Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

My Sonos Beam Gen2 volume operates perfectly from the app, but when I try to use my TV remote I get an echo.I've gone to the audio settings on the TV and attempted to switch from TV speakers to audio system, but it instantly switches itself back, displaying a message that says: “Audio system is unavailable. Switching audio to TV speakers.”Am I overlooking another kind of setting?

Hello. I just set up my new Sub Mini, paired with 2 older Play 1s I have had for years, and I must say I am not at all impressed. I can tell NO difference whatsoever with the Sub Mini set at the neutral equalizer setting, and only know it works when I change that setting upwards of +8 or more.Any thoughts? I’m really disappointed, as I was excited to add a sub woofer to my music system. (I use my Sonos system for music only, not as TV surround sound.) Maybe the Sub Mini needs better speakers than the Play 1s to notice the effect?I’m on the verge of returning the Sub Mini, so any thoughts would be appreciated before I do so.Thanks,

Situated in my entertainment room for music only, I have 3x Era 300s. The room has tall glass sliding doors with no glass tint to minimize the afternoon sunlight. Because of this, I move all units out of the sun. This is an annoying exercise, because after every use, I do this.will Era 300s get damaged in some way due to the direct sunlight (which is probably about 30min exposure before the sun goes down)? If they can be damaged due to the above, will that affect the sound output? are Era 300s robust enough to withstand about 30min of sunlight? should I continue with this after use removal to avoid next day potential sun damage?I also have a sub gen 3 in the above setup with no sun exposure  

Pair of symphonik, worked fine.  One speaker power got unplugged for a week or so, plugged it back in, now only left speaker works.  Diagnostics show the pair is active and both speakers are connected with strong signal.  Tried to unpair, but the android app would not let me.  Figured I would try the windows app.  Windows app required an upgrade.  Meanwhile Sonos radio is streaming out of the left speaker only during all of this.  Windows app starts upgrading and lo and behold both speakers are working in proper stereo!  Upgrade taking a couple of minutes and finally says COMPLETE….at which time, the right speaker dropped out again and I am back to where I started.  What is going on here and how do I fix it?

So I have the following speakers and am trying how to best configure what I have to get the most out of the system:(1) Beam Playbar (3) Sonos One SL Speakers (1) Sonos Play:1 SpeakerI Currently have two of the One SL speakers in the back of the room facing the TV in an elevated position and they are set up as surround system (Left and Right) with the beam playbar (Rear Surrounds). I would like to set the other two speakers up in the corners adjacent to the TV and facing the listener. The TV is mounted on the wall in center of the room. I am not sure I can pair the One SL and Play:1 speaker so currently they are just additional speakers that I have to manually control the volume in the app which is annoying. If I need to discard the play:1 speaker should I purchase a refurbished or used One SL speaker to get the configuration I am looking for or go another route? Really tired of having to maually adjust volumes for each speaker and would much rather control everything with one volume ad

Does anyone ACTUALLY know this?From looking at the exploded diagrams of both noting the Ultra’s driver shapes, especially being that its chassis is slimmer, I asked and thus got ChatGPT’s partial answer:“The mid woofers on the Sonos Arc Ultra are traditionally shaped, following a circular cone design. This design aids in producing accurate midrange frequencies for crystal-clear dialogue and balanced audio output.”And we already know there are only 6 of them on the Arc Ultra (which will arrive here either tomorrow or on Wednesday the 4th). So if they are circular, what are their diameters?  (And of course the size of their magnets and voice coils make an important difference, too.  But I doubt even Sonos knows what the “magnetic flux” is, which is measured in “Tesla”s.)The Arc, as we’ve known for years has 8 elliptical midwoofers, so what are their measurements (height and width)?  And I’d like to know the size of the voice coils and magnets here, too.I think these diagrams will give ev

 When I use Add to End of Queue to load a user created playlist I still get the error shown in the first screenshot.  In spite of the error the playlist loads.  Why does this still occur?  Thought this was fixed. 

Am unable to link my Sonos One SL to the new app. Tried everything: switch off, reset, any kind of search, using the older app Sonos 1.What should I do?In other way, would like to upgrade my only speaker to a hi-fi set. Thinking of purchasing another speaker compatible with Sonos One SL and… what? a subwoofer, a mini, a bar? Would be grateful about any advise

The Arc Ultra is a tremendous performer vs the Arc.  Although the Arc was no slough. Everything is much more expanded especially for Dolby Atmos movies and music (both stereo and Dolby Atmos.)  Dialogue is greatly improved. My media room dimensions are 14 feet wide, 20 feet length with 8 foot ceiling. It consists of the Arc Ultra with dual Sub 4’s (both off center) one front on a parallel plane as the Arc Ultra ; which is 39 inches above floor and 26 inches from front wall. The other Sub 4 is 19 feet to the rear off center. Both subs are 5 inches from the wall (not in a corner).Surrounds are Era 300’s 10 feet from the Arc Ultra and 56 inches apart on Sonos stands. They are 6 inches to rear of seating area on left and right. Yeah, they are somewhat close to seating area, but TruePlay adjusts for an immersive experience.IMO a good movie that has plenty of different sound effects good low-end, dialogue and music to really push the Arc Ultra is Twisters on 4K UltraHD Disc (released July, 2

I have a Move speaker in my multi-room system but the audio keeps dropping out constantly. Few milliseconds dropouts every 15-20s. I have tried switching the channel but it doesn’t fix the issue. WiFi is strong in every room but Move keeps acting up. I use turntable as source hooked to Amp and all other speakers (Arc, Playbar, Play:1 x2, One x4, Sub x2) work flawlessly.

After dozens of annoying trial and error sessions (with mostly errors :) I want to briefly share what finally worked.Long ago the issues arose when installing my new ZenWiFi AX XT8 mesh system, when the Sonos system wouldn’t connect at all to the system. By trouble shooting turning things like the QoS off etc, I got it to work fairly stable. Until a recent FW update (3.0.0.4.388_24688) when the issue began with intermittent audio dropouts from my two Play:3 speakers, which are used as surround sound speakers in my Sonos system alongside the Sonos Arc (connected by network cable) and Sonos Sub (Gen 3). Both Play:3 speakers would simultaneously cut out for one or two seconds before resuming playback, and this happened ever 5-10 seconds. Will the music library I created by uploading CDs for the S1 system work in the S2 system? Will the Sonos Playlists still work?

 Why does the queue not follow the progress of the music?  When I’m playing track 137 that’s where I should be when I open the queue.  Instead I’m on page one.  When will this be fixed?

I have een old tv without bluetooth is it possible to buy some kind of device . So i can use my sonos ace wireless . I have a cheap bluetooth transmitter but won't work.  So if it is possible i don't want to spend a lot of money.

Regarding compilation CD’s they look like individual CD’s for each track in the app. they used to look ok before, is the s release issue??Best regards  

Hi!I owned a Arc + 2xEra 300 + Sub gen 3 setup and it was overwhelming on cinematic performance and average on music - I was missing the middle lows in music performance (which are very present on the demo sounds of sonos, so it's likely a DSP thing not hardware).As Arc Ultra promised better bass due to the new sound force technology, I made the upgrade and... well... I am not satisfied at all. Everything sounds the exact same as before. I did trueplay tuning (tried all three variants), EQ setup etc etc.I get even a little better performance turning the sub off in the mid los but then the deep subs are missing of course.I don't get why my SONOS system is performing so bad on mid-lows but only on music... I have a Sonos Arc Ultra connected via the HDMI Earc cable to a 2021 Sony XR-65A80J tv.  I’m using the Sony remote that comes with the TV.  When adjusting the volume there is 1) a delay in the volume response at the TV and soundbar, and 2) when adjusting the volume by multiple steps, it misses the input unless you press the button, wait, then press the button again.Can this be corrected with the tv settings? Or is this a common problem across Sonos soundbars and Sony TVs that is still unresolved? 

Just got an Arc Ultra and have it with a TCL R646. I can't get Dolby Atmos to work (the tv does support it). I've tried all the settings on the tv but the best I can get is Dolby Digital Plus 5.1. I've tried Netflix, Disney, Prime and Paramount+. Any ideas?

I have a system with  Arc Ultra 300 era surround Sub gen 3sub gen 4 When i run the trueplay on the Ultra with my Android it finishes without a problem, but it doesnt seen to activate. There is no trueplay toggle button appearing and i can still change distances of surround. (All eq settings reset though) I tried with 2 different Android units and get the same result. When i Ran the normal trueplay on my girlfriends iPhone it saved. But I want to use Android trueplay because of the bass issue with subs in Ultra and trueplay

Hi, I have Sonos beam gen 2 connected to my sony X80J. Audio volume is good for youtube, TV feedback sound, etc. However, whenever I play a video from streaming services or USB, volume is very low.So everytime I am trying to watch something from streaming services or off my USB, I will need to boost sound to 40-50. Youtube or TV feedback sound is already loud enough when it is 10-15.I tried to troubleshoot following the instructions found on this community but none of them solved the issue.

I had one Ray and one era 100.  When I play TV or movies I can hear the sound go in and out of the era 100.   But when playing pandora or Sonos music it plays fine. So I went out and got another era 100 and put it all on one system.  Now when I play like tv,  music videos or youtube tv, I can hear parts of what I am watching get louder on the eras 100’s speakers for a few sec then back to norm.How can I fix this.  This is in a 500sf office and everything has direct line of sight and less then 15ft away from the TV.   Again, pandora or Sonos radio has no issues.If I bluetooth from my cell to the Era 100 directly no issues in playing videos.WIFI is 200mb and just my laptop and tv use it.I just want stereo sound not surround sound as I use it for watching youtube videos.Thank you! 

It seems my Sonos Ace are lacking the ‘welcoming’ and ‘farewell’ sound when turned on and off or working, well, on and of, at least experienced not indicating this on a regular basis. It’s quite annoying not really knowing if the agre turned on or off. They have been update 1-2 times since i bought them in advance as pre-order at www.sonos.com when launced, recently updated to latest 3.1.4.e16.1c539 version late 2024.

Hello fellow Sonos friends:Does the original Sonos Arc work well as a room speaker? I’m thinking about a new TV setup (probably with either a new Sonos Arc Ultra, or a Sony Bravia Theater Quad) and thinking about potential other uses for my original Sonos Arc.I have an Ikea Kallax shelf in a different room, and 20” of clearance from the top of the shelf to a ceiling overhang. Would the Arc work well in this position? I’d be using it just for music.Do I understand correctly that the upfiring speakers are not active with music playback? Or is this enabled/disabled via Spatial Music setting in the Sonos app?
