I am looking at upgrading our home theater to an Arc Ultra and in ceiling speakers.  Just wanting this clear in my mind before I order everything.  If I connect the Arc Ultra to the TV with an eARC HDMI,  does the amp also need to be connected to the TV and / or the Ultra?  From reading it seems that connection happens wirelessly but some of the schematics on the manuals show an HDMI to the Arc Ultra and to the Amp.

Thank you

You will first install both units as a system of two “Rooms”. Next connect ARC’s HDMI-eARC connection to the TV and get ARC providing TV audio. Finally, add the AMP to ARC as the surround. The result will be a single surround Room. The ARC will “Bond” with AMP using a private 5GHz wireless link. If you like, you can wire ARC or both to the network, but this is not required. I’m anal about wiring, but the system will work fine with well laid out WiFi.

Thanks!  Exactly what I was looking for.
