Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have a Samsung 49NU7500, connected to a Youviewbox, a blu-ray player and my Sonos Beam.Ok, so my 10yo Youview box was nearing its end of life, so i purchase a brand new one.Today, i set up the new box, by basically swapping the wires at the back of the 2 Youview boxes over.Set up was straight forward as expected.However, i can only control the sound with the Sonos app now, whereas i could use the Youview remote to do this previously.Any idea how to remedy this ?Any help gratefully received...1st post, so be kind :)

I'm using Yousee Musik as my only source of music on Sonos. It works smoothly for a day or maybe two, then it stops working. It won't play any songs. Sometimes search work sometimes I doesn't. If I go and reauthorize in settings then it works again.I can schedule any favorite song or playlist via Home Assistant, so it's seems like it is not the Sonos System that is the problem. It's only the new fantastic app that is loosing connectivity. Being a long time software engineer myself, it looks like someone is not good at handling `refresh tokens` as it seems to be a problem every time I haven't used the app for a while. Are anyone still experiencing the same problem as me?

Hi everyone, I have three separate Sonos setups—one at home, one at work, and one I installed for my parents.I registereed each system under a different email account.Whenever I switch locations, I have to log in and out of each account.Has anyone consolidated multiple Sonos systems under a single email account? Does it work smoothly, or does it create registration issues?If I moved to them all on one email account, would this mean I won’t get prompted to log in each time?Or does it start confusing the systems?I’d love to hear how others manage multiple setups efficiently. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I recently purchased Arc Ultra, 2x Era 100 & Sub 4 to produce cinematic sound throughout the living room. The TV (Panasonic TX50CX802B) unfortunatly is old but has Arc input which is the current method of setup, but only outputs stereo. Without purchasing a new TV with Dolby Vision / Atmos, is there any way I can extend my experience and get awesome sound with my latest sonos purchases?I have been suggested purchasing a media player (Amason Fire Cube Gen3) as it has a HDMI input and output, could that work?Any suggestions welcome apart from buying a new TV which will cost me same as the whole of the new Sonos Kit, agreed there are cheap brand TV, but i do not prefer buying it and lose out on the screen quality.  Thanks 

I’ve had my Sonos Roam 1 since release, when taking it on holiday it has always connected to BT easily by holding the button for a couple of seconds until the ding, then the light goes blue. I’ve just got back from holiday and found that this no longer works, I hear the ding but then it just carries on flashing white. I’ve just been testing it at home and found that it does eventually connect to BT when no wifi is found, but it took 3-4 minutes after pressing the button before the light turned blue.Can anyone advise what to do to fix this? I has the latest firmware installed. Switching to BT when wifi is connected is instant

Current Problems:Recently Played, whenever local library music played, CAN NOT click and play again!!! It shows not available and grey. Online Streaming services like Apple Music, Tidal, Spotify is obviously lower sound volume, than local Library. It's been over years! (Using Sonos AMP, Arc and Era300s) No Live Activity, No Control Center, No Widgets and No iOS dynamic Island control!! This is been over years missing features. 3rd party app can even do better than Sonos official. No Apple TV tvOS / Android TV app, not allow users to control or display the music album cover in large display. It’s not good for consumers to enjoy the music playing.

Has anyone received an update on the Metallic/Robotic/Tinny sound from the Beam 2 (and other sound bars) under vocals? I see this issue has been widely reported for years - initially blamed on HDMI signals from certain TV brands - but users have experienced it across many models, including Samsung, LG, and Sony. Suggested “fixes” include buying surrounds to mask the problem, turning the treble way down, or using an optical cable instead of HDMI (which defeats the purpose of Atmos), but none of these actually resolve it. Despite acknowledging the problem in community threads for years, Sonos continues to tell people to contact support and send sound samples/diagnostics for analysis. If they already recognize the issue, why keep pushing for more samples for years? I wish I’d found these threads before buying.

I'm on the beta program and in the UK. I asked Alexa to play BBC Radio 4 this morning and it said it couldn't. I asked Sonos Voice instead and it said the same. An Alexa device has no problem.I tried on various Sonos devices and got the same response. I rebooted my Move 2 and it still couldn’t play. I opened the Sonos (beta) app and it asked to be updated and took me to the downloads page, but there is no new app to download. I tried reinstalling the existing version and it still insists on being updated. 

Is anyone else experiencing a crackling noise with their Arc Ultra? I upgraded from the Arc to the Arc Ultra, which is connected to a pair of Era 300s and two subs. The crackling sound has been intermittent, mainly occurring when streaming movies.

When I use the sleep timer a new bug seems to have been introduced. When the timer ends the music or podcast fades out as expected, but then you get a second or so of music again before the sound stops. Anyone else experiencing this?

Good day everyone, I'm having trouble playing content from different music platforms on one my sonos one sl. When pairing it with another speaker, it'll play the content. When trying to start it on that particular speaker, it'll say can't play content, something went wrong. It says in the app under the name of that speaker no content.The speaker and app are up to date.Any ideas what the problem is?Thank you.Phil

The play 5 gen 1 sees the temporary Sonos network but will not connect to it 

Newly added 2 speakers to my system and moved from s1 to I think 2. Music won’t pause, listening to Spotify content using Sonos app. Set up was a nightmare with multiple speakers taking many attempts to connect to my house group but all done now. How Spotify get away with this awful app I don’t know. I thought I was continuing to buy a premium product, sadly full of bugs.. any ideas how to get pause working on the app?

I have a Port, and in the Line-In settings the Source Name is ‘Turntable’, when I select the Line-in in another room, it doesn't display the Source Name, it just displays ‘Audio Component’. Should it display the name that is configured in the Port Settings? eg, HiFi is the Port, when I select the Line-In in the Lounge, it displays ‘Audio Component’ 

I have just recently upgraded my home broadband from Sky to a faster Vodofone Ultra. Before the upgrade the SONOS system was perfect. After the upgrade my my speakers are not connecting but only a certain few. In my living room I have the SONOS Arc, 2 x Play 1’s and a Sub. I have connected the Arc to to the router (WiFi) but the surround speakers connect and drop out. I have tried various ways to connect but nothing seems to work. Is there a simple and easy fix? 

I am so disappointed I kinda want to scream.  The company is worried about “badges” when their basic system is almost flatlining for me.  I had 13 pieces (responsible for the purchase of 40 others) and my system is almost flatlining.  Right now two Moves and the Amp are working.  I can’t get the S1 AP to even work as it immediately goes to a flash screen that you should use S2 because ALL components work on it (they don’t and Sonos knows it!).  In the vernacular of my old Navy days - YHGTBFSM!  I really don’t even know where to start.  

I plan to buy a pair of Era 100 speakers. I use Apple Music. I would like to connect my iPad via the Schitt Modi 3 DAC to the line in using the Sonos line in adapter. Will this set up offer better sound quality when playing hi-res Apple Music than using Airplay 2 over wifi. 

I’m running a mixed environment in Ubiquiti with about 10 devices. 4 are hardwired and the rest on my Wireless network. My goal is to not run sonosnet - and I don’t think I am.However, one of my Ports won’t stay disconnected to wifi.  I can disable it from the app, but a few minutes later it reenables it. What’s funny is that my router shows it as hardwired.I saw the advice in the following post, but it was 4 years ago… about hardwiring directly to the router (this is two switches in currently. Seems odd, but does that still work?WiFi Keeps re-enabling and kicking system out of "mixed mode" | Sonos Community  

My Sonos Play:1 gets lost to my home system every time the Sonos app is updated on my phone. Interestingly my Sonos One players stay in the network but the Play:1 is only visible if it is connected via ethernet cable. If I reset the speaker and add it connected via cable, in the process the speaker is updated as well and after another reset I can add it again via wifi. This is a very tedious procedure considering that there are usually multiple updates per month.Currently (App release 80.24.32-release+20250717.e5bcd8b) even this solution does not work, so that I can use my Play:1 only hardwired (which is pretty idiotic for a wifi-speaker)

I’ve got a very frustrating issue going on. I’ve got a pair of Sonos One speakers that I foolishly tried to update to the S2 controller. I have nothing but problems since doing this. To get the speakers connected to the S2 controller, I have to do a (cumbersome) factory reset. When I finally get the speakers connected to the S2, everything works great, and I spend a couple hours listening to music.However the next day when I try to listen to music again, the S2  tells me “No products found” on my network. It prompts me to go to system settings. When I do that, it says me system can’t be found on my network, and prompts me to update my network. When I do that, it finds my two Sonos One speakers but says they are unable to update these products, and instructs me to factory reset them. So of course I spend 20 minutes doing two factory resets, and everything works. Until the next day when it tells me to do the same thing over again.I tried to downgrade to the S1 controller (which used to w

A wonderful playlist was spontaneously generated on my Sonos app titled Sunday Afternoon Mix from my personal music files collected over decades on various media then manually up loaded to Apple Music and combined with my iTunes library. 9,000 plus in total.   The mix generated by the Sonos app is the best I could have put together on my own. Problem is that I can only enjoy the playlist on my Sonos 2 platform but not my legacy S1 platform. I can live with that but would very much like to migrated the playlist to Apple Music or my hard drive/cloud so I can enjoy it remotely.Does anyone have a solution?Thanks, Murray

Hello there, I own three play:3 speakers and one connected amp.For a few years i did not use that set, cause i’ve lived somewhere else, but few mounts ago i've come back and power the speakers on, but i’ve encountered a lot of problems.With Sonos support i’ve been successful to update 2 of 3, but last one still giving me headache.I've been on the support chat on the website, but they could not help me, so i’ve been told to make a call to the support team.I did that, but two calls later and almost two hours wasted making me do stuff that is already done tens of times with the chat support (also provide case number) there’s been only frustration and nothing more.Frustration comes from that the support people on the phone, 4 or 5 people, not sure how many times they swap, fallowed some basic guidelines and don’t fallow the specific case. Also when they saw that can’t resolve my issue prompted me like ten times to send my speaker and buy new one with discount. Well, sorry, but i have three

Just recently started having issues with my arc ultra! We have to have the volume up at like 50+ to get a decent volume out of the arc! Before we wouldn’t have to have it any louder than 20 to get decent volume. We can talk over max volume on the hdmi and music through the app! Very frustrating! I called Sonos and they had me run a diagnostic test and said everything is ok. But I don’t know how they can tell when the volume is at 20 or 40 or max, how loud the volume really is or should be. I really would just like to send it back and get another one! Something is definitely wrong though.

I currently have a Playbase paired with a pair of Ones and a Sub gen 3.  I am very happy with it except for the fact that the Playbase does not connect with the Ace and I cannot upgrade the pair of Ones to a pair of Era 100s. Did anyone ever have a similar setup as mentioned above and then upgraded to a Beam gen 2 or Arc Ultra, with a pair of Era 100s, and a Sub?  If so, how does the sound experience compare. Thanks in advance for your comments. 

My Sub gen 2 (bought used) will connect to my system and will play bass for a few seconds but then it clicks and no longer plays. I’ve reset it, reset the zp120, factory reset the sub, recalibrated the sub and reset the router and no luck. Any other suggestions? Out of all of my Sonos products this is the first time I’ve had an issue over 15+ years.
