Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Has anyone encountered this before and does anyone have a fix?I must add that we are trying to connect via the network. We have tried all the online fixes and still it is not working. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. 

Does an eArc output on my TV work with a Beam Gen 1?

Hello, I’m reaching out to seek help regarding an audio issue I’ve been experiencing with my home theater setup. Here’s a summary of my configuration:• An Apple TV 4K (latest generation) connected via HDMI to a ViewSonic LX 700-4K projector,• The projector is connected via its HDMI eARC port to a Sonos Beam Gen 2,• The Beam is paired with two Sonos One speakers for surround sound. The problem occurs only at the start of playback. The first audio output from the Beam is distorted or stuttering. I’ve noticed that changing the video format on the Apple TV (e.g., modifying the color settings) temporarily resolves the issue until the next restart. Another workaround I’ve tried is unplugging and reconnecting the HDMI cable from the projector, which also temporarily fixes the issue. I’ve already replaced the HDMI cables with ultra-high-speed, latest-generation ones, but the problem persists. Can I pair one Ace to bluetooth Sonos…eg Arc or Move and pair another Ace to Ipad.playing music on Ipad that is also bluetooth connected to Move…then we got two Ace listening to ipad music?

I plan to use Arc Ultra with Sonance Architectural in wall speakers for rears (connected to a Sonos Amp). Do the Arc and Amp have to be hardwired, or will it run wirelessly (including Dobly ATMOS)?If I have to hardwire, can I hardwire to a switch that is connected to a Google Wifi access point (that is hardwired to a router).  

Tried to play Dutch radio stations today but all seems to have changed to US stations, ads and all. Anyone else in Netherlands experiencing this? Tried to look for Sublime FM and Sky Radio. 

I have a beam, two era 100’s and a sub mini in one physical room.I have a Sonos ‘room’ designated TV and another ‘room’ designated Music.The beam+sub are currently in the TV room (group) and currently the stereo pair are in the Music room.  I have to remove the sub from TV and add to Music when I want the stereo pair and sub playing together. The stereo pair is in front of me. And I do not use them as surrounds so they’re not located behind me.For music listening, I obviously want the stereo pair and sub, and for Tv I want the beam and sub.I currently have to move the sub when I swap between listening to music and watching TV. Ideally the sub could be in its own Sonos ‘room’ then be added in the app quickly to either TV or Music…but this isn’t possible as far as I know Any thoughts? Thank You 

this is now turning into a repeat offender, and I feel it needs to be resolved.My Roam speakers stop connecting to any other playing speaker when it requires an update, but the app does not notify me of the requirement. Even worse I have automatic update enabled but no update is suggested/pushed to the Roam speakers. it is frustrating that you have seriously crippled your apps capability finding music. Moving options so they’re harder to find (impossible even). Offering settings that aren’t honored.the least you could do is to pop up update required if that’s the case - instead, you break your promise to the customer to provide a seamless audio experience.  now for the discussion: Hoping this post will Mitigate some frustration But I’d like to know who else is having the same issue.   

My Sonos Play:1 is connected to my system of Sonos speakers including Beam. While it’s able to control the music (pause, play, volume) but is not broadcasting any sound. Would appreciate some help.

My Play 1 in my bedroom has stopped working and won't connect to my network or Play 3 downstairs. Also to get it to work my Play 3 is now dependent on an ether connection

I have the following, 4X Era 100 Beam ,Gen 2, and a sub gen 5running of an LG OLED TV. is there a way I can get 5.1 from this?

System - 1 Amp connected to a pair of Emotiva ERT 8.3’s, 2 Ports, one connected to a Denon 4311ci (13.2) via Coax and the second connected via coax to a Musical Fidelity V90-DAC, connected via Analog RCA to a HK3490.I was an early adopter of the Amp and Port when they launched, and despite some issues with my Unifi AP’s, I had them working prior to the update by wiring one to Ethernet and leaving the rest connected via Wifi.Like everyone else, the big updated forced me to reset all the devices and re-create my network and this is when I noticed that no matter what I did, I can’t get my AMP to play music.  It shows on the app that it’s playing, but no sound...however it will control the rest of the group playing music on the Ports from the touch controls just fine.Apparently, one of the recent firmware updates killed the wired ethernet ports on the back of BOTH ports, they don’t even light up on the back anymore (neither ethernet port lights NOR the setup button light on the back - but

I have several Sonos devices and this one has recently just stopped working, I have checked the power lead, have tried another working lead, fuse socket etc. nothing gets it to work. there are literally hundreds of such events posted, with these being so expensive you would expect them to last. Is there an underlying issue with Sonos longevity?   

Well, I thought we were over the worst of it.  Christmas coming and I have friends round.  Sonos playing away happily- fourth track plays and bam - nothing.  No products found.  Thanks Sonos.   This is so far beyond a joke, it’s shameful. Edit,  No items showing on ipad, android or web.  I wondered if my TV would still play sound through the ARC.  I went and turned the tv on and yes the ARC plays.  At this same point the system reappeared in all places…..kids had been watching TV, I don’t know if them turning the TV off coincided with the music outside stopping. I sent in a diagnostic **********Moderator edit: diagnostic number recorded and removed

My Sonos system consists of an Arc Ultra and Era 300’s in my TV room, a Beam in bedroom, as well as a Sonos Port connected to living room speakers.I had quite a bit of problems after updating to the latest system (16.5) through the mobile app.  When complete, only my Arc appeared as part of system.  I had messages through the app that the Beam and Era 3000’s had to be connected- one after another. That worked fine for the Beam.  Then, when trying to re-connect first Era 300, it ended up giving me an error message repeatedly.  Rebooting did not help.After rebooting the second Era 300, it appeared as available, and I was able to re-connect it.  The other Era 300- the first one I tried to connect, did not appear. I re-booted it again, and then at some point the two ERA 300’s appeared, as did their surround designation, and everything worked.Since this type of component disconnection and difficulty in re-connecting had not occured for me prior to this, I am bringing this to your attention.

I have a generation 1 Sonos system and really don’t want to upgrade. However, I am experiencing issues 0laying from my turntable through the Sonos connect - agree a couple of minutes it cuts out. Have tried everything recommended  and have decided the connect probably has a fault and I need to replace. Obviously not made now but can anyone suggest a place to buy a replacement which is in working order and ideally with some form of guarantee? Plenty on eBay but generally private sellers.

HiSonos Ace not being seen in Sonos S2 application.Currently have Beam 2 and 2x Lives working great via the app, running on Android.  The headphones however will not connect in the app.  They are connected find via my phones BT and media works fine to them. But when trying to Add in app, just errors during setup.App is up to date. Can anyone help please?Thank you

It has been 8 months now and I still can’t connect my iOS devices to my QNAP music Library or rather it can’t find music.SONOS suggests this path -  \\SERVER-NAME\Multimedia\iTunes\iTunes Media but it just spins and then never connects.How can you break the connection to your physical equipment so badly that barely anyone can get to their music from iOS?I had this working for 3 plus years on the old app. The new app is supposed to bring about great changes, but then turns out to be *****. Perhaps SONOS is just getting paid money by these streaming companies to make your local library unusable! I really think that is a possibility at this point. SONOS just seems to close down any topic they don’t like as well. I am experiencing issues with my counts in the queues.After indexing, the counts of songs are accurate.  However, if you do not index or re-add songs to the queue, they are consistently off by a lot.  This prevents you from adding songs to the queue to Play Next. Has anyone noticed this?  It is not a huge issue but more of a pain. Any thoughts why the counts are so skewed.  This started after last update Build 82259204. 

Why on earth is this such a problem for Sonos.  I see a ton of SONOS employees on the support line who keep saying “So sorry, I don’t have access to a Mac”.    As if that is PAINFULLY obvious.I have Sonos installed on the same freak’n machine as Apple Music and all of my Music.  There is absolutely no reason SONOS can’t read the Apple Music file, access my files, and import my playlists . . . zero reason.  SONOS …. FIX. THIS.I’ve got my music accessible, but only via a FIle share and SMB.  Really?  You’re installed on the same F’n disk.  Why do I need to pretend to access it from a network.  Idiotic.  That said, I still can’t get the playlists to load properly.   I’ve exported everything via XML and RENAMED the default Libary.xml file to itunes Library.xml (I mean, this is the absolute hight of lazy coding . . . I have to name the file a specific name??? And it does’t provide a prompt that it can’t find what it’s looking for???).  Lazy.But even after doing this, I still get file not fo

I have a Beam Gen 2, Sub Mini, and two Era 100s as a surround sound system. Unfortunately, the Era 100s are not working properly, and the sound is too quiet even at maximum volume. They are not noticeable at all. I am quite disappointed. The Era 100 sound is strong, but not as surround sound. I am unsure how to fix that, or if the Sonos team can fix the issue. From my perspective, the Era 100 sound is fantastic and more than enough for surrounds if they perform properly when assigned to the room.

HelloI have everything well connected between my Sonos Arc and my mini sub, but I cannot have the mini sub working.What can I do?Thanks

Y’all, I gotta vent. I am a professional IT person (that has Sonos throughout his entire home and most of his client’s businesses). Today, I spent FOUR HOURS attempting to move two Play 1s to the internal network so we can control them via the PC app. This is simply impossible. Removing and reinstalling apps. Fooling around with a dozen different specs on the 2.6 gig wifi (and even some 5 gig). Fooling with Multicasting. Changing networks. Dumbing down just about every security setting I can think of on our network. Resetting speakers (over, and over, and over again). After three hours, I gave up. Let’s put it back on the guest network where it was before. Nope. Again, impossible. Can’t revert the speakers to S1. S2 can’t find them. Created a completely new Sonos account. Let’s start over. Nope. The app can’t detect the speakers, and that’s THE ONLY OPTION YOU GET. I can’t add “new” speakers. Can’t find any cheat codes on the Internet. I won’t even bother to reach out to Sonos tech sup

Since the Sonos Ace doesn’t come with an included power brick, can I use the apple 20W charger to charge the headphone’s battery? I see that the recommended wattage is 15W, but I don’t have any brick with those specifications. Are the headphones able to manage power by themselves using the provided USB-C cable?
