If you haven’t already started creating them, will you please create Sonos earbuds? I don’t like headphones and Bose is great and all, but I’d definitely purchase Sonos ear buds the day they are released. The sound quality is unmatched. Thanks.
CDs are making a comeback! We all know it. Will Sonos make a dedicated CD system like they did with their turntable? I’d buy this in a heartbeat. it would be awesome so have that feel of physical media with my Sonos setup, and be able to skip tracks etc. from any room ❤️. The R&D dept. can have this idea for free just build it!
Please stop the endless UI redesigns and pointless icon color changes (like switching between white and yellow for Night Mode/Speech Enhancement).Instead, focus on fixing core functionality. Right now, the volume slider box is completely broken — the touch target/hit-box is too small and it doesn't register immediately. It takes multiple attempts just to adjust the volume. This is a critical usability flaw for a premium system. Please fix the volume slider response.
I love my Sonos speakers - I have a Beam, a Mini Sub, 2 Play 5s, and 2 Era 100s. They sound GREAT. When they work. Enter the Sonos ecosystem… the poor coding, the terrible user experience, the shockingly bad UI. There is nothing more frustrating than a song that cuts out, except one where the speakers play intermittently. Because of this, I loathe Sonos as a company. I am appalled at the seeming hate that the Sonos product mangers, the software engineers, and the company management has for audiophiles; if not, please explain the volume slider that never starts at a synched volume and has to be manually adjusted, explain why SonosNet continually drops out while my WiFi does not but am yet unable to allow the Beam to talk to the Sub and Eras over WiFi? As of now, I no longer caution people who inquire of me if they should buy Sonos, I actively proselytize for anyone and everyone to please make better choices and buy some speakers with a functional ecosystem - again, the speakers sound g
Hi folksi’m a sonos amp and sub user for more than 1 year and i think i’m going to leave the community because i realize Sonos is not really aware of what’s going on about music loverslet’s get an examplesonos app for the sonos amp is the worst app i ever seen .Since their update , we just deal with a 2 eq band ( i remember we had to “beg” sonos to re install the pan left / right position on the app after the update) that is ridiculous in terms of music corrections .i think it’s not a professional way of working with music lovers who’ve invested in sonos products.so i ‘m about to leave and sell my sonos products and move to a more professional music streaming company, this joke has lasted too long folks.S.
This morning I received an email from Sonos indicating that I had purchased 2 amps. They had my correct name, credit card number, and email address but wrong home/billing address. I canceled my credit card and I think I was able to also cancel the purchase from Sonos. I had recently (2 days ago) used that card to purchase an Andrew Bird substack subscription. I know Andrew Bird has done some work for them. I would like to know how this happened. I never made the purchase.
I received two similar emails over the weekend: Hi there, We wanted to follow up about your recent visit to Sonos Support. We hope you got the help you needed. Here are some other guides you may like: Note that I have not contacted support in many years. This email seemed more like a marketing message, than an offer of help. Really, I don’t need these messages and I hope that each of my replies here will not generate one of these emails.
It’s interesting how a topic can be closed before a fix is made. I suppose because there was no activity the subject was not important enough which does make sense. Seems there aren’t that many in this community that listen to gapless orchestral music in Atmos. Trying to listen to Mason Bates: Anthology of Fantastic Zoology streamed from Apple Music in Spacial Audio. The bumps at louder track transitions is very irritating. Maybe this can’t be fixed. Would love to know.
Hi everyone! Some of you may have seen my post on Reddit yesterday, but I wanted to invite feedback from this group directly on the same topic. Here’s what I posted over there:For the last couple of months our engineers and designers have been working to improve usability of the app and I wanted to start a conversation here about what we’re up to, and invite your thoughts, long before any changes start showing up – even in our beta channel. As you know, all too well, over the past year we’ve spent a lot of time digging out from the obvious performance and reliability issues in the “new” app. We’ve made progress but of course that work continues. Recently though we’ve also been asking a different question: even when the app works, does using it make intuitive sense? To help validate our belief that we had real work to do here, we’ve been in customers’ homes watching them use Sonos. We’ve sat with people while they try to queue up music to a room down the hall. We’ve watched them search fo
It’s a Celebration 😂😂😂
Applying for a Sonos Developer account has been on this stage for more than a week, now:Your registration is being analyzed by our team, please wait.Is there a way to see the progress, get an idea of wait times? The clients are growing impatient :-) Have reached out to Sonos Support (couldn’t help me) and the developer-feedback address I found here.Much appreciated!
Dear Sonos dev team,I use the alarm on my Sonos Era 100 to wake up every day to the same Spotify playlist. My Spotify playlist is in shuffle mode on Spotify, but the alarm plays the same songs in the same order every day. Please allow Sonos to read the status of the shuffle button when it loads a Spotify playlist and shuffle accordingly, especially for alarms.
Currently, I have a Netgear Orbi RBR850 router for my mixed WIFI environment that includes several Sonos speakers. I have had disastrous results from upgrading to a newer Orbi that does WIFI 7 and has different zones for 2.4 and 5ghz. I gave up, as it was more frustration than it was worth. My mixed WIFI environment includes WIFI7 capable products (Macbook M5), Sonos, Raspberry PI, iPhone 17 Pro, and who knows what else I have here (LOL). It’s worth mentioning, that I have an original Sonos Playbar that does NOT play well with the newer Orbi, that was a big problem, too.I have looked around and I’m not sure about what newer routers would work well for this. I even consulted AI, and AI said I’d just be better suited to wait a few months until the routers stabilize. Figured someone here may have some insight to share. Thank you!
The latest update broke my sleep playlist completely and Sonos has stopped me to be able to play 10 hour static noice sleep songs with YouTube music and Spotify. There just grayed out and clicking on them it gives either an error or does nothing at all. I already replaced everything, resigning in to everything, tried other songs, unplugging power etc etc. it is Sonos that blocks this cause they work perfectly on the services them self and before the latest update… This is ridiculous if this would not be a bug but by design @SONOS
My Sonos Amp (about 3 years old, ~$1,200) has completely failed! Theres a popping/static sound and nothing...I went through full troubleshooting and spoke with Sonos support, and the conclusion is that the amp itself is faulty. Since it’s out of the 2-year warranty, the only option offered was to replace it. Honestly, that’s disappointing for a premium product at this price point, especially with no repair option available. Has anyone else experienced this? Were you able to get any goodwill replacement or help from Sonos or the local importer?
Nothing to do with Sonos. However, Android cellular phone users in the USA may find the article useful. Good Luck! https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/google-is-paying-android-phone-owners-135-million-learn-why-and-whos-eligible/

When trying to unsubscribed, even when signed in, I get. You've just sent a bad requestThere was a problem with your request. Please try again. Had this for weeks.
Owner for over a decade. It’s now showing up in customers like me who have significant investments in the products yet they don’t work. I just spent 30 min on tech support wasting my time with no resolution! Hey SONOS If you need some to fix basic product functionality give me a call. I’ll be the guy who is replacing this garbage along with all my peers…….. excuses are not acceptable. Nor is customer support who is unqualified to deal with what I can assume are thousands of customer with basic issues…. Like can I play music.Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
Come on Sonos, ive got money to spend on this set up!! Lets go!!
The system would greatly benefit from a full EQ or at very least, the option to adjust midrange.Considering the cost of full Sonos system, the lack of actual equalizer really feels like an oversight. We all have different tastes when it comes to sound profiles, and having an EQ seems like a no-brainer feature in the current premium soundbar/speaker market.Trueplay does not mitigate the lack of equalizer, as the results are very inconsistent, especially in rooms with non-regular layouts.Sonos please, add an EQ.
Hi Sonos Team,I would like to request a feature to disable the "long-press to join group" function on the physical buttons of Sonos speakers. This is a specific issue in households with children, particularly with models like the One, Era 100, Era 300, and SYMFONISK speakers. My children have SYMFONISK speakers in their rooms, and because they don’t have smartphones to control the music, they use the physical buttons to play/pause or skip tracks. The problem is that they often hold the button down for too long, which triggers the "Join Group" feature. This causes their music to merge with whatever is playing in the rest of the house, which is frustrating for both the kids and the adults. It would be a huge improvement if we could toggle this specific shortcut off in the Sonos app (under Room Settings), so the buttons only function for Play/Pause/Skip without the risk of accidental grouping. Is this something you would consider adding to the "Touch Controls" settings?Best regards,A Sonos Us
Just FYI….I had a Sonos Order lost by UPS. I contacted Sonos Sales via email (*) and the next day received a response to verify my shipping address to get another order sent. My point is to contact the right department in Sonos which is not Sonos Tech Support nor this community. Doing so will prevent (or lessen) frustration. Make sure you have your Order Number and carrier (UPS, FedEx) tracking number and explain the reason for the email. To find the page in the snip-it below just go to sonos.com and scroll to the bottom and click “Contact US”. I hope this helps! * You can also call within the specified hours. Phone numbers will vary by region.
I recently had issues with my Era 300 and Stands. The screws were worn out after 2 cycles of assembly and disassembly. For a premium brand where 1 set of Speaker and Stand costs almost 1000€ the policy is super disappinting, a lot of non premium brands are way more consumer friendly. Sonos does not offer replacement parts to order (am I expected to buy the whole stand because a small part is broken?) Installation manual does not provide helpful specs “Black Screws” (say Phillips M5 28mm PH2 Bit) The support is closing the chat before you could ask all your questions
Radio France and its many substations (Musique → La Baroque is the one I used to listen to) is no longer reachable on my Sonos (S1). ) Any advice from other users? Still comes in beautifully on my Imac via Google Chrome but unlike my Sonos this is not connected to my stereo system.
