Where should I put my new era 300s? Open to wall mounting too

so I have an ongoing problem with a Era 100 stereo pair - they just disappear from the app for a period of time. The interesting thing is that you look into a lot of reports of this problem, it’s always right speaker that is causing it, it crashes out taking the pair with it. if you unpair and make the left the right, when it crashes out, it’s still the right speaker in the pair doing it which eliminates the idea it is the physical unit but something in the Sonos software.Tried on three clean networks using Asus, net gear and now UniFi - occurs on all. The other interesting thing is looking at network logs, it’s not disconnecting from the network and still sending traffic but to do what is unknown.Anyone aware of what is causing this or if Sonos is aware - it does not feel it can be fixed on the user side or by the pointless network voodoo that people here suggest (“retuning to channel 666 while on one leg fixed it for me”).

If I e.g. select a Spotify playlist from within the Sonos app, the resulting queue will be editable. I.e., I will be able to clear it or move things around.But if I start the same playlist from e.g. the Spotify application on my computer, the queue will just show one item saying “Spotify” and information about the current song that is playing. There is no way to edit the queue.When music is started in this way, I understand that I might not be able to do more advanced queue edits, but I am surprised that I cannot even clear the queue?

Good day team, I would appreciate your help today. I did the Quick Tune (Iphone ). The Height effects are there with Atmos only of course. Settings: Height +7, Treble +2, Bass -6, Loudness on. Speech Enhancement Low. However I do notice the voices are too low and the explosions or action scenes are too high and I keep changing volumes. I usually use it between 18-28 tops for Atmos. For regular 2.0 or 5.1 I have to increase to 50-60. I have notices the Arc does not Upmix the sound like me former JBL 9.1 did.

I haven't used my speaker for awhile. Today I turned it on & clicked on the Sonos app. It won't let me access the app a page comes up "Sonos system needs a software update" I click on update now I get a spinning circle checking for updates & it says "There was a problem checking for updates" I have retryed this 12 times now & no joy ! I have rebooted system & uninstalled & reinstalled sonos app it's so frustrating I just want to listen to music ! I can't access app 😢 

I currently have two Era 100s working in stereo for listening to music. I am happy with the overall sound but considering adding a sub mini. Will the sub mini make a noticeable difference?  If anyone has done this upgrade was it worth the expense?

I’ve been pretty blessed that my system worked fine through most of the junk app release. Last week my parents asked me to come to their house and help with their system. Speakers (era 100) were all playing music but the app showed no content and volume control, etc acted like it worked but did nothing.  The buttons on the speakers all worked - would switch tracks and adjust volume as expected.  I left there without a solution blaming it on their WiFi.Tonight at my house, my wife’s phone is behaving the same way. Shows no content, volume control on the app changes but doesn’t change speakers. My phone still works fine, iPad won’t work.  is this some sort of bug in the latest update or did all our networks just break at the same time??!!

Hello, I have a sonos beam. After update app on my Android smartphone I was not able to connect to my beam. I decided to reset my beam too. Unfortunatly my beam can't connect to wifi anymore. I try another wifi, I try with another smartphone, I try only with 2,4GHz wifi but nothing resolved thé probleme. When I try to set UP, the app can see my beam but, I Can see all the wireless network arround but when I put the password, no matter the wifi I choose, beam can't connect eather with RJ45. Any idea ?

My Sonos Beam will not connect to my new Samsung Frame TV. I’ve gone through the in-app setup and repeatedly get the “TV Speakers not connected.” error. To troubleshoot so far I have:disconnect and reconnect Beam to TV disconnect and unplug TV and Beam from power for 10 minutes then connect back to power and follow app instructions  factory reset Beamplease help!!

I have loved! No adored my Sonos setup from speakers to port device through to what was the slick app/controller.One day I woke up and the Sonos app was updated and now it’s the worse thing I’ve ever used, absolutely awful, slow, unresponsive, unable to seamlessly move control from one device to another, but worse of all unable to add new or update existing playlists?!?  Who in the hell approved this? Being able to create and amendment playlists was one of the fundamental basic uses of the Sonos app and now it’s gone.I recently cancelled my new speaker purchase as I am considering moving away from Sonos now as this has become unbearable. 

Trying to add my wife to our system. When she downloads S1 and goes to join existing system, it’s not found. She is on the same WiFi network as the system, has tried deleting and the reinstalling the app, to no avail. This shouldn’t be this difficult. 

I have the Arc and 2 One's.   Could I add 2 new Era 100s to the Arc with the 2 One's?

I'm going to do some individual posts for each Sonos App feature I'd like to see.It would be nice to be able to rename all the icons, "top songs" isn't a big help. These from Amazon Music.  

I have a medium sized Sonos music library on a Windows server (\\servername\Music) that has worked well. Recently I added a few albums, tracks and artists but they don’t show up after “Update Music Library Now” on my PC desktop. I have removed and re-added the library, uninstalled and re-installed the controller, rebooted my Sonos 5, rebooted my desktop, and rebooted my server. I have double- and triple-checked the mounted network share, and all of those albums, artists, and tracks are definitely there.What’s up? 

I use a Sony Bravia 9 with Sonos ARC, 2 Era 100 and a SUB - so far so good. Problem starts, whenever I connect any other device to Bravia’s HDMI ports, Playstation, Apple TV, TV-Box, Marantz Amp etc.). Only if all other HDMI ports are unplugged, the TV recognizes the ARC, otherwise Bravia switches to internal speakers and will not allow to use ARC again, until everything else is plugged out. If so it automatically switches back to ARCAny ideas?

Apologies for staring a new thread but the exitsing threads are i) dated and ii) tended to go in other directions. I am in the process of moving to a new MacBook and noticed that when I installed the SONOS Desktop application I had to install Rosetta. Is there an Apple Silicon native version of the SONOS Desktop application? Thank you.

I am looking to convert my 5.1 architectural system to Sonos. I have high quality built in front and rear speakers.  My Google TV is mounted over a fireplace. The speakers for in the in wall speakers terminate in a closet in an adjoining room.  I would like to add Arc Ultra for Center channel, two Sonos amps one each for front and rear speakers, and Sonos sub.  If I connect the Sonos Arc to the HDMI ARC on the TV will that suffice to get the processed signals to the Sonos Amps as well?  Do any of these require an internet cable? -I have that available as a wired option.  Thanks!

I have an old set of Play:1’s in my living room that sound great but I am frustrated at the lack of AirPlay.  In my media room I have a Sonos Beam (1st Gen) and two Sonos Ones. AirPlay accesses that room just fine. It just occurred to me: if I swap the two speaker pairs and have the Play:1s paired with the Beam in my media room, would Airplay then work with all three speakers? Thanks so much.  

Hi all,I have two Era100s. They worked fine out of the box, but now after about 6 weeks, I cannot set them up both in one room. I can if I choose stereo pair, but as they are so far apart I don't want to do that. If I add one first to a room, for instance "kitchen", when I add the second one to "kitchen" it sets up "kitchen 2", so each speaker has a separate room. I've been one the phone to sonos for a bout an hour and they see the problem but so far haven't offered a solution.

New address and internet provider.  Reset and connected with Ethernet.   Worked for five minutes.   Now I can’t connect to Wi-Fi, Sonos network is not on Wi-Fi.  Products are not recognized.  Cannot connect individual speakers or system.  Deleted Sonos app and tried again with new app.  Same problem on previous Wi-Fi at previous house.   Sonos seems to find a new problem each time I find a potential solution.  I have been without music now for three weeks.    Either a solution is found in next week or I trash sonos products

For years I have had an ARC+Sub 2 connected to my TV via HDMI(arc). I recently upgraded to an ARC Ultra + Sub 4. I also have a SONOS Era 300 in a separate room and Play Ones each in their own rooms and a stereo pair of Play Ones in another room.Until last week I was able to play input from unique sources in each room and change a source in one room without impacting the source in any of the others.Now changing one room seems to make the change in all. For example: I’m watching TV and the Arc Ultra+ Sub 4 is set to TV Line In. I have changed the SONOS Era 300 to TV Line In, so TV audio is coming from both. I pause the TV and go into a room with a Play ONE. I set the source of the Play ONE to a streaming news radio station. When I go back to the TV room, the input of the Arc Ultra +Sub 4 and SONOS Era 300 have been changed to the news radio station. This is really annoying. Anyone else have this issue?Thanks,Kyle

Our Sonos app takes about 20 seconds (!) to connect to our system. Simply trying to turn down the volume takes almost half a minute. Once connected it’s a little faster, but still takes several seconds to do anything, and by the time it catches up, you have already tried several controls, which means the whole thing just goes nuts.This has been the case for nearly a year. I’ve tried everything - rebooting/reinstalling everything, changing wifi channels, IP conflicts, removing all sources of interference, moving components closer to the router, one component at a time, alternative control apps. Nothing helps. I understand networking - it’s not my network.If this continues into 2025, I need to start looking into ditching Sonos. I really don’t want to do this, but this lack of control has seriously degraded the main benefit of Sonos. I followed the instructions for the 913 error and share my music folder in my OneDrive. I added it to my Music Library and I updated the music library. My Playlists are showing and playing. When I go to Music Library, there is nothing - nothing showing under artists, nothing showing under albums. This is so damn frustrating.

In Dec 2022 I inadvertently purchased a SONOS ONE when I should have purchased a PLAY 1. My controller is SONOS S1 and I have 12 speakers . The tech dept walked me through converting the software on my SONOS ONE to make it a PLAY 1. All was well. I was away for 6 months and the system was shut down. When I returned all was in order except the system could not find the SONOS ONE speaker.( converted as above.) I tried  hardwiring it but the result was that only the converted speaker was recognized and none of the others were. I tried rebooting the speaker--The lights flashed GREEN etc but the speaker was unable to be found. Please advise. I now do not know whether the software in the speaker is SONOS ONE or PLAY 1. Confused to say the least. (and I do not want to use the SONOS S2 app. Too many of my other speakers (PLAY 5s-- 1st generation) will not work with S2 and I would rather not have 2 controllers.Thanks 

I use Spotify to play podcasts.  They cannot be streamed directly from within the Sonos app, so you must use the Spotify app and then sync to whichever Sonos speaker you wish to stream through via the speaker icon within the Spotify app. However, constantly my Sonos units are disappearing from that app and do not reappear.  I've tried uninstall and reinstall, logging out of the account etc, all to no avail.  Anyone have the solution?  TIA
