I just received a push notification on my iPhone suggesting I check out the “Hit List” on Sonos Radio.

That’s odd… I’m pretty sure I had turned marketing notifications off:

Does Sonos no longer honor this preference?

Sonos has generally been good in the past about honoring this preference and not abusing its notification access. I’m hoping this is just a one-time oversight that will be quickly fixed.

That’s certainly odd. I have turned off all marketing information, although I think (it’s been a long time ago) I did so on the website (www.sonos.com) in my account settings. I certainly haven’t received this push notification on either my iPhone or my iPad.

If it’s also turned off on the website, it certainly would seem there’s an issue, I’d be tempted to call Sonos Support to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Looks like to get the relief you want requires a two-pronged approach. In addition to “Message Preferences” go into “App Preferences” and turn off “Allow Pop-up Messages”. Hopefully that will resolve your issue.

You may also want to log-in at Sonos.com…scroll down and click on “Your Privacy Choices”:

Then scroll down to “Sale of Personal Data” and turn it off and click “Confirm My Choices”.
