Beyond frustrated with the new app. My Apple service needs to be reauthorized. Sonos doesn’t let me do this from my PC, which actually functions. It makes me do it from the app, which doesn’t function (and is beyond slow once the new app was introduced). In particular, the app makes me sign in on an endless do loop even though my profile shows up on the app. HELP!!!!

Hi, I have a single story double-fronted weatherboard in Melbourne, Australia that is being extended, restored and built next year and currently planning placement of in-ceiling sonos speakers by sonance and would love guidance and advice on optimal size (6” or 8”) and placement for both 2 x bathroom areas (Bath 1/W.I.R and Bath 2/Laundry) and then open plan living (TV), dining and kitchen area.For the living (TV) area I plan to have Sonos Arc Ultra, Sub 4, and currently 2 x 8” in-ceiling as rears, but thinking it would make sense to have a 2nd pair of 8” in-ceiling more for the dining/kitchen area and for music. The bench that goes from the kitchen through to the dining will have a turntable and was thinking an Era 300… is this too much? or?In the bathrooms, I thought 6” but maybe 8” would be better and in non stereo? unsure on exact placement or how close could have to shower…Bath 1 is 2.9m - could have speaker in/near showerBath 2/Laundry is 2.9m but then there is a skylight above t

I’ve had the Sonos Playbase since it came out in 2017 and the sound is amazing; the best soundbar I’ve ever heard. The sound was even better after I paired it with two Play 1s. However, as many have noted, an issue with choppy playback started happening about a year ago when playing music through AirPlay. Sonos hasn't come up with a solution to this (I really wish they would) and I haven't had this issue with any other Sonos product, so I assume it's a chip issue and not something that can be solved with a software update. As a result, I decided to test an upgrade:I bought two Era 100s to replace my two Play 1s, and I got a Beam Gen 2 + Sub Mini to replace my my Playbase. Then I compared. First with music. The Playbase sounded significantly better than the Beam Gen 2 (with and without surrounds). Not a big surprise as the Beam really isn't meant to be match something as powerful as the Playbase, but I thought maybe the Era 100s would outperform the Play 1s. What was surprising is when

Hello I have Sound bar thats connected to a sub, I then have an amp in my kitchen thats connected to wall speakers. For some reason the Tv sound will start randomly playing on the Kitchen Amp speakers for no reason. I will shut it off and uncheck those speakers then randomly again it will start playing at some point. Anyone else have this issue?

The TV remote with my TV is an IR remote but also connects to the TV with Bluetooth which is used for voice search and updates. I've been trying to connect it to the Ray so we can control the sound without relying on the app but everytime I attempt to press Vol up 3 times it keeps saying it didn't detect a signal from the TV remote. I've tried disabling Bluetooth on the TV, I've tried turning off the lights in the room, turning off the TV and the lights, got a couple meters away and been right up close. Nothing seems to work. The manual for the TV says it's an IR remote which apparently means Sonos is compatible but nothing working. Does anyone know of a way to get them to connect that ideally doesn't involve buying a different TV remote. Might have to return this if we have to rely on only the app. 

How do I setup my alarm clock to play on the speaker insted of my phone, just like I do with the music. Pls help me Out.

Is there any good reason why I could not use the Era 100 speaker outdoors?Have a very small garden. The garden table is just 5-6m from the WiFi booster in the Dining room.  Have 4x 13-amp IP-rated sockets in the garden so mains plug-in is not an issue either.I appreciate the Era 100 is not waterproof. But I would only use it in Summer while sat outside. If I could use the Era 100 in the garden then I could either use the one I have in the Study, or buy a second one giving the additional option of pairing them if needs be.It’s also a lot cheaper then the Move 2, which also would need recharging.Thanks in advance of any comments.

I’ve got a brand new Sonos Ray, and I am using it as a computer speaker with my Mac Mini, which has an added soundcard with optical output. Setup was no problem, but I have discovered that if I start streaming Airplay to the Ray, the speaker just will not go back to “TV audio” after streaming is done, which breaks my intended setup and use. I have to go into the Sonos app, disable “TV autoplay” and then immediately enable it again for the Ray to go back to the optical input. Is this really intended behaviour, or am I missing something?

I have had a Sonos system for many years, 9 x Sonos One, 1 x Beam 1 x Era 100 & 1 x roam. I updated a playlist using the old Sonos app, (as we know that isn't a feature the new sonos app affords us!) and since then music drops ALL of the time. I could be playing music with all the sonos one speakers grouped together, and either one of the stereo pairs would drop/ unpair itself ( so only one speaker of the two would play), or one of the single speakers will not play music, although the app shows them as playing music.Sonos spent weeks telling me that it was my wifi, to the extent I was going to leave my internet provider. They told me to wire two speakers into the router, which I did. They also told me to buy a mesh system, which I did… and it still hasn't fixed the issue. What sonos is failing to admit, is that this isn't an issue with my wifi! I can play songs on my speaker without any issues if I airdrop the music to my speakers, not an issue. Hi everyone,I’m looking for advice on upgrading my Sonos setup. I have a Beam Gen 2 with my TV in a relatively large open-plan space that includes my living room, dining area, and kitchen. I’m considering adding either:2x Era 100 1x or 2x Era 300I’ve read that a pair of Era 300s might be overkill for my needs and that 2x Era 100s might be better for creating a home theater experience. However, I don’t watch movies that often, so home theater isn’t my primary goal. Instead, I’d like to create great overall sound for the space, as I will also use the system to listen to music, podcasts, etc. So I’m wondering if 1x 300 might be better than 2x 100.Additionally, if I go for a pair of speakers (either 100 or 300), does their placement need to follow specific rules considering the home theater (e.g., opposite each other behind the sofa, or next to the TV, etc.)? Would it work if I placed one speaker behind the sofa and another in the kitchen? Or should they always be positioned symmetrically

The problem is precisely when I play from the Sonos app:I go into the music service, choose any song from the library, it plays it, ends and that's it. Silence. It doesn't do anything else.(The device is Era300 in case that is of any relevance).Thanks.

There’s a previous thread about this that has been closed, but the problem still hasn’t been resolved, despite it also being mentioned in reviews.I haven’t been using my Ace for a few months, but I did so tonight and the problem is very visible. This time from the beginning. Previously it seemd to worsen the longer I watched.My Sonos Arc is in sync, when used alone, but Ace is behind, so it can’t be adjusted in the app either.Funny. Just a few minutes after writing this, there was a glitch in the sound and the sync improved. No idea what happened.

Like many others, I have had issues with the new Sonos skipping songs and stopping play altogether. The answers given on this forum don’t appear to have fixed the issues, at least in my case, but I finally tried something that seems to have helped the issue. I post it here since it seems all the forum questions regarding this issue have been closed.My network has a Linksys router, with a Beam located 3 feet from the router (wireless connection), and two remote speakers located 10-15 feet from the router, so signal strength is very strong. Re-booting everything did not help. Finally, I logged into the router and found the Sonos device on the network. The Linksys router I have allows up to three network devices to be give higher priority, so I gave the Sonos device high priority on the network, and the skipping is improved, but not totally eliminated. It’s barely usable at this point.So I agee that the song skipping issue is network related, but something needs to be done in the new Sono

Will the Roam 2 Sonos Voice Assistant work with cellular only? I thought that only Alexa required wifi. I’m trying to use the Roam 2 hands-free with the Sonos Voice Assistant on my bike while on the trail. The voice assistant light is on, but the Roam 2 will not respond to commands. I am able to use the voice assistant fine while at the house with wifi.

I have Sonos arc sub and era300. I want to use as a home theatre system.but my era 300s cannot connect with as a surround sounds. Message always come era’s Bluetooth and Line-in unavailable. but Bluetooth already connected and . Waste hours and dates to fixing this. but still same. Please advise me how to fix this? Thanks.

I run a number of Sonos speakers ( 16) throughout my 3 story  home . They are mainly connected through my wireless network. My wireless network consists of 5 WAPS throughout my home and have great connectivity throughout . I have fttp to my home and have a 250/50 NBN plan.my speakers all connect up when I am streaming radio but when I want to stream music from Deezer my speakers cut In and out and I can’t control the volume. I thought this might have something to do with the Sonos app updates as I read this has been not very stable. I live my Sonos system but unfortunately I can’t enjoy all of my various speakers listing to streamed music when I want to .my equipment is2 x arcs - 2 different tv set ups 2 x gen 3 subs4 x Sonos ones 2 x Sonos 52 x Sonos moves2 x Sonos roams2 x Sonos ones1 x Sonos boost hardwired to networkIf anyone has any solutions that would enable me to enjoy my Sonos speakers whilst streaming all music I would greatly appreciate it thank you regards Paul

As of this writing I have seen quite a bit of improvement with the new app.  Response, volume control and grouping have been improved.  However when using the ‘new’ app and I select one of my Amazon playlists which has an excess of 100 tracks the “queue” in the ‘new’ app will only display 100 tracks.As a test I launched the ‘old’ app on my home PC and when I select a playlist in excess of 100 songs the ‘old’ app and the ‘new’ app show the correct number of tracks.  The playlist I selected in the ‘old’ app had 494 tracks.It’s obviously not an Amazon issue and I was wondering if anyone else would be able to verify this as well.Apple Music playlists display the correct number of tracks in both ‘old’ and ‘new’ app.

I reset my Sonos speakers, and now it’s saying no content on my app. I tried resetting the app and the speakers and it’s still not connecting. 

Hi. I’m finding that most of the time when I select a podcast through the new releases part of Pocketcasts through the app it plays a random podcast off the list rather than the specific one I select. This is a recent issue (I’d say last month or two). There seem to be no issues with the rest of the Pocketcasts interface. App version 80.07.05. Anyone else getting the same thing?
