Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hello,  I have recently purchased a new LG G5 OLED tv and a new Sonos Arc Ultra and Sub 4 (+ 2 ERA 100s, not hooked into home theater, they are set up in a different room). I am experiencing audio skipping that is quite frequent and very frustrating. Sometimes it happens every few minutes sometimes 2-3 times night. It tends to be more frequent than not. It happens with anything I stream from my tv, does not happen if I have my xbox hooked up or stream music from my phone. Here is my set up. LG OLED G5 (2025 model), hooked up with Sonos Arc ultra and Sub 4. This problem has occurred when connecting to my tv both through bluetooth and hdmi arc. This issue has happened since day 1 out of the box.  To mention this issue did not happen with my new tv and old samsung sound bar, it only started happening with the new Sonos set up. I love the sound from the sound bar and sub, but the skipping is driving me crazy.

I had an old Telia router (Fast) and suddenly my Move speakers did not appear in my app. I tried to reconnect and even after a reset they were not accessible nor visible. After I spoke to Sonos support in Norway 🇳🇴 they were aware of the problem with Telia routers, which delivers internet access/subscription in Norway. I followed their advice to contact Telia support who also was aware of the problem with some old access routers. Luckily I could change the router for free. But what a waste of time. Does anyone got a clue of might cause the incompatibility. Has Sonos upgraded security protocols or network lately I wober?

I can’t set up my play 5 gen 2 to wifi. I can only Connect it vía an ethernet cable. I ve tried everything and nothing works.

Hi,I want a speaker setup for my smaller living room, where i want to have an Era 100 or the Beam/ray and connect a roam 2 with it. Most of the time they would be playing music side-by-side but i’d like to pick up the roam and take it with me to the bathroom or balcony or wherever. I hear online that there would be a delay when both playing. Would this be the case or are they perfectly compatible? It’s not the newest TV but also not old. It has smart play, but i mostly use it with my apple TV. I usually play songs on youtube or watch netflix. If i connect everything to my apple TV and use it through WIFI is the delay going to be noticable? Also, perhaps the solution would be that normally only the Era is running and only when i want to move i turn the Roam 2 on and take it with me? I would really appreciate some assistance.

I've been using my Sonos 5.2 setup with an Arc, 2 Sonos One SL and 2 Subs for the last 4 years and its been working great.  I noticed that one of the Sonos One was not connected, decided to do a factory reset and connected it to the system, and it won't show up.  I thought I was doing something wrong.  Kept on redoing the whole factory reset until I realized that the Sonos One was getting added but creating a separate system.  I don't know why this is happening.  So I decided to factory reset all of the devices and connect them one by one.  First the Arc, then the two subs, then the Sonos One and lastly the other Sonos One.  All but the last Sonos One connected to the same system.  And this other Sonos One keeps creating its own system to connect to.  I have been trying to figure this out for the last 2 days and probably have been at it for 10 hours now.  Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.  I have restarted my network, rebooted my modem and router to no avail.

In our Family Room, I have an Arc, a Sub, and an Amp (connected to two Yamahas) to complete a surround sound system. When having guest over, I often want to have music play throughout the house, including in the Family Room, but have the TV (muted) playing a sporting event. On a few occasions I’ve lucked into this setup. But I’d like to know the proper way to make this happen when I need to.

Hi, Do you know if Sonos will support Qobuz Connect ? The Qobuz app has some features that the Sonos  app does not… Thanks.

I would like to purchase a bluetooth pickup for my acoustic guitar and stream it to my Sonos Roam. Has anyone done this?

Hi everyone,  I’ve been experiencing occasional audio dropouts on my Sonos setup over the last week. The music will play fine for a while, then suddenly cut out for a second or two before resuming. It’s not constant, but noticeable enough to be distracting.I’ve already tried rebooting my router and speakers, and the signal strength in the room seems okay. Before I start changing network settings or switching channels, I wanted to ask the community:- Is this usually related to WiFi interference?- Does enabling or disabling SonosNet make a difference?- Any recommended steps for diagnosing where the issue is coming from?Would really appreciate any tips from people who’ve dealt with similar dropouts. Thanks! 

I’m exploring changes in our home music system. For decades, we’ve used a NAD receiver ( a C740 from around 1998) with two passive Polk speakers, a CD player and a turntable, all in the living room. The NAD has no phono pre-amp so I’ve wired one in and we play our vinyl successfully. We’ve recently added a pair of ERA 100’s in a separate room, and finally joined the streaming generation via Tidal. Love it. In a third room, we’ve added a Beam 2 and a mini-sub to our TV set-up. Love those, too. Sometimes I add that room in when listening to music via Tidal. But right now, the old-school stereo isn’t connected to the Sonos gear. As a separate matter, we’d like to swap out the stereo’s pair of Polk SDA Compact bookshelf speakers (which ain’t so compact) for a pair of smaller speakers. The Sonos 5’s come to mind as a means by which the old NAD can connect with the new. Ideally that connection could work both ways.The NAD has left and right channel pre-amp OUT ports in case

I cannot get the studio pair of era 300’s to work in conjunction of the existing theater system

Hallo all.I recently bought a Beam (gen 2), mini-sub and 2x Era100. Beam connects fine most the time, mini sub connects but doesn’t link or register so doesn’t make sound. When I attach the eras, they connect and can play music. When I try to play the same music on all three (without mini sub), it won’t let me. And it keeps saying cannot connect, please try again later.generally speaking, the whole system seems to be intermittently connecting to whatever it chooses. we don’t have a wifi extender, but we do have smart bulbs and plugs that use wifi connectivity.any ideas…? Would be super appreciated! :-)

I’m considering upgrading from my Apple homepods to a Sonos multi-room system for an improved sound and movie experience.I believe I can use my Apple Music and Spotify accounts already without issue.But before I make the jump I’d also like to know if I can listen to Lbc, Classic FM and Gold UK radio stations without a preroll ad or jingles before I start listening.I’m not a fan of the tunein radio model and would also  not be interested in any more subscriptions, I have more than enough of those already.Considering the outlay will be substantial, could someone please help out, before I make an order.Thanks for the heads up on this subject.

I recently stumbled upon the very interesting web app. I have three different locations on the same Sonos account, each with its own system (Home, Work, Office). The web app allows me to control and manage multiple systems remotely, which is fantastic.Once I've connected a system, I can't switch to another one. I have to disconnect and reconnect, but I can't change systems. Each time, I have to disconnect, clear all history and cookies to see the system options when I log in.Question 1: Do you have a simpler solution for switching between the Home, Work and Office systems (these are 3 different addresses)? Hi All,I am no longer able to listen to a station on myTuner Radio and I’m trying to get to the bottom of it.The station I’m trying to play is “Classical California KDFC.” It has worked for years without issue, but now I get the message “Couldn’t play content. Try again.” The station will play just fine on TuneIn, but I have no interest in using an app that plays 3 hours of ad rolls before a stream begins. It also plays through Sonos Radio since that is just a patch-through circus of ads from TuneIn. I have tried playing the station through my favorites and have tried starting a stream through a fresh search in case the URL has been updated, but it didn’t help. The stream works just fine when I use the myTuner website, so there doesn’t appear to be anything wrong with the stream—it seems isolated to Sonos. https://mytuner-radio.com/radio/kd

Tinny, Metallic, Physically Painful Audio on Beam Gen 2 After Several Months of Use – Am I Going Crazy? Hi everyone,I’m having a really frustrating issue with my Beam Gen 2 and I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar or can point me in the right direction.After about 6–8 months of use, the sound quality suddenly becomes extremely harsh and unpleasant, especially when using Audible or Spotify through the Sonos app. Voices take on a tinny, metallic, almost “radio-crackle” distortion, and the highs become so sharp that it causes physical ear pain and worsens my tinnitus, even at low volumes. At the same time, the mids become barely audible, and the lows turn into a solid wall of sound, almost muddy and overpowering.This has now happened with two different Beam Gen 2 units, both showing the same symptoms after several months both at 6 to 8 months. I have an open concept first floor with a Sonos beam on a wall mounted TV. I have the amp and 4 speakers not sure where to place them anyone have some suggestions. I don't really need surround sound for the TV looking for more audio for the room. Do i need all 4? what should I do? 

As the title says, I tried hooking up my Hisense 65Q9G to the Arc Ultra via ARC and have not been able to get 5.1 to come through properly. If I set the audio channel to in mpv (video player) to stereo or 2.1 the sound seems to come through fine, but when 5.1 is sent to the TV centre (or front in general) channel audio is missing, so dialog are notably absent. This is when the source is my desktop, which was sending 5.1 DD successfully to my old Denon AVR. Playing a video from the TVs Prime app seems to work (5.1 surround), so it seems the issue may just be a failure to pass-through, rather than not being able to provide the data to the Sonos via ARC at all. Does anyone have any experience with this or similar “old” TVs with ARC? It is starting to look like my only option if I want to stick with the Sonos setup is to upgrade to a TV with eARC (with confirmation that the particular model actually handles external pass-through properly).PS: ARC is indeed selected in the Audio m

Why is there no method to directly remove a speaker?  I have to wait for a timeout for my blown Sub 3 to be removed?These nanny-only methods are infuriating.  Some of your customers want to just get things done.  SONOS you can do better. 

Is it safe to install Sonos 8 inch speaker in the drywall without any reinforcement? They weight 9lbs each and will be installed on double drywall ceiling without additional bracing/reinforcement on a retrofit project. 

One of the stand pole caps, for Era 300 stand, cracked during installation.  How do I get a replacement? 

My play5 gen2 operate only by Ethernet. No way to Connect by Wi-Fi. Suggestions?

Volume level slide bar will appear but an attempt to adjust volume makes it vanish or on occasion the slide bar won't appear at all. Anyone else have this issue? Resolution? Also any way to get the volume level number to appear on the tv screen? It sure is irritating to have to open the app just to see what level I am at.

Are there any speakers or a sub that can be paired original arc?

I have the beam soundbar connected via HDMI (eARC), with a Sub Mini connected wirelessly to the beam.   Each time I turn the tv off, the sub disconnects from the Beam.  I have to unplug the Beam, then power it back on - the sub reconnects.  Any suggestions to keep the Sub Mini connected to the Beam?
