The screen is simply a list of clients. Some of the names have been customized. I’ll note that only one of the SONOS units has a fixed IP address. This is risky. I’d fix them all.
I keep hearing recommendation that Sonos IP addresses should be fixed, I don’t see a need to fix Sonos IP. I had Sonos speakers streaming using WiFi, I pressed pause on the App. I replaced my router & APs, a totally new network address range, but kept the original SSID & password, ie all Sonos devices got a different IP address on a different network. I could see they all reconnected fine.
I pressed play on the App, and the music continued instantly. There was no power off of Sonos devices, no restarting of App, they just reconnected to the new WiFI (same SSID) got a totally new IP address on a new IP network range and continued as if nothing had happened.
Some folks don't need them, some. Find them essential. Nobody has identified wh.y
