help but upgrade. However, has anyone experienced audio sync being well out?  And seemingly the need for a minus correction option within the Arc sync correction settings? I don't seem to be able to add the topic tag of #GooglevTV

Arc is making a cracking sound intermittently.  Wassup with that!?!   Stuff costs too much to not work correctly.  it’s happening during active streaming and also when just resting on a homepage.   doesn’t happen when playing music.   

I have a new WiFi router and cannot connect my speakers to it

The volume cannot be increased past 15 in one of my rooms that has its own amp and uses ceiling speakers.  When I try to increase the volume it automatically adjusts itself down.To avoid confusion, I have no arc or TV in room, not is any other amp in my house tied to this room.  It is a standalone amp.

We have now had the new Sonos App for 3 months, here is what I have discovered so far.The old App is not coming back. I am not sure if this is down to Sonos being stubborn or inadequate planning for this as an option. Either way it is not coming back. There will not be a class action law suit. Simple truth is that, no matter what it feels like, our speakers still have the capabilities we paid for its just that the App won't let us access them effectively. The possible exception here is the users whose speakers appear to have been "bricked" by the App. The new App has some fundamental design issues and is generally slow to respond for a number of users. My personal experience is that changes, like volume, vary from instantaneous to 20/30 seconds to be applied.  I still don't think the new UI is "intuitive" but I have got used to its idiosyncrasies. As others would put it I have developed the requisite "muscle memory". The new App clearly works for some people but that does not in anyway

Can it be true that it is only the system owner, who can create and edit alarms?Can there be several system owners in the same household?Or is it it really true that I have to ask my husband for his login to change an alarm?

In my phone app the battery shows for the Roam as charging and a few minutes later the charging indicator is gone. Is this normal? I’m using the base charger for the Roam.

Hi,I have 7 sonos speakers and 1 Amp. All are physically connected to an Ethernet port of my switch.All the Plays are in Disable Wifi mode but I can't disable the Wifi for the Sonos Amp, the option is grayed out.Any advice ? 

Okay am i the only one here was thinking that 1k£ sound bar will be louder than sonos five ? I mean doesn’t sound louder at all than one of sonos fives and the price is double . And seems changing in so os app treble and bass doesn’t actually does anything am i the only one thinking like that and is it actually has to be like this ? 

My Move & Roam are not connecting properly to TV audio when added to the group. All my ‘non moveable’ speakers connect seamlessly. Both the Move and the Roam’s audio drops out every few seconds if I try connecting them to both my Beam or Ray while watching TV.There are no issues with connecting the Move and Roam to the Beam & Ray while listening to music. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? 

After having lost all of my alarms with the new app I was aware the function wasn’t there initially with the new app.This  week I decide to give the function go as the capability is now visible and I’ve set up two new alarms. Set daily for different speakers, at different times with different playlists. neither of them have worked yet.  I’d like to know categorically if I should be expecting this to work or not so I know whether to bother wasting time trying to troubleshoot it. 

Hi all, I have 2 Sonos ERA 300 and a Sonos BEAM 2 and as I have activated Surround mode, I can’t connect my ERA 300 in bluetooth (and I can’t connect my Bluetooth turntable anymore). Is there an easy way to switch from my Surround config’ to my Bluetooth config, without erase all my settings… I was happy with my Sonos system to listen music AND watch some films… Thanks

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with Sonos over the past few weeks, and figured I’d share it here. It all started with an order for a Roam speaker that I wanted to gift. Sonos sent it out, but the product never arrived. After contacting support multiple times, I was promised callbacks that never happened, and no one could offer any meaningful resolution or even track where the product was. Extremely disappointing for what should have been a straightforward order.But the more pressing issue is my current Sonos setup, which has been completely unreliable. Here’s what I’ve been dealing with:    •    My Arc skips and disconnects randomly.    •    My Era 300s shut off for 3-second intervals, interrupting the sound.    •    My Five can’t even be paired as part of a group without skipping issues.I’ve called support 5 times over 1+ weeks, sent diagnostic reports dozens of times (honestly, I’m not sure if it’s just sending a bunch of random 0s and 1s because none of this has solve

please help :( i can't connect my sonos 5 speaker to my lg tv.  i think the sonos 5 has bluetooth, but the tv doesn't detect it when the light is flashing blue and white.  the speaker chimes when it's flashing amber, not blue and white, but the tv doesn't detect it at all, no matter what that light is doing.  the input jack on the speaker looks like a sort of dummy ethernet port, not an HDMI or an audio jack, and i can't see any other input jacks.  no instructions came with the speaker, of course :(  help!  i'm in my fifties, so, you know.  thank you!

I’ve got several songs that won’t play on my Sonos. Most are older songs from 90s (Beck, Stone Temple Pilots). They show up in the queue but get skipped or I get the “not encoded correctly” message. I’m pretty much at my wits end with Sonos. Any suggestions?

Sometimes when I power on my LG TV (UM8070PUA) no sound will come through my Sonos arc speaker. It does t happen every time when I turn my tv on, but when I does happen, I have to unplug it and try to rest everything, (annoying). this has happened since I bought this speaker a few years ago. It’s annoying, does anyone know why this keeps happening and how do I fix it?!?

Sonos Move 2 application would be extend for support other character sets such us Latin2 Extended. This is song title in Czech lang. 

I have Era 300s and 100s in white. Is the Arc Ultra and Sub gen 4 white all the same shade of white? 

Hi, Installation of 2x Era 100 speakers -On setup, they appear one by one, exactly as they should do. They take a couple of minutes to join the Wi-Fi, and then they disappear.We’ve factory reset a couple of times and tried with different login accounts (4 in total) as we were getting this message “To manage these settings, sign out and sign back in as the owner of this system.” but I created the System, how am I not the owner? Firewall ports have been opened as per Sonos advice online.Can play over Airplay via Spotify, but it’s like they don’t exist when trying to access through the Sonos app.Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

I am using Android S2 V80.10.06 of 20041007 and Firmware S2 81.1-58074.While the current firmware has corrected the indexing of the local library where Album Artist and Artist are not the same, allowing compilation albums to list correctly, which is great, there is still at least one anomaly in the way Search works.  This is compounded by the fact that, in S2, you can no longer specify which field (Artist/Songs/Albums etc) is to be searched as you could before the May update.  You can now only enter a search term and hope for the best.For this example, I am using the artist Aretha Franklin, for whom I have 2 Albums with her as the Album Artist and 8 compilations where she is the Artist of a single Song.A search for her comes up with the following where it has found her name as Artist and as part of the title of the one Album shown.Tapping on the Artist icon gets me thiswhich lists all 10 albums with her tracks on, including the second album with her as Album Artist (A Natural Woman...)

When will this be on the Sonos Road map?  There is no reason for Sonos to force customers to spend more money on the larger sub if they already own the mini’s.  This is just greedy practices.If this will never be on the roadmap, please advise, so i can start to phase my future purchases to another companys product.  Sonos has not done well by its loyal customers and this is a simple fix if you wanted to generate some good faith among customers that you would like to keep.
