wifi connection on Play 1

I have recently upgraded my broadband service and have failed to get my Play 1 to connect wirelessly. It connects fine with an ethernet cable to my router but as soon as the cable is unplugged it disappears from the app. I have followed advice from various forums but still no luck. Most advice talks about going into “Advanced settings “ in the app but there is no advanced settings option in my iOS Sonos app. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Sorry to hear of the issue you are having with getting your speaker to connect wirelessly.

If the above advice does not help, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.

Try connecting your controller device to the “temporary” network the system creates during the setup process. After it sets up your device it should then revert to your standard wifi.
