You can install S2 on Android 8.1 without the Play Store by downloading the APK from a trusted source and enabling "Unknown Sources" in Settings > Security. Then, open the APK file to install it.

Hi guys I have the Beam Gen 2, Sub Mini and 2 Sonos Era 300 as my surround system. I added a turntable lined to Era 100.  Tv autoplay is set up as Ungroup on Autoplay so the Era 100 connected to the turntable will not be included when I use the tv.  Now i noticed that when I stopped using the tv and play the turntable with the Era 100 lined in, it doesn’t automatically connect again to that group (surround system+era100).  Any tips would be highly appreciated. Have had Sonos for over 12 years. App and customer service absolutely suck!! All they are concerned with now is selling their b******* services. Any recommendations on the best wireless speakers now? So tired of my playlists disappearing or having to reauthorize my account. Just b*******… isn't even odd to me that they don't bother to respond to all of the criticism and issues we are all having. Hi,I am trying to use my roam 2 Sonos as external speaker to my Windows PC, however, I cannot connect to my sonos device as it is not showing up on my bluetooth. I am able to connect my roam 2 to my Macbook AIR and use it as external speaker and it works to my Iphone as well. How can I fix this issue to my Windows PC?

I updated my SONOS to Build 82259204 Yesterday.  Now, I can’t access SONOS due to issues with firewall configuration.  I have checked and SONOS is set to allow all incoming traffic. Any ideas on what the issue may be?  Running on Sequoia 15.2.

Hello!Is the Sub 4 supposed to show more details where the red circle is? I had a sub mini before that showed the details of the device, but for some reason it’s not showing with the sub 4. Any help would be appreciated!    

Hey everyone! I’ve got a real pickle that maybe someone tech savvy can help me out with. So, I’m currently using Sonos One speakers at my workspace and the speakers are connected to our work wifi and past owner’s email. Thing is, the past owner is no longer in contact and we don’t have access to their email to transfer the account. The iPod we play music from is a 7th gen with software version 15.8.3. The Sonos app version is 16.1. The problem is that we can’t transfer if we don’t update the app to the newest iOS, but bigger problem is that the iPod is on its latest supported iOS and can’t upgrade to anything newer. So, we’re stuck at  seemingly impossible crossroad.  If anyone has ideas or can help, please do and thank you so much in advance!

Hi,I bought two move 2s with the idea to have them as a stereo pair when watching movies, and two individual speakers that can be moved around the house when listening to music. Never having owned Sonos speakers before, I had read about the groups in the app and assumed that I could just assign them to two different groups, one as stereo pair and one as individual speakers (e.g. room 1: “stereo”, room 2: “mobile”).But now that they're stereo paired, I can't see them individually anymore in the groups section.Is this type of use not possible, or am I missing a step?And if it's not possible yet, can we please make it so? I think it would be a very useful feature.Thanks in advance for helping :)

For the last few weeks I have found that the usually robust playback of shows from BBC sounds has become very erratic.I am using the S1 controller on both android and PC and my system is up to date. When I select a live or recent show to play, more often than not I get one of these error messages:“Unable to play ‘show name’ - the connection was lost’‘Unable to connect to BBC Sounds’‘Unable to add to the queue (error 701)’‘Unable to play the selected item’Sometimes the BBC Sounds stations and shows do not come up “Unable to browse music - there was a problem connecting to BBC Sounds’However after trying a few times it usually starts playing ok, until if I pause or adjust the time position, when again, more often than not one of the above messages stops playback. Nothing has changed in my network configuration, I have tried removing and reauthorising the BBC Sounds service and also different groups and individual speakers

This is an FYI for anyone that is using grandstream wifi access points.  I have mine happily working with sonos.  I have 5 gwn7664’s that are hardwired to my pfsense firewall/router running in bridge mode.  pfsense hands out the ip address.  I made 2 changes to the ssid configuration: ssid → edit → advanced:Multicast/Broadcast Suppression: disabledConvert IP multicast to unicast: active mode And now everything works!  All sonos speakers are running wirelessly.

Hello, it’s me.  Sonos, not Sinis :-( I have an IoT network, my secure network routes to the IoT network but firewall rules prevent access from IoT network to secure net other than established or related.  Can I put Sonos on my IoT network and connect and use it from my secure network?  I was pretty sure I did that yesterday, moved Sonos to the IoT network from secure as I finally got firewall rules working the way I want and all seemed well, but today I went to add a new Sonos device and it said Sonos was on secure network.  So, I seem to remember Sonos didn’t like being on a connected routed segment?  Is that right or no?tanks.

I’m enjoying the TV audio swap feature - but when I swap back and forth - the volume on both the headphones and the Beam always reset to some sort of predeterminded default volume setting - 60 for Ace, 15 for Beam.  There doesn’t appear to be an app setting to control this, and they don’t stick to the previous settings. Am I mising something?   I hope they update the app to support this someday.-Mark

So I have a strange one. I have added my remote control to my playbar by doing the remote control setup.it learns my remote volume and mute buttons successfully. In fact it successfully recognises my remote just by pressing volume up.Once setup is complete when I press volume up, it doesn’t work. No indicator light, nothing. Even through it successfully just learned the remote. Weirdly, volume down works fine.I have even used other random remotes and taught it random buttons for vol up, vol down and mute. And it accepts and learns them fine. But again, when I actually press the exact volume up button after successful completion it doesn’t work. Any ideas?

I've noticed that the 'PPreviousand next Song' button on Sonos Ace isn't working. It doesn't respond when I try to use it. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and are there any solutions or workarounds? Thanks in advance for your help!"

Hi,All my music is stored in a NAS share (OurMusic). I manage this with Windows Media Player (WMP). SONOS has access to it via \\NAS01\OurMusic.Over the years I have created numerous playlists in WMP, some of which are still active, many have been deleted.  SONOS retains the name of every playlist I have ever created in its Imported Playlists list even those that have been deleted from WMP.  Qu.1 Why?In Windows Explorer, This PC > Network locations I can see x.x.x.167 Sonos Play:1; x.x.x.185 Sonos Play:1; x.x.x.220 Sonos Playbar. When I browse these locations I see e.g. Sonos Play:1>Attributes>Playlists, that contains a Folder for each and every playlist I have ever created in WMP. But every folder is empty!  Qu.2 Can I delete the extinct playlists from each of the 3 locations (speakers)?Qu.3 How do I get SONOS’s Imported playlists list to agree with the current playlist list in WMP?Sorry for rabbiting on, would very much like to hear any

I have been trying for some time now different hdmi cables (including the stock cable that came with arc ultra), system options in horizon ultra proyector and sonos app, I own an arc ultra and sub4. So far this xgimi projector model is supposed to support Atmos in its eArc output but no luck yet. Is there anyone in community who could confirm my suspicion or possibly share some feedback on how to make this setup deliver Atmos? Thanks a lot.

I have a 2024 Samsung Frame TV with a Sonos Arc. the HDMI is in the correct socket. I often listen to podcasts on Sonos, and have done so for years without problems. However, two things happened that have led to enormous frustration in my ability to continue to do this. First, I used to listen to podcasts using Stitcher, was has now been discontinued. Second, Sonos updated their app, and as we all know, nothing has been the same since.I have tried Apple Podcasts, Pocket Casts, and Spotify, and each present problems. Because there is no direct link between Apple Podcasts and Sonos, I listen to Apple Podcasts through AirPlay on my Sonos Move and Roam speakers. However, it often drops the connection of one or more speakers, it’s difficult to connect to my other Sonos speakers, the volume control is even worse than when playing directly through the Sonos app, etc. I’ve asked Sonos support for help, but as of today, none of the problems have been resolved.I have also tried Pocket Casts and Spotify.
