I am thinking about redoing the audio in our family room and using an amp to run two towers and a center speaker. Back in the day, we would create a center channel by grabbing the negative of one side and run it to the positive of the speaker. Then we would grab the positive of the other side and run it to the negative of the speaker. Or we would series the center with the two fronts. I believe the amp has to have a grounded output and not be bridged. I am not familiar with the Sonos amp’s internals enough to know if this is the case or not. Does anyone have a similar setup like this?

The Amp doesn’t ‘serve’ a center channel. When using the HDMI input (and a 5.1 input), it creates a faux center channel, interpreted by the front right and front left speakers. There have been no reports from people who find this objectionable, but that’s the only ‘center’ channel it supports.
I don’t think the Sonos Amp is going to support any wiring to a center speaker.
I looked into this when it first came out but haven’t read the manual / specifications since but I believe it hasn’t changed.
