Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I just received an email that Calm integration with Sonos will end. This is a big loss, as my whole family uses this. We will definitely cancel our Calm subscription, but it also is a blow for Sonos. Very unfortunate that this happened after being on Sonos for many years. 

Up until the last few weeks I’ve had my Beam volume somewhere between 17-20. Now I’m having to  turn the volume between 25-30. If there an update I need to do?  I’ve restarted, but nothing has changed. 

After almost two years, I suddenly lost the wifi connection to my Sonos Beam. I have tried restarting the router and factory resetting the Beam. When trying to reconnect the Beam, it is unable to find my wifi network. I understand this might sound like a 2.4/5.0 Ghz issue, but I have another Sonos Beam in the house that I am not having any issues with. Furthermore, I haven’t made any changes to the wifi settings on my router and don’t know why this would suddenly become an issue. During setup, the app does list other wifi networks in the neighbourhodd, but cannot see mine. 

I’m setting up a Playbar. When I get to the step of setting up my IR remote: I press volume up and it says it doesn’t recognize it Press continue The learn remote page shows for about half a second before it tells me it didn’t see an IR signal. I never even get the chance to press volume up three times.   I’ve power cycled, then factory reset the bar. Still having the same problem. My remote is IR, and I can see the light blinking with my phone camera.  thanks in advance for any help

Why is it that I cannot use my ERA 300 speakers as a stereo pair for streaming music and then use them as a surround sound set to watch movies? Yes, I know I can unpair them and reassign them as surround speakers but it doesn’t make sense to me since this is all app controlled not to mention a pain to have to do all that extra work. Can someone shed some light or maybe I’m missing something. Thanks

Wandering about the place connecting speakers as I did some chores in different rooms to listen to my playlist. Go to Sonos app to disengage the zones and…WTF! I mean WTFF!App now useless as it insists i perform an update I do not want to. My system works just fine as it is. After reading various problems I have neither the time and most definitely not the inclination to become an updated “network expert” to sort out problems I never asked for. Sonos you have to bricked my heavy investment in your product.Fortunately I also use SonoPad - for controlling the TV volume - which allowed me to separate my speakers.Why MUST I update my Sonos system to continue to use it?

I was despairing getting clear voice on a pair of Sonos 1s at low volume until I found if you face them backwards with the rear towards where you are voices are suddenly clear and prominent!  Give it a go as I was about to give up and try another make. 

It is possible to set a uniform volume for songs somewhere in the Sonos system. For example, one plays loudly, one is muted, and the other is quiet.

Why I am not able to add era 100. I am on repeat update app 

Why can’t I access any podcasts? Under the podcast services in the app are Amazon, Audible and Pocket Casts.None of those allow access to any podcasts! It seems they don’t work on Spotify either. Why do these services appear on the podcast service menu?I’ve removed and reinstalled everything, signed in and out of everything.Still no access to the world’s podcasts in the Sonos app anywhere.AirPlay isn’t an option. What’s going on here? Is there a solution, or is Sonos making false promises?

I have sonos playbar. Until today i have been using with my setup and it was working. However today my system doesnt see it anymore except ethernet. Do you know why? And also if ı change my playbar with arc, will app problems solve?

I am a long-time Deezer user on my Sonos S1 setup.  Starting today, I am getting the error “unable to browse music service”.  All my efforts to fix the issue have been unsuccessful.  Can someone who is subscribed to the Deezer service tell me whether they can still access the service?  I need to know if this is a problem affecting me only, or whether it is a system issue. hi dears, ı have a pair of sonos five connected to wifi and eorking good. I also have beam gen2 conected to tv bu hdmi cable to arc3 . can ı work 3 of them ehen ı listen from sonos radio or etc. I could not menage. (tv was off during my try) thank you

I have had enough with three out of four Sonos Connects that stopped working. Time to Wiim. Sonos is garbage!!!!

When I try to connect a remote control the Ray via the app , in the app it almost immediately jumps to the next step stating no signal was detected. This is so fast that I do not even have time to push any button on the remote control.  anyone that has seen this before or tips how to solve this? I already restarted and even reset the Ray, still the same

I have a new broadband network and have connected the old sonos connect amp gen 1 via the Sonos S1 Controller app. So far so good.Unfortunately I made the mistake of connecting the three play 1 speakers to the new Sonos app. I am trying to downgrade them to S1 but as soon as I try to connect to the new WiFi the speaker cannot be found.This is driving me mad. All this pain because the old connect amp isn’t supported by the new app.Any suggestions for getting this downgrade to work and to get the speakers connected to the s1 controller app?

Why is this thing so bad. It lags, the UI is terrible and the features are crap. It reminds me of an old version of iTunes. Sonos you really need to take note from the likes of Spotify and Google, their apps are amazing. 

Hey!I have found a solution to the problem where my Iphone does not find the sonos system from time to time. And sometimes not at all.  The problem was that sonos have godt an IP adress like 192.168.68.55  , but the network my phone was getting from the mesh network was 232.168.xx.xxThis means that they wil not connect together.  The soultion was to turn of the 5G and airdrop, set wifi of and on again and then chek that the phone connects to 192.168. ***. ** Then i got in to the Deco app ( wifi app). And got to the advance menu. Here you want to set a permanent IP adress to your phone or device. I found the IP adress that is  on the same network as sonos (but ofcourse the last digits is diffrent) and set this up as the IP adress that i want the network to give to my phobe each time it conects to the network.  After this it has been working just fine, no more problem. ALSO! You must make sure there i

I’m playing music from a personal library on a NAS, with the music managed by the Apple Music app on an iMac.Everything set up according to instructions etc - and everything works, plays etc. So far, so good. Metadata is correctly registered.But - the play screen on the app does not show album correctly. It shows some iTunes Library XML gibberish. On the MacOS app, album is shown correctly (image following in a post below)Is there something to do to correct this? Or is it yet another thing that hasn’t quite caught up btewwen the old and the new app?PS: Could we get correct sorting of names with starting with “The” and “A” - dropping these from the sort order as it should be?Screenshot showing correct album information from the MacOS app.

Somebody raised this issue a few months ago, related to an iPhone. You have marked it answered on the basis that Sonos are aware of the problem but have no idea when it will be fixed.I have had the problem on my Android phone for a few months.Please provide an update on the problem resolution.Best wishesBob, Austria
